Hi!
i am a little irritated that there are no posts yet to this app, it seems quite useful to me...
In order to make it more "compatible" to the average drivers usage profile, it would be very handy to have it run in background fully, so video and data is recorded while other apps like e.g Navigation can run in the foreground.
Do you believe that is possible at all? Have it access GPS sensor data while another app is using GPS too? Have it record video in background?
I reckon that would make it an invaluable app.
I have very often had situations where i wanted to prove that i did not exceed a certain speed and could not prove it but needed to rely on the video recordings of the police who pulled me over. To get out of these awkward situations i always need to call my lawyer and make him find some stupid mistakes the police did in order to invalidate their measurements. This is a very tiresome process and could be much easier with recognized proofing. Like with an App that records video and data, displays the data in the video as overlay when played back and also has the statistical data merged into the video in order to have an avi file at the end which contains everything and is playable on all sorts of players.
I am not sure what processes you would have to go through to make this app recognized so it would serve as a valid evidence when one would have to take it to court. I am sure it would need some sort of governmental certification, but even without that, it is a good thing to have.
Thanks for your work!
regards,
Sneaky

This is a clock widget with a live background normally.
you can swipe to view around the machine.
When you put the tracker 1 in front of the cam, the machine will augment on it.
After you augmented the first machine, you can active machine 2 with the tracker 2.
When you put them in right place, they can form up to one complex marble machine.

I think I might not understand this one a little.
The background can be modified into a marble track similar to the old Hot Wheels ones, where the marble will run from the oneend of the original track to the other and then, if properly placed, onto the next piece if track. I'm downloading it to try out now. Will report back in a day or so how it works out.
I'm not sure I'm clear on what the Tracker 1 and Tracker 2 are and how to get them to change. Little help, Dev?
Also, after watching for about 8-10 cycles, one of the marbles eventually fell off the track ad got stuck in the middle...
Be careful... The permissions for this app are excessive. Why does it need SDCard access? The undetailed description at the top smells of malware...
I installed this app and wiresharked it... This app is calling home.
For the SD Permission that is a mistake for App2SD testing.
This does only a simple thing, augment the track on the picture or call them tracker.
Print out that two picture which call Tracker 1 and Tracker2.
Put Tracker1 in front of the camera the track augment on the picture.
After the first track active, you can active the second track with Tracker2.
When both track on screen, they can interact each other.
Not too many interaction, put the trackers in right place then they will connect.
I think marker base AR is too troublesome and not too good other then commercial.
So there lot of space to improve. And though the questions I know this app an epic fail which cant explain it's interaction.
May be there is a next version with improved asset and description in game.
[APP][2.1+] "Said It" - easily prove harassment or bribery. Other uses possible...

You can use Said It to record something after it happens.
For example?
prove harassment, bullying or bribery
save important pieces of information (phone numbers / passwords / instructions)
record cute / funny moments
prove that someone said (or didn't said) something
It's like a dashcam but it records only sound and runs on your phone.
How does it work? Continuous recording? Battery drain?
Quick explanation of how does it work:
- it uses some memory as a cyclic recording buffer
- when it records it just points sound processor to write to this memory and goes to sleep
- when sound processor is done, it wakes, points to a next part of memory and goes to sleep again
- it doesn't process sound in any way - no resampling, no compression, it just keeps the recording going
- once you want to save recording, the memory is saved to .wav file on sdcard.
Battery consumption: on N4 it managed 3 days of recording on a single charge. It may vary from device to device.
One more appendix - memory usage:
It uses 1/16 of total device memory but not less than 5 minutes. There is no compression so it's usually from 6 to 24 minutes.
If someone comes up with 4GB phone, it will probably store last 48 minutes.
On 4.0+ devices there is a way for app to use all of free memory and release it when system is under pressure. This however would interfere with background apps (which usually live in unused memory) and it might cause loss of recording when a memory-intensive app starts. User-controlled memory usage would probably be best but clear and intuitive design is a problem here.

[APP][4.0+] ✱✱ Got friends snooping around your phone? Bust them with CrookCatcher ✱✱

Greetings fellows
I've created an app that might just solve your everlasting battle with privacy, or something of that effect.
Are you afraid your phone or tablet might be stolen or is your little brother, annoying friend or perhaps untrusting girlfriend snooping around your phone behind your back? Do they even continue to say that they're innocent of this horrendous privacy infringement? Then download CrookCatcher and bust them on the spot! A photo and location will be sent to your email when intruders are caught trying to unlock your phone. Stick the awkward selfie up in their face, and I can almost guarantee that their nose will stop "growing" at once.
Features
• Take photo with the front facing camera on incorrect unlock attempt
• You select the number of failed unlock attempts before CrookCatcher takes action
• Find location of device
• Receive email notification with photo and location
• Uses the default Android Lock Screen
• No services running in the background = little to no impact on battery
• Browse photos with location on the device, with (what I think is) an intuitive interface.
The Concept
... is not entirely new, several apps doing somewhat the same already exists in Google Play. I, however, found these to either be build on a jerky design that was hard to comprehend and navigate, or I found them too expensive - and that is why I created CrookCatcher.
CrookCatcher is namely, designed to be simplistic and easy to figure out. A setup guide is build into the app, which lets you set the few things necessary up with ease and speed. And, best of all. CrookCatcher is free, and no, that doesn't mean ads instead. CrookCatcher is free to use. If you like the app, if the app has even helped you retrieve your stolen phone or tablet, and you want to show your appreciation, you can make a donation from within the app to help support a hungry nerd and keep development going.
Get it on Google Play https://play.google.com/store/...

Hi Guys,
I have been working in my spare time (Time in which I used to sleep) on a game called Tiddalick.
Tiddalick is a frog who needs dinner. Catch the flies, avoid the bees, catch other insects for different powerups. Tiddalick is a free app on the play store. Please take a look and leave feedback.
I think Tiddalick is in decent condition at the moment, however there are a few items that I need to work on where I would like your opinion;
1) Login. People seem to remain logged out. I set the game up so that it doesnt annoy people to log in, but I am finding that people simply arent logging in. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this matter, and any suggestions you might have for improvements.
2) Level Design; this is a difficult subject, I am working on some options but at this stage, survival mode is the only option.
3) Insects and Super Powers; again, any suggestions in this department would be well appreciated.
Download Tiddalick
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Russell Elfenbein

Any tips on a good video capture program for creating demos?
I've made a trailer, but it is pretty poor quality... uploading soon.

Thanks mate.
I did some screen recording with ADB over USB to record the screen last night while recording audio with Audacity.
I reduced background noise with audacity, then exported to mp3.
I then spliced the mp3 and mp4 with Windows Movie Maker.
I made two videos of gameplay with the above method, then edited to the best parts of each.
This produced a video of a minute or so @ 1080p which is about 27MB. A little bigger than I expected.
Any suggestions for good after effects/post production programs?
Thanks,
Russ
Hey all!
My first ever native mobile app! Competing has always been close to my heart. I competed a decent amount in martial arts and one thing I noticed is that, the industry does not utilize the mobile technology enough. At least in the management area. So I tried to make a web app specifically for it. Unfortunately there wasn't any interest for it.
A few things I noticed why:
- If they rely on a web app and lose internet connection then they're screwed.
- Tournament managers want native mobile application that has online capability
- I can't get anyone to try out my web app for their own tournaments
Solution:
- Make a native app that can perform offline
- Make the app applicable not just for martial arts. Make it usable by other sports (casual darts / billiard games)

}
About the app (Where it is right now):
- Creates a single elimination bracket
- Manages all the participants added in all brackets made
- Pure offline except when registering the user on first use.
- Auto seeds registered participants
- Limited to 4 brackets and max 8 participants per bracket
Todo:
- Get the first version stable
- See if there's any need for multiple bracketing types
- Follow it up with online capabilities by utilizing web app api
- Double Elimination brackets
Current issues:
- Once you upgrade to the next version it would clear the cache automatically to prevent issues that will make the app crash. This is more for database changes that happen often and fast. I don't know how to deal with it atm.
- The bracket view is slow. I'm not sure how to make it fast.
- The UI of the bracket , I'm not sure how to make it look like you need to tap the match area in order to view the match results/details
