[Q] Store music on internal storage - HTC One S

Hello
I have a decent music collection which takes up 1GB on the SD card. The only problem is that My SD partition has barely any space left (PS1, N64, and Gameboy ROMs take up a LOT of space). My internal partition on the other hand, has 1.68 GB free which is perfect for my needs. So my question is, How can i store music on the internal partition and get music apps to recognize it. I have a T-mobile One S with hboot 1.06 (bought on launch day ) running the latest Cyanogenmod nightly and use the Apollo app for music

I wonder if you could use es explorer to move the games to a folder in your root? Not sure though if it will have any adverse.

You should be able to move the games from the sd to internal vis the android app manager.

I already moved all the apps to Internal storage and using a root explorer i am able to move the music but Apollo doesnt recognize it

[Q] Can I use my 8G ROM to store music, movies .etc

Hi, my cell phone is Droid x, which has 8G ROM in it. except for the system itself takes a few space, the majority is wasted. and now i want to put my music ,films, and maps in it. then i changed the permission of /data to 777, and copy music, films, maps(data of a navigation software) to /data. but to my disappointed, though films can be played, music & maps cannot be identified. does everyone has some ideas to make the most of 8G ROM? as i know, many, many android phone has 8G, 16G, and even 32G, so it should be a method to full use the space, otherwise the superfluous will be non-useful.
Any reply appreciated.
You said films could be played... I would guess you can play/use the other media you have, but having the application find it would be more of a challenge (IMO). Try using a file manager that sees root and selecting the file there to see if it plays.

Root explorer is a great app on the market that really gives you freedom, but you do need to be rooted to use it.
Thanks a lot.
maybe i should change a media player to play movies which in ROM. but i mean that, is there a app that can map ROM files to SD card files, making all installed apps
identified files in ROM correctly and use those files just as they are in SD card? and i dont need another apps such as root explorer to open it. i have been looking for the app for a long time but get nothing. am i the only one need such a app?

[Q] google music

I have about 5.5 gb of music stored on Google Music.
I downloaded the Google Music app on my galaxy phone and then told it to make all my music available offline.
All my music downloaded and is available offline but I can't figure out where the phone is actually storing it and the amount of storage used only went up by ~3gb.
I knew at some point, but I don't use that feature anymore. I think it might have been on the internal sd . . . sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music
If that's not it, install DiskUsage and find it. Should be fairly easy if storage use went up by 3 gigs.
That was it.
Thank you.

ICS Chokes with lots of Music on SD Card

I've been flashing ICS ROMs since the first THS build was available. The one thing that keeps me wanting to go back to GB is any time I load a lot of music on my SD card (internal or external) the phone just chokes. When I go into Settings > Apps> Running; the free RAM will start out at 200+MB from boot, then end up at 0 free after a few minutes of being on. If music isn't loaded it will idle at around 50MB free no matter how long the phone's been running.
The amount of music I'm talking here is roughly 11GB (2400 files). I'd love to be able to run ICS, but it just isn't worth it to me if I can't use my Captivate as my media player. Has anyone experienced this, have a fix, or know where I can report this bug to get it fixed in a timely manner?
Media bug probably. Try different ICS ROMs - CM9, SlimICS, Nostalgia....
I have about the same amount of music and that hasn't been a problem for me. I keep it all on my external SD card (cm9)

I had similar issues as well as duplicates on some ICS ROMs. After switching to Slim ICS most issues went away. There are a couple of different things you can try to resolve issues.
(1) transfer music to internal SD or
(2) place blank file/folder labeled as ".nomedia" in the main music directory. The file will prevent media scanner from scanning each directory (and sub directories) the file is placed in. However, music players can still find the files, especially if you list the directories in the music player's settings.
Hope this helps.

Full memory

Have Galaxy Note 10.1. The inside memory is full (only apps and games data) and 32gb microsd 75% free (all pictures, videos and documents are there). How can I free memory on the internal memory? Is it possible transfer apps or other data (like Fifa 2012 game data...) to the external memory? Without root.
Thanks

APPS to External SD

Is there any mod, custom rom or method to move APPS to the external SD? I could do that in my Galaxy S2 but in the stock rom in my Razr HD is not possible, and i have games that eat like 2 gigs of the internal memory, while my external sd only store music and photos.
Any luck with that?
