TF700KL Experience? - Asus Transformer TF700

Does anybody have the tf700kl and if u do, can you do a video on the browser and how it is working for the community. Also, some benchmarks would be awesome and we would really appreciate it.

there's already a thread for the LTE version in Q&A section, it's (edit: was) only available in germany, only few people have it.
here are also some benchmarks: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1891320

[Q] Asus EEE Pad Slider(SL101) - Not Transformer

Can we please get a thread going since root has been achieved for the Slider? Please?
Shouldn't it have it's own forum? Or is it that similar to the Transformer? I don't own an SL101.

You are correct, I mis-spoke. They are similar for sure but not enough to share a forum. Can we please request a forum?

It is pretty close to the Transformer but it does not seem to have gotten more (important) updates. For instance it has the old market and seems to have weaker wifi. My wife has one so I have been testing to check differences. I don't think it is so different that it needs its own forums, though I wouldn't mind looking directly for problems related to it.
There is a place on the xda site to request a forum. A mod who can create a forum for you is not likely to see this thread
yep. I own an sl101 too and depending on if I can use tf101 roms on the sl101 or not it would probly need it's own section right

Will Transformer Prime get its own forum?

Just curious cause sometimes one is created as new items are mentioned and based on popularity
I, TF, sent this on behalf of my owner
Probably will at some point if the index is any indication, and I believe there is a place somewhere to ask for it, or so I once read a post saying as much.

God i hope so !!!!!!
I own a TF101 and it would be nice to come to ask a question or find something without either wading through posts about the prime or the prime screwing up my search within the forum.

Google Now Flashable Zips

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29756226#post29756226
Will be flashing this when I get home to my Galaxy Note, wondering if it'll be compatable with our Infinity. Obviously you will need CM or TWRP first, but...
I just flashed the mikey6 online version, and it ran very smoothly and worked very well.

Traveling to another country

I live in the US, but am now in Manila on business. I see that hbo go, netflix and crackl are not working from here. Is there some way to get them to work?

Have you tried using a proxy?
Welcome to the world outside the US. You're experiencing what most of us deal with on a daily basis. You should try youtube, you'll have a blast with the 60% that simply doesn't work because "This content is only available in the US." Or try buying an Ebook. That'll be a laugh.

So it's not blocked everywhere outside the US.
A friend of mine in Oslo can't see it...not sure why he can't.
Thanx Tim!
http://www.freehostedvpn.com These work great! Use the US one myself for enabling the full play store here in belgium. Works excellent with crackle too.

HD playback

Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using xda app-developers app
Can somebody tell me why, when I rent a movie on google play, I get a message that tells me that HD playback is not supported on this device. I have the latest update from Asus. I should note that I am streaming the movie to the tv via an HDMI cable.

It's because once you unlock google for whatever reason no longer allow you to view HD videos on their app.... Complain to google.
What do you mean "unlock google"?

He meant once you unlocked your device, Google app doesn't allow you to play HD videos.
I didn't say that I unlocked my device. It is totally stock with the latest update, android 4.2.1. I came to this site because I frequently browse it and I figured there are enough knowledgeable people here to maybe get a solution to my question. These tablets are supposed to have the latest and greatest features, including HD capabilities. I have submitted the question to Asus support, since posting here, but I like to get input from other users.

My bad I assumed you had unlocked.
Another user confirmed unlocking killed HD via testing hence my comment.
Do you get HD without HDMI? Asus will probably tell you to factory reset
Kinda comforting to hear that Google is not punishing us for unlocking :sly:
And why would they??

Because it might allow circumventing their Digital Restrictions Management.
Must be the app. I found some hd content on you tube and it played fine. Should have tried that first, but I expect Google's product to work with it's
OS. Silly me!
