unless you rooted/bootmenu/bootstrapper installed I think you can use the OTA which shows up for leak1( assuming you aware of risk not being able to fxz back to 2.3.6 from final OTA). If you installed any of above probably fxz back to 2.3.6 and OTA might be best option I guess...

It will not work without serious modification, in fact it very well could hardbrick you.
either go back, or wait until there are roms released that you can use to update

2.3.6 hasn't been released by Samsung as an ODIN flashable update, it's only available via OTA.

I also flashed this for the hell of it and he's right it says no update is available. Try flashing k0nanes tar it will trigger your flash counter but im sure the ota works with it.

The fxz back to anything (2.3.5/.6) will wipe all as is without checking anything. If it's the wrong fxz... then that's bad news - that's where bricks happen.
The leaked upgrade package has checks before it will install, so that is the one you want to worry about a clean system on - but it typically won't brick you, it'll just fail..
So, long story short.. no, beats audio will not affect the fxz flash - just don't reinstall it before you upgrade to ics..
Which 2.3.5 fxz do I use then because I see multiple

The very bottom one (InlineFlashing_edison_5.5.175.25_cfc_p3_APBP.xml.zip) is the AT&T 2.3.6 fxz.
The 2nd from the bottom (InlineFlashing_edison_5.5.175.16_cfc_p3_APBP_CID285.zip) is the AT&T 2.3.5 fxz (you would need to use the 2.3.6 "replace" files from the beginner's thread with this one)
So use the 2.3.5 fxz (second one from the bottom and then ota to 2.3.6 then to ics leak?

Either should work. But, the 2.3.6 fxz at the bottom will put you back to stock 2.3.6, so no need to go to 2.3.5 at all.. but your choice. I have used both. (But remember to replace the files first if you use the 2.3.5 fxz!)

Okay and 2 questions will I need to sd card in when doing the fxz to 2.3.6? And is there any chance of my atrix 2 soft or hard bricking randomly during the process?

No, I do not believe that you need the sdcard in.
And, sorry to say, but there is always a chance for something to go wrong.
A few things to make sure of before starting:
- make sure you have the right fxz for your phone (and replacement files if necessary)
- make sure you have the moto drivers installed on your comp
- make sure you have like at least 50%+ battery left
- make sure to use a rear USB port on your comp (or a very reliable one on your laptop - I got 3 on my laptop, only one works solidly)
- make sure you are patient and let the process completely finish

From the looks of things...yes, they look like the right files. You are on AT&T 2.3.6, and have never been on ICS yet, right? RSDLite has been updated to 5.7 though I think.. not sure if it matters or not.
Good luck, looks like you're on the right path... (insert standard "I'm not responsible.." disclaimer)

I have CWM installed. I guess I need t remove it to install the OTA. What's the best approach?

This! Leaked is now official...the build number didn't change so there is nothing to gain by taking the OTA.
I understand your point. Even so, if I were to decide to flash back to stock in order to update ota, I am able to just put my phone in odin mode and flash the stock ics Rom over my leaked vrblk3 Rom, correct?

Yes. Depending on which Odin file you flash, it may fully wipe your internal storage (including all your pictures, etc.), so make sure you read before you flash and backup your data accordingly! If you really want the OTA though, why not flash the Odin file for the JB OTA? That is the same thing as going back to stock, you'll just be fully updated already.

Ok, thank you. And as far as using the odin file jelly bean, I new nothing about it. I'm new to this custom stuff and it seems that I need to keep everything up to date manually. If there were automatic updates and what not I'd be more apt to running custom roms.

Where you on ICS leak1 or leak2/ota before flashing scv7? If on leak1 then there is a way to revert back to GB. If on leak2/ota then you are stuck with ICS based roms.

Is it an Indian MB865 Atrix 2, if yes then you can revert back to stock gingerbread or stock ICS using proper fxz script.
I know, because i was on the final ICS OTA, when my Atrix2 bootlooped and i had to FXZ back to GB 2.3.5.
Also, when my phone bootlooped with Cyanogen mod, i fxz back to stock ICS.

I have the ATT skyrocket rooted and unlocked when I first got the phone in 2011, and is on 4.04. I remember that the post said that I must unroot if I want to upgrade the rom OTA from ATT. Is there any other way to upgrade to the latest stockrom without unroot? I cannot find the post I originally referenced to root/unlock.

^^ what he said. Just get the .tar file from sammobile.com and flash using Odin. You will lose root after this process.
If you want to update using kies (the update is not ota. You have to use kies. ) then s long as kies detects your phone and you have a stock recovery, you should be OK.
However, I believe that you will loose your apps and data with both the methids.. So just use Odin

Thank you very much. I should be able to re-root after the upgrade, correct? Or the lastest 4.1.2 cannot be rooted yet?
I have problem with Odin before, never got anything done with it. Let me try it this time.

If your rooted why not just flash a stock rom with the newest update. That will save you the trouble of dealing with Odin.

Trouble? Odin is as simple as place file in pda and click start. I don't see any trouble there....

I meant it more of an hassle. Plug in Odin then uproot do the update then reroot. Just seems so much easier to flash a stock base rom.

Why would you unroot to do the update via Odin. I believe your logic is flawed here. Although I do agree an install would be expeditious via recovery, your argument is flawed.

Just FYI - I was on rooted stock, and just did the update with Kies without unrooting. Now i'm on JB unrooted as a result.
