My very first rom for i9305. Im building it as a hobby. Dont expect a nightly build. I will try to release newer version as long as i have time during weekend. Please dont pm me for request. Im trying to keep the rom as clean as i can , as light as it can with all provided languages remained. Probably most of Google apps and Sammy apps were removed.
Ive removed as much bloatware as i can. Increased battery life and free more ram. The flashable zip contain only rom. No kernel , no baseband no any other files.

This rom doesnt suit you if you want a good score in benchmark apps...
Whatever it is , do a nandroid backup first before you proceed and remember to do an EFS backup provided with the Aroma installer
You need custom recovery to flash this rom. It wont work with stock rooted rom with stock recovery

ive checked the LI9 out but it doesnt have as much language as LI5 ... anyway will work that out when im free..

Didnt seem to work for me. First, the once the install said it was complete, which was VERY fast, it seems to be locked on the completed screen, I could click next, felt the phone vibrate then it just sat. After a reboot all the optus stuff reinstalled and settings still said I am running xxali5.
Just a quick question for the newbies or 1st timer flashing roms..
Do our device need to b rooted before flashing this rom or by flashing the rom will enable root for us?

Need to have CWM to flash the rom, and you will find the new ROM will be rooted already if is custom.

That was after a full wipe.
Did another wipe and installed, ran like a normal install process this time. Rebooted phone, lots of bloatware gone, yours few apps were there, optus apps were back again. Also still reporting as version 5 and not 9.
I have noticed though, althought about deviece says the baseband version is xxali5, when i look in titanium backup, I can see a few running services ending with xxali9.

I need a german version since my navigation software needs to be german. Navigon Select uses the system language and if I set a english release to german via "MoreLocale2" the system reverts back to chinese...

Now with version v3a You do not need to install applications More Locale2. Simply go to settings and change language to Deutsch its OK

A great one
It's a great rom i think. i just flash it aand no need odin anymore. and one more news i have no problem with bin count. because it's not replace the custom recvery. But it can't combine with ashutosh rom. if i'm not wrong, your rom has some tweaking? i red it in the build.prop. And i feel it in my device. now it can run 24 hours just for whatsapp and messaging.:good:

1. Does possible flashing this firmware via pc? from fastboot for example. I'ts will be verry nice for blind users wich can't to do recovery and flash via recovery with out speech.
2. Does possible enabling debuging usb mode, enable accesibility, and put all necesary files for that in update.zip? Thanks for all replies.

of course you can bro. just download root explorer, enter to system>usr>keylayout>bcm_keypad_v2.kl.
mount the system to r/w
and then look for key 442 chaton.
and then change it to key 442 cust1
save and exit.
reboot then. and voila the chaton button has ben customized key. just put your favorite app there.
Can you make a flashable zip for native in-call recording on stock dialer to be flashed & used in this ROM similar to the one available on GS3?
The hardware characters are mesed up . For example @/H is now on the letter N and normaly letter n has ' . Also the rest of the characters are messed up. I'm using English US on the hardware keyboard. I had them all right with the original 4.0.4 and with the official spanish 4.1.2 . With your rom they just shuffled .
It's not from your rom it's from the spanish 412. I'll reset to factory default to see if i can get back the normal characters ( i have now the reversed ? character from a spanish question ).
I reinstalled my original Cosmote Romania rom 404 . Everything is back to normal. Is this csc changing the hardware configuration of the keys ?

Can I change chatOn button without using this MAK-DROID?

Gapps are not included - you need to flash them separately
Instructions:
1 - Backup whatever you need using an app of your choice (optional)
2 - Reboot to recovery (4ext recommended, not tested with other recoveries)
3 - Wipe internal partitions (data, system, dalvik cache, cache)
4 - Flash the rom &/or whatever mods you wanna flash, but not GAPPS.
5 - Reboot to the rom, choose your language.
6 - Reboot to recovery again, flash gapps.
7 - Reboot & enjoy a kick ass release!

Info: Do not flash GAPPS on the same recovery session. Flash the rom and what else you want, reboot, startup the rom, reboot to recovery again and flash gapps then, otherwise, it will break your home button.

Note: I intend if everything goes right, to update the op as it's updated by miuiandroid, as it is the source of this fine rom, usually every friday / weekend.
Notes 2: : The default kernel seems to work fine! However I gave a try to Sultan's kernel and seems that I got better performance. Link here. (Thank's android1234567 )
Note 3: Some themes (the most recent) require a Xiaomi account. Just create one and add it the same way you add your Google account. Pay attention to it tho, when you're adding the account, it will ask if you want to sync your data with Xiaomi, this might send a SMS which will cost you money. Simply de-activate the option and you'll be fine.
About battery life: Like most Roms, to have an accurate reading, allow one or two full charge cycles (let it completely drain and full charge it).
Got suggestions? Recommendations? Additional info? PM me and I'll consider adding it. Or maybe I won't. We'll never know.

Well, thank you, but since I'm not at home I can't upload anything else so far. When I'm at home I'll try to add alternative mirrors to avoid goo.im while it's misbehaving.

was curious as what i would flash for the next week/2 weeks of rom use on my phone MIUI it is ^^
i've tried the download link non-goo.im before i saw this post and that one didn't work for me, the goo.im mirror did work. (slow but it downloaded)
secondly, a minor addition to your installation steps, your missing the step to actually flash the rom it goes from wipe partitions to boot to the rom
third, is the option to reboot into recovery still only under the phone information part, or is there a way to get it into the power menu? tried searching for it, but the only ones i can find are for "outdated" miui roms as stickman stopped doing miui at all. Last miui i've tried was one of the earliest v5 for the sensation so don't know if that has changed or if someone in the meantime has made a mod for it already

lol, thank's for calling my attention to the steps
There's no need to change anything to go to recovery. Just press the Power button - Reboot, and the "Recovery" option is already there (unless it's not this what you're talking about).
when transitioning from an app to the home screen by pressing the back button, does anyone else notice an animation glitch during that process??

Nop, clean and smooth animations here. Does it happen always? To every app ?
Can you try to change / reduce / disable the animations under Developer Settings - and either put all animations to 0.5x or "off" and see if it still happens?
Try to flash the animation framework mod, see if it goes away

@skadoosh, does every app have that problem? or is it just one of them? I do think i read something somewhere about glitches, just can't remember of it was miui or in another rom's thread, thought it had something to do with hardware overlays or something.. Did you do a clean wipe, so delete everything except sd-card then flash the rom+language pack, boot into rom, go through the setup, reboot and flash gapps? If so Try what midnight says, Gonna flash the rom myself tonight so if i encounter anything similar i'll let you know

I'm not sure if this statement is true, but I think that was added only on android 4.2.2, since this is based on 4.1.2 might not be the implemented. Either that or MIUI didin't adopt that "trick".

i found it strange as well, but i seriously didn't have the option to reboot into recovery when i opened the reboot menu with the powerbutton, only the reboot option and that one rebooted the phone normally, ah well... thank god people make apps for even things like rebooting
now i can't exactly remember if it was on one of the early 3.5 builds or one of the latest 3.4 ones, but i did have to get into the update part and then via the menu button choose for reboot recovery ^^ decided to install an app for rebooting then, whent a bit quicker. Also due to 4.2.2 having you to actually enable developer options and the advanced reboot i tried if i could find that as well, but at that time i simply couldn't find the option for it.
i hope 3.5.24 was stable and lagless previous version was bad on usage RAM

I have to be honest, I haven't looked at RAM usage yet, but this version (so does the previous 3.5.10 I think) have been damn smooth a lot of things changed and are a LOT better then the first releases
I'm using Kernel tuner along with "Aggressive" OOM settings and I definitely cannot complain at all. It's smooth as butter
Can someone try using apps like Screen Filter or Twilight, and tell me if they work correctly?
Also, I presume Xposed Framework won't work here?

High quality Beats audio engine installed for higher quality sound and camera app changed forever keep more quality (Videos are recorded in 480p now, before the maximum was 320p).
No BLOATWARES, Only 108 Apps Compared with before were 198 (Stock) this is more than perfect!

To avoid installation problems, I chose a safer method, Backups!
IMPORTANT !If the Zip ROM is by that name " DR-V1.zipdl1token_hashAAGqFv-ZgAV_Ef0sV4qnYCohGF51UOcZk9-oCWckTXbERw" Rename to "DR-V1.zip " If the Update 1 is by that name " 26_Update-1-DRzipdl1token_hashAAH8UF0XR119LRkMAVgfIgVkCchsQsWsIqKaYouKNz9EYg" Or something like that , rename it to " Update-1-DR.zip" How I did direct import from Dropbox for Mirrorupload , became these weird names ! Good luck guys!
1 : Download and extract the zip ROM ( DR - V1.zip ) recommend extracting the PC with 7-Zipper It is free and can be found at this Link
2 : Download the Zip the " Update 1 "
3 : Place the folder " clockworkmod " At the root of your SDcard and zip the " Update 1 " also ( Not for extracting Update 1 )
4 : Start the CWM
5 : Go to "Backup and Restore " menu and then " Restore"
6 : Select " 2014-01-31.18.07.47 "
7 : Wait ends, When finished, back to the main menu of CWM , Wipe From ( Date ) .
8 : Now install the "update 1 " in the same way you install any other zip in CWM .
9 : Restart the phone.
10 : Wait 4 ~ 5 minutes in the boot ( Dalvik )
11 : Enjoy !

it says:
rom may restore stock reco.... (screen too small)
so i click disable recov....(too small)
now it's still booting, i think i lost cwm. i will report in a minute

Thanks, would be great if you could really include Google now. But
I prefer making a flashable zip instead of having to install the rom again. Like. Without the need to wipe any data
Then that would be excellent

as for Jelly Bean rom is not stable but it does function but their to many bugs on it, gps, bt, network/ carrier, wifi, sound etc doesn't work if you... u can search for the rom e.g "CM10.1 Gt-s5301 xda".

Yes and no. The base is the same, but this rom is fully optimized, faster and stable. This rom scores 5000 more on Antutu, and this is enough proof. I have not tested xposed, but should be work with no issues. Lang: EN, RU, CH

Hi, Is the playstore still having issue? try flash gapps again, it should be fine after that.
After flashing gapps for 4.2.2 still no network in plastore.

For those having problems with Play Store, XDA member @gregorecki21 has suggested me to edit the hosts file in system/etc because it has entries from the adfree application and therefore the connection is blocked. To do it, delete everything and paste this at the first line: " 127.0.0.1 localhost". (without quotes)
You can do it directly from your phone by doing the following:
1. Download Total Commander from the Play Store
2. Install it in your Device.
3. Open Total Commander and goto Root of System. (/ )
4. Open the etc folder.
5. Find the file named "hosts", and hold it for 3 seconds. Choose edit file, and choose Total Commander Text Editor if prompted.
6. Delete everything and paste this at the first line: " 127.0.0.1 localhost". Copy it exactly, dont modify anything.
7. Save the file and overwrite if needed.
Hopefully this will work. Please report if it's working.

If you have time, please try to remix this rom, so the people can enjoy it. I have a request for you my friend! Can you remake your s118 rom without Google apps?
