[Q] SW 2.23.707.2, can it be unlocked? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi all
Have an International One XL with SW 2.23.707.2, wonder it can be unlocked via HTCdev and have custom roms installed on it?
I know 2.20 cannot be unlocked, just want to confirm if 2.23.707.2 is the same variant as 2.20.
Thanks.

Unless I have S-OFF

you would just get an error message on the website, its harmless for your phone.

Thanks all for the info, will try to unlock using htcdev.

Any kernels yet?

I was wondering if there are any kernels out yet. The kernels for the other one x won't work with this device

Pretty sure we'll need the unlocked bootloader first
You can be 100% sure we need an unlocked bootloader first

Is the kernel source released for the Rogers version yet?
If not, then you still aren't ready haha.

Go to htcdev and unlock your phone. Works great on the Rogers phones.

It only works on the rogers phones because ATT is being a pita. Eventually devs or ATT will cave in though. This is too powerful of a phone to be left in the dust. This phone could potentially last more than 2 years with the hardware in this.

Getting Back to 100% Stock

I've looked around and I can't search the forum from my phone so I started a new thread. If there is already one that answers my question, please refer me to it.
Ok, I'm on 1.85 with an unlocked bootloader. Is there any way possible to return to 100% stock?

Yes as long as your cid is11111111 you can relock. Then run the 1.73 RUU

Thanks gunny. Will that bring my baseband, kernel and firmware back to stock numbers? I'm not sure what my CID is, but I know it's super CID. I'll have to boot into bootloader and check.

Super cid is
11111111 you're all set.
Won't it say relocked ? If that's the case HTC would still know something is up ,or not?

Any Rogers HTC One X is rootable via HTC Dev Unlock. All you have to do is unlock it via HTC Dev and flash a custom recovery as well as the SU binaries.

ok i will keep trying i just keep getting errors dev keeps saying cant unlock bootloader
i cant remember the exact errors but after copying my code it says something to that effect about not being able to unlock it
thanks for the reply
You need to get SuperCID first:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672284
(there are more ways to do it, but I think a tool may be easier)
Then you unlock with htcdev.
Then recovery, etc
No cid/root required for a non AT&T Onex.
Just unlock at htcdev.
