JB ROMs can't play .amr files through Evernote - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Evernote for Android records voicenotes in .amr format. Using any ICS ROM, Evernote plays back these .amr files fine. But I've flashed various JB ROMs (Liquid, AOKP, etc.) and each time I try to play back an .amr voicenote, Evernote says "The player doesn't support this type of audio file."
Can anyone advise a way to remedy this so Evernote works on JB ROMs?
Thanks!

I notice the same problem on my Nexus 7 4.2 and SGS2 4.1.2 :/
Do you find a solution ?

Nope... I started using Springpad for voicenotes. Then switched back to a TW rom and could use evernote again...

Hmm I'm running JB and don't have a problem playing voice notes in evernote. It asks me whether I want to use google music or music player and both play back the amr file just fine....maybe clear defaults in evernote?

what rom are you running? I tried with cm10 and aokp and maybe another, doing a clean install every time, and it wouldn't work for me.

Me, I'm with SGS 2 and an AOKP ROM and my Nexus 7 is on 4.2 Stock with root.
I use for the moment a MP3 recorder and I share the file with Evernote

Actually I just tried again and evernote play amr files natively right inside the note. Running jb leak #2.

Poweramp, latest version and import playlists?

Hey Guys,
So I'm using the latest version of poweramp on my s3. On the older version I'd had on my s1 I was able to import a playlist that I emailed to myself (probably exported from itunes or something) and it showed up as a file based playlist within poweramp and worked fine.
In the latest version on my new phone I am trying to do the same thing but I can't seem to do so. I go to import playlist but it seems to only try and import a system based playlist (I assuming it's looking in my stock music app) and doesn't give me the option to import a file based one as before.
Does anyone know of a work around, or am I doing something wrong? I hate to say I really don't feel like having to re-establish my playlists from scratch?
Or, if I can import it into my stock music app and then into poweramp? I don't use samsung kies at all.
Go to music folders , then tick " Playlists" and it should do the thing. Its working for me at least.

How can I point music app to my music?

I'm on Slimbean and for some reason my music app won't find the music on my phone. Just like how the gallery won't find the pictures on the phone. Since quick pic solves THAT problem, I thought play music might solve solves new problem, but it didn't. So does anyone know if there's a way to edit the framework somewhere to tell either app where to look for music?

Give Poweramp a shot. works for me fine with slim. I store my music on my sdcard also.

Try formatting ur sd card......had the same thing happen to me awhile back....formatted both internal and external cards(remember to back up important files to ur pc first) then put my music back on and it started playing just fine.

Samsung Music Player Organization Help Needed

While on 4.0.4 on my 8013 Note music files were organized under the album option alpabetically and all was great!
Now using any ROM above 4.0.4 the default music player no longer organizes it alpabetically, WHY!!!?!?!?! This is driving me nuts. I am not sure where to really begin to fix this. I have deleted all folders and then tried putting them on again but no go.

The only fix that I could suggest is playerpro, as I see no option for resorting albums alphabetically in the stock app. I stopped using as it ignores folder structure on nearby devices and you end up with a huuugeee list of songs, rather than album folders.
Doesnt solve you issuse, but it might be your best option.

The only reason I like the stock player is the widget. I have not found a replacement player that has a widget that is as good.
Dont use the widgets myself, though these are the playerpro ones.
Goodluck with finding a fix though
What makes no sense is on my galaxy Note 2 running 4.1.1 everything is fine and normal.

Stock Music Player

So, basically I recently modded my Samsung Captivate using the CyanogenMod and ever since then I've been wanting the stock TouchWiz music player back that came originally on the Captivate. I have the file and obviously my phone's rooted, but every time I try to install it, the apk install just fails with no explanation why. What can I do to get the stock TouchWiz music player to install on my CyanogenMod phone? Just, as a side note, I'm not all that experienced when it comes to all this stuff, so explain in excruciating detail, please.

CM is not a touchwhiz rom , that's why the install fails.

You can try too install samsung galaxy s4 mp3 player apk
Not going to work, the S4 runs touchwhiz. His best bet is to just try some of the many music players out there. There's a thread around about music players. Fyi I use power amp, and it seems like it's a popular choice around here around here also.

try another player.u can't get stock featurer on cm.
The issue is that I use iTunes and none of the music players read my album arts correctly whereas the stock Captivate player read most of them alright... I have yet to try DoubleTwist properly.
