this question is related to the thread - [JB] CM10 Android 4.1.2 for the Defy(+)
- I am currently using the 24.09 update for CM10 for defy Plus (MB526)
- I want to update to 2ndboot builds : 13.10 which I cannot find in the defy ROM updater.
- do I need to flash all apps and data in order to install the new builds ?
- if yes, is there any way in which I can preserve all my apps and still update it to the latest build ?
- Can you provide a step by step procedure to update it ? (or install from scratch whichever applicable)

Hi, I have recently flashed the MIUI v4 ICS-2.4.27 ROM and would want to install PDroid. I understand a patch is needed. Does anyone know whether it exists yet for this ROM , and if is, where to DL it, or how to create it? Thanks in advance!
There is no tool out to patch ICS-Roms yet.
So PDoid is available for GB only!
Hello all !
Well is the history of my tf300t:
4.1 (stock) OTA to 4.21 (stock), (once had a crash so need to reinstall from sd card (still 4.2.1).)
i have enough with the latency of the tablet ! so i have decided to install cyanogen mod 10 (stable), but the problem is it's a 4.1 and i'm on 4.2.1.
In addition i use twrp 2.5, i was thinking to update to 2.6 but on the install note these 3 versions :
*.-ics - on the 4.0 official software.
*.-jb - if you have official 4.1 software.
*.-4.2 for the official Asus 4.2 update
If you choose the wrong file you may brick your tablet.
right now i'm on 4.2.1 so by logic i need to use the *.-4.2 file but if i want to use cwm 10 (4.1) the twrp will be compatible ? or i need to change version ?
thanks for helping ....

This thread is dedicated only for device OPPO FIND MUSE (R821), this device was discontinued from the manufacturer but our community keep growing to support it's user
I ported this ROM from from the official firmware of OPPO JOY (R1001), which have almost very identical specs. Mediatek MT6572 with 512MB of RAM and 4inch screen, so the bug was at it's minimum. There also some Color OS ported from various OPPO devices, OPPO R831 and R831K, but those devices are have some differences in specs. I attached some screenshots in this post.
What you need:
1. Working Root access. I recommend using Framaroot, you can download it here... http://www.mediafire.com/?rrutz7czckbcc4u
2. Working Custom Recovery. I recommend using Carliv Touch Recovery (based on CWM), you can download it here... http://www.mediafire.com/view/?jwduwi3cqv1y1dx
3. A fresh downloaded ColorOS ROM ported by me. It should be in zip format and located on your SDCARD, don't extract it. You can download the COlorOS ROM from link i provide on the end of this post.
4. For newbie, i made a youtube video about how to get all those requirement works on R821. Make sure you watch it and don't make mistake, or else you will brick your device (check this video http://youtu.be/xspIXoGMcz0)
5. A good knowledge of the risk doing this. Remember always Do With Your Own Risk (DWYOR)
Whats not Working (read this before you complaint)
1. Screen of gesture (i believe it's due to diferrence in kernel/hardware)
2. Wi-Fi Direct (i believe it's due to diferrence in kernel/hardware)
3. Hot-Knot (i believe it's due to diferrence in kernel/hardware)
4. Compass (OPPO R821 didn't have any compass sensor)
What's need to know about this ColorOS version
- No App removed (to make sure it's update-able in future)
- No Root (to prevent a newbie from messing with the system files)
- No Tweak (i hate tweak, sometimes it's make device unstable/overworking)
- No Mod (to make sure it's update-able in future)
- Pure ColorOS (i didn't add any other apps, so it's just like clean ColorOS from OPPO)
- I will add an patched OTA update if available (depending on OPPO R1001) in format CWM flashable zip. And please don't update via OTA by using ColorOS System Update, it will be aborted in the process.
- After update OTA 140725, ColorOS version updated from V1.0.0i to V1.0.2i

I using this ROM and it very OK
BUT..
i cannot flash Update from 20140828 to later.... why ?? Can you fix it plz ??
Thanks !!!
Will this work for oppo r 1001?
Ok so in order to built an official rom, if i understand this correctly, the developers must have the device drivers (released by OEMs - qualcomm, for example) and these must be built for the correct android version.
So if you look at a galaxy 1 (old device), there's no official Lollipop rom since there are no official drivers. So if you encounter a lollipop rom, know that it's ported (and expect issues). The best roms will always be based on official drivers.
True?
Anyways - now here's what I don't get: both Oxygen and Cyanogen are based on official firmware (drivers)?
Also - are they competing?
Last - what is the latest official firmware build of OPO (5.0? 5.1?)
Thanks!

Someone would have to build or port CM it isn't available for this device. Not sure if the source code for that device was ever posted. I may get one, they are a bit over priced though.
