is there any way to unlock the official HTC shipped mango ROMs?
I'm from south east asia, currently running Mango 7720 RTM on my HTC HD7. I would like to replace the OS with the official HTC shipped mango ROM for asia. I'm concerned about the games and apps I'd sideloaded previously. Is there a way to unlock this official ROM so that I would be able to sideload apps and games?
Thank you in advance.

No, not as of yet. The thread you should be watching is...

He's found a way to INTEROP-UNLOCK mango but, on LG and Samsung devices only right now but, IS working on HTC devices. Some very interesting discussion.
You still would need to be at least Dev unlocked to be able to side load his app tho.
thank you. for now, i've installed HSPL and loaded a custom unlocked official HTC Europe ROM on my HD7. Turns out the HTC Asia ROMs leaked out were not suitable to be loaded on my phone directly. They are for phones old in Singapore/Malaysia. I bought mine from Thailand
Is it possible to upgrade my hTC Desire HD with a stock ICS?
It was originally bought in Japan, locked to Softbank with that carrier's bloated ROM (on GB).
I then rooted it and flashed CoreDroid 9.2
At hTC Japan they refuse to help me citing carrier agreements.
This upsets me because the device is mine and I want to upgrade it, if it is technically possible.
Can I just go to any English hTC website and try to upgrade my phone using the ICS for my same model but sold unlocked in another country?
TIA
Tommaso
Anyone? Any advice? Please?
Hi there
I recently got this fom from Telstra in Australia, and was just wondering if there was a way to flash it back to a stock HTC rom? Is windows phone like the iPhone in that the updates come from Apple directly? Or do they have to be carrier approved? Can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
The reason I want to flash it back to stock and not a Telstra rom is so I can get the updates directly from HTC.
Any ideas??
Cheers

Hey, there are no custom WP8 ROMs! WP8 is really not the same as iOS. All WP8 ROMs are stock because it is very fresh and new OS, currently noone can cook and flash custom ROM. You are running stock ROM. Or maybe 8X isn't your device??? I have no idea why your updates come from Apple... Maybe update is for any Apple's app in your phone?.. Or maybe you have iPhone... I don't know.

I'm pretty sure that updates are carrier specific. Don't quote me on that though. I am new to Windows Phones. If you are feeling froggy you can try this. It doesn't work on my Verizon 8X though.

The only ROM I know if is a European one that you'll find in the dev section which as you rightly pointed out, is no good for our devices. I have not seen any news yet on a stock USA ROM. I think many of us here with ATT, Bell, Rogers, etc would like to get our hands on it but it just does not exist as of now. Considering how popular the 8X is supposed to be, it's surprising but unfortunately the reality.
Keep your fingers crossed. Maybe something soon...
I want to join this request. I have c625b (TELSTRA, Australia, pm233...).

There are some unbranded Asian ROMS that have leaked as well. Perhaps those will work better? They are over on the Dark Forces Team forums.
can i flash my at&t 8x with europe rom? or it brick the phone or just the lte stop working?
+1 for this - have a verizon one which I'm using on t-mobile
+1. At&t Engineering unit here. Would like to go back to stock
I would love the stock TMOUS Rom v1532.20.20010.531 or later! This ROM enables Wi-Fi Calling for us T-mobile customers!
Anyone here could help us?
I Have an HTC 8X, Model C625a. I want to know if is posible to flash it, beocuse i am thinking about release it, so i can install applications that are not from the windows online store. I could try by the Microsoft way (Registering it as a Developer/Development Phone using a Windows Live ID) or by the other way, using an application to Jail Break it.
If is the case, and the Jailbreaker Application breakes the Windows Phone System, i want to know what posibilities do i have of repair it. Could I do a hard reset to the phone to restore the original system? or Do i Have an other way to install applications.
The Carrier is Rogers Canada, but is unlocked working with Cubacel
Sorry if the message has some spell errors, I am cuban and I am learning english now
AT&T 8X, looking for HTC stock rom
Hello,
I'm also looking to unbrand my ATT HTX 8X, the model is PM23300. I couldn't find any rom for it. I'm using the phone in Canada, so i need a north american rom.
Thank you for helping!
Dear friends. I believe there's a lot of people having STUCK IN GEARS problems with their phones. Is it possible for a good soul to dump the stock rom so we can play with and try to fix our phones???
I would like to know if it is possible to flash the European rom or Tmobile official stock rom to a Solavei branded HTC One S
Wrong section. And I'm not sure about stock T-Mobile rom, but I know you can flash 3rd party rom - just make sure to check whether you're S3 or S4.
I'm using a Solvaei branded One S, the only difference between this and the stock T-Mobile one is the inclusion of the Solavei Rom and exclusion of T-Mobile apps. Is there a specific reason you want the T-Mobile rom?

I don't want the Solvaei apps or the Solavei bootscreen. I would prefer either the tmobile or official eu ruu rom.

Hm, if you prefer Sense over AOKP or CM10.1, you'd be better off using a rom from this subsection. I would stay away from a T-Mobile or Official EU rom only because it has bloatware that most people generally don't need. Most Sense roms here are optimized for performance and updated to the most recent version of JB! And it has no non-sensical carrier apps.
Check if your phone is S3 or S4, and follow a sticky's guide on the procedure on how to root. I would suggest flashing a new kernel if you're into overclocking or regulating your phone a little bit more.
Flashing any rom will get rid of the Solavei apps and even the horrid boot screen.
