1 Kernel SamePage Merging. after a lot of search , most explaination is this increase performance and also increase CPU cycle , so drain your battery and increase performance .
2. zram this one will also increase performance like app respone but drain a little battery instead .
3 rendering gpu option in develop , this one some said increase battery some said drain battery .
i try to find a thread that have full info about our CM 10 ROM but never found one .
anyone can give me a link ?

Anyone using SetCPU with favorable results for battery?
As far as I know there is no oc-kernel available yet.
Referring to battery life......
Ofcourse you can increase your battery life with using setcpu..for examlpe you chose ondemand governor and put your up threshold and/or your sampling rate higher. But this will make your device less responsive.
I personally lowered those values to increase performance, since the battery life on the one s is pretty awesome

Hi ! I need your help because I'd like to increase my battery life.
I installed this on my device : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2670621
I also installed faux123 kernel.
Both of these things said it would increase the battery life, but it don't seems to work, my battery last the same time than before. Maybe it's because I took faux kernel overclocked to 1,6 Ghz ? Or maybe these two things aren't compatible. Do you have any trick to increase battery life ? A better kernel ?
Thanks for your help !

Nice
hi, i want to know which is the best rom for battery life and which kernel .. for battery life the best governor without detoriorating performance is smartassv2 ? ... and what i can do to optimize the battery ? i use greenify and 2xbattery to stop the internet connection and refresh avery 15 minutes.. it s better to dont use anything ? thanks
ps do you have other advice to optimize battery ? l
I thought it would benefit everyone (newbies and advanced users) in quest and keeping track of the best battery life. So let's make everyone's life easier by posting full info about your battery Life all in one go, (SOT, rom, Kernel, Settings used).
PS: Everyone post their great SOT on other threads but no one say how they achieved it. Thats why i started this thread for complete info.
So here's my last settings
1. Stock rom - G935FXXU1BPJJ
2. SuperKernel V1.9.7
3. Nearly 4 hours SOT, nearly 24 hours on battery with 20% left
4. Reduced cpu frequency a little with kernel adiutor

Hello my friend. Could you please share the Kernel settings, ie which speed you set the cores to also which cores?

Sorry i don't remember exactly i just changed kernel. It was two frequencies just under the default one for both big and small cores. And i didn't change anything else.
I this guide i will tell you jhow to increase your sot . Make sure root access is properly granted . so lets start .
1. Download kernel adiutor app from play store
2. Grant it root access .
3. Slide into the Cpu section and change the governers to conservative .
4. Make sure the apply on boot toggle is on .
5. Then go to low memory killer
6. Here change values respectively .
16
32
64
128
144
180 .
7. again make sure apply on booy is checked .
8. Reboot and enjoy extra sot ..
If it worked then please hit the thanks button .
Ur SOT ??
what about explain what the low memory killer value actually does?
You're just reposting values posted everywhere on the internet. Without any explaination.
might as well underclock to 0.6 ghz and put the screen on 0% brightness and turn on airplane mode
This "Guide" that you posted does nothing but slow down the phone substantially and making it as slow as a 2013 low end phone
My advice would be to just use interactive/impluse governor and underclock to 1.4ghz

Don't you think underclocking the processor actually makes the phone slower than acting on low mem killer?

Underclocking upto a certain level is reasonable and doesn't lag
Anything under 1.4ghz will start to lag and be slow
I understand and agree with you. But what you said is not coherent with the previous criticism about the low memory killer tweak
You're saying that this process makes the device slow like a 2013 model but then you underclock the processor bringing it to older soc levels.
Lastly, we all agree that for saving up battery we need to take away some power.
Personally I am using both similar settings in the low memory killer and I'm underclocked at 1.6. Performance is acceptable and I don't notice any lag or issues.
LMK has nothing to do with SoT
