Everyone recommended to recharge the battery from 5% to 100% for several cycle after flashing any rom.
Just wanna ask if I charge the battery from 50% to 100% each time, can I still have the same battery performamce after several cycle ? or I must charge the battery from 5%?
P.S . I am in cm10 alpha 2 …
Thanks for helping and sorry for my poor English

What i do after i flash a ROM is i let the battery drain up to 1% and then i let it charge (USB/PLUG IN OUTLET) to 100%.. when it hits 100%, I go to recovery and Wipe Battery Stats..

Hi xda
My battery is already at 0 percent when ive used wifi or 3g for just, or less than, 1 hour. When i got airplane mode on itll last like 7 hours which is fine.
Anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution? Is my battery.. dead?
Thanks in advance

Sarcasm will not help anything. Besides, nobody is obliged to help you.
Anyways, many users have had this problem and the solution has been discussed. I believe you must change the battery. 7hrs good for your battery in airplane mode? That's actually very bad battery life. Time for a change of battery
Cheers

Thanks for replying bscraze, +1 Thanks
Will look for a new battery then.
Did you try callibrating battery.
Also our phone gets really hot (max is 55°C for me) and battery starts to go crazy . It won't charge higher than 46% and discharges when connected to charger
Try keeping the battery in refrigerator overnight and try Using it again (this works for laptops)

Hey guys!
Just bought the SGS3 and I wonder how about the battery? Do I need to charge it for 12 hours for first three times or longer or just charge till it's fully charged? And can I leave it connected to charger for whole night in the future? Won't this harm my battery?

Leaving ur fone connected to power may AFFECT ur battery but nkt kill it. As for the 1st time use, make sure the battery is critically empty before you recharge. Empty your battery and perform a full charge frequently !
Hope you find my advice helpful

You need to read this!

When I bought my Galaxy Tab 7.7, the sales person told me to empty the battery first, and then charge it for at least 8 hours for the first time, and the person told me it is good for my tab's battery...

HY,dont worry it is not a problem with your battery ,i hav the same problem on my rom,if you are not pleased try to install a battery apk from play store.PLEASE PRESS THANKS IF I HELPED.
I also get it all the time sometimes it doesn't occur on some roms and sometimes it does. I have noticed that you should let the rom settle in a for a while and after that it should be working properly. That's in my experience. Well that is my 2 cents.

well my battery is only 6 mnth old,n i charge regularly full charge den use ..
I think, that is because android is doing a battery level check during boot...
Charge to 100%, delete battery stats, drain down untill off and charge again to 100% and see improvement?

I tried every ROM but the battery just stays @3mv
Even tried battery calibration but it was of no avail
Battery discharges in 1hr of moderate usage on Stock ROM and almost every other ROM
Is the battery damaged ?
It has almost finished a year of use

Phone charged till 100% then it again displayed 80% after an hour it displayed 99% and then after ½ an hour it finally charged to 100%

Hi, I'm bumping this one.
I have the same problem. Tried Battery Calibration but 100% shows 4mV and 5 mins later is 64% and 3mV.
Can you explain this solution in deep, please? When you say "wipe everything" you mean getting into Recovery Mode and wiping Dalvik and whatnot? I'm not sure what ICS is either.
Thanks a lot!

Well
The stock GB ROM always showed me 3mv/4mv in battery stats
Other ROMs viz. CM7/9/10 always showed me something on 3xxx/4xxx
Also try doing this
Discharge completely
(After phone auto-shutdowns keep switching it on until it refuses to boot)
*** Try only on ROMs with offline charging ***
Then charge it to 100% and use the NOBOL method by zepperlinox (No battery on logo method )

Hi,
I'm having the same problem with a (new) battery that I've used for 3 months. Even tho it shows thats charged (sometimes as much as 90%), the phone will randomly turn off. Battery Calibration app reads only 3mv for some reason. With my other battery the phone runs perfectly normal (even tho with a big discharge rate since the battery is like over 3 years old).
To perform this, do i really need to install ICS? I'm currently using GingerBlurB V5 (CM7) and I don't want to backup/restore etc
Hello ppl,
please advice if that normal battery or defective .. I use official AC charger for my new note 8, the battery is of course 4.2v but after fully chaging the battery and unplug it directly the voltage read 4v (read it by using *#0228#) .. Is this normal or should it read 4.2v .. thx 4 ur advice
Probably normal. I wouldn't worry too much
