Aah! For that, you'll need something like Advanced Config on an unlocked phone. Can't do it on a stock one.

My phone is interop unlocked.. Could you guide how to change it ?

Install WP7 Root Tools.
Install Bazaar.
Mark Bazaar as Trusted using WP7 Root Tools.
Run Bazaar and browse to one of the several tools that allow you to change the notification sounds.
Install it.
Mark it as trusted in WP7 Root Tools.
Run it.
There are other ways, but this is probably the easiest to describe in a step-by-step, and if you go "EEK" at the though of running a tool, I shudder to think what you might do if I told you to go intot he registry and edit it manually...

For change only ringtones and sms you can use:

How to change vibration pattern for HTC tytn 2

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if that possible to change vibration pattern for HTC tytn 2 ?
It is really annoying that the vibration keeping vibrate continueing. It would be nice if it can change to like Nokia.....
You would probably get a better answer if you posted this in the general thread.
I use phonealarm and it lets me change the vibration settings. I dont know any other way to change it.
-McMex
I think you can change the registry to do this.
But I am not exactly know how to do
I only know in HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Script, v0 means the vibration becomes non-stop. So I think it is possible if put the repeat command in here to get the result as you want!

Edited your post. Do not post Keygens / Serial numbers.
This is your first and last warning!
there also used to be an option of adjusting how phone rings in some Advanced Config settings, but It is not there in the new v3.3
Does anyone know how to add that option back in?

Through Sounds and Notifications. If you want to get customised sounds on your system, you can place them on your SD card or copy into Windows directory, then select through Sounds and Notifications under Notifications tab, just select SMS from a pull down menu, tick Enable Sound and select the sound you want.
Thanx for your response, but it doesn't what I mean. What I mean is when you sent sms, it will appear notification SMS SENT bubble with sound. Now how to change this sound of sms sent notification. Please reply.

Guys,
I van change this stuff, with reg edit go to
HKCU
Control panel
Notifications
Default
Wave
Then edit with the extension of "wav" or Mp3 sounds that what you want
ex. /Windows/alarm2.wav
or what ever you want..
The sent notifications would annoy me no matter what they sounded like, which is probably the reason I disabled the whole thing in Advanced Config. But thanks for the tip, might be useful to someone.
stupid answers
why cant people in this forum, in general, not just answer the question straight away, instead of giving stupid opinions which are not needed anyway? thanks for coming up with the solution the the poster of the tip how to change notification sound. been searching for this for months now.

Don't think we have the need for the replies of the kind you posted either. Ironic, isn't it?
Calm down everyone... This has been posted everywhere.
Use any registry editor, go to:
hkcu\controlpanel\notifications\default\wave
then edit the string by changing to your desired msg tone inside the windows root directory
for example change the default to any wave file you have...

froyostone with sense no ringtones?

I'm new and tried googling and all for this problem. I installed a custom rom (miri) and froyostone android and for some reason I can't select a ring tone or any other sound setting.
My phone calls work fine and all other sounds do to. What is the reason I can't select a ring tone?
I tried to download the media folder and still nothing.
go to the app store and search for free ringtone programs. install one and pick a ringtone and it should let you pick it then.

Didn't work.
If I go to sound settings, click on phone ringtone, there's nothing there. I can't select anything either.

Yea, I got the 1 ringtone I downloaded to show, just not the others. I will try the other option. I'll post back.
sorry, I don't play much with android. Looks too much like ios to me and didn't really have any advantages for what I use the phone for everyday.
That second option did it. I read you had to put the media folder in the root. I didn't know it meant the root of android folder. Thanks for the help. It's much appreciated.
its a folder titled media that you have to put in the android folder when you start it up.

Any hidden call recorder

I was wondering is there any Call recorder..That would not leave any icon and could record all calls (made/received) ?
without letting the user know

It's pretty simple to take a working thing you want and make it like this. A project would be the app in its entirety...something like this is just a tweak.
Look into other apps that hide icons and such for examples.

Does Samsung Galaxy Note (gingerbread) default launcher have this option?
hiding works great. but it will still show up in play store or worse case as an update notification.
Well you can avoid that by unattaching it from the market. I know apps like Titanium can do this.
Some roms have this functionality built into them.

no, has to be rooted
For those who are rooted and have unlocked the bootloader, I know when I was running SynergyRom R73 nightly, there was a button in the upper right when I was in a call that allowed me to record. I believe the button was labelled "Record" and then it would get saved to the Samsung stock ROM voice recording app for the audio recordings. I'm on Liquidsmooth right now and am missing that feature dearly. Made me feel like a superspy or something

I would recommend MobileRecorder24 (see MobileRecorder24.com). It does exactly what you want - records all calls, sms and audio surrondings in stealth regime and stores them online. Also it can hide its icon.

[Q] Disable Ticker Animation (Notification Privacy)

I am talking about Paranoid Android's very useful tweak. The "Do Not Disturb" option in settings menu where it completely disables the ticker animation whenever there's a notification.
This is a great tweak for me because whenever a friend borrows my phone to browse the web or to send an sms, he/she sees the COMPLETE incoming text thru the ticker animation. This is really an annoying accidental invasion of my privacy.
"So why don't you just use paranoid android rom?"
Well, because that mod is the only reason i was able to stick to that rom for almost 2 weeks.
I am more than willing to create a custom rom that suits my exact preferences but i lack the time and skills to do it.
Okay so i've searched EVERYWHERE (trust me) but i can't find an individual mod that does exactly this.
Thanks for reading and I am very grateful if anyone answers. :good:

Does it only affect SMS/MMS? If so, the mod can probably be cleanly packaged into a modded mms.apk and the setting option/toggle moved from PA settings to mms settings. Can't say, never used it, but someone with time on their hand can probably track it in the PA git.

It affects all ticker animations that pop up on the status bar whenever there's a notification.
For example, when i turn the feature on and i use titanium backup to do a batch restore, the icon is still there but there will be no ticker animation.
It's quite redundant if you ask me.

Still no luck? I am searching everywhere, like you, but I can't find a mod for this. It is found in Cataclysm rom, but I can't understand why this is not asked for more. Every rom should have a preference to disable all notification tickers.

I learned to accept the fact that noone will make a stand-alone mod (or even an app) for this specific feature.
I am in exactly the same boat.. I don't know how many hours I've spent looking around and found nothing.
I need to specifically for WhatsApp; no such luck.
Did you guys find anything?

No luck here. Almost 2 years looking around.
If I had a better idea how ROMs work.. I would've had a look at the one you mentioned in your OP and maybe create an XPOSED mod..

So nobody has helped you yet? Strange.
Decompile SystemUI with ApkTool (Import the framework, decompile)
Open res/values/bools
Modify the string <bool name="enable_ticker">true</bool> TO <bool name="enable_ticker">false</bool>
Recompile the app with apktool using the command: apktool b -c SystemUI.apk.
