Hi,
i love the stock android rom. Actually im using stock GRI40.
The only thing i miss, is the HSPA icon differentiation.
Is there a possibility to just change this?
Thx
yes custom ROMs
or you can theme it yourself if you know what to edit on the framework
ok, using a custom rom would solve my problem, i know
to be honnest, i just want to have this "H icon" and nothing else...
I'm not into " theming and modifying", so i thougt someone else perhaps could have done that already.

In the development section you can find a stock 2.3.3 deodexed ROM which will allow theming (you can't theme on stock ROMs because of Odex files which are removed in a DEodexed rom ). If you don't want theming you don't have to use it but you absolutely cannot get the HSPA icon on a stock rom. It has to be deodexed and themed or using a ROM that has it natively (like CM7 which btw looks like stock gingerbread and is fiercely stable).
Hi,
I'm a new member and owner of an Android device. I've tried many different ROMs, and have found the GR-11 ROM to be the one I like the most because it feels close to Stock.
My problem that I'm desperately hoping to find a solution for is that the Stock ROM had Samsung Widgets like "Feeds and Updates" where you could easily see Facebook News Feed and post easily. I really loved that widget.
I'm using the GR-11 ROM and it states about using TouchWiz 4. I thought the Samsung Widgets were part of the TouchWiz interface, but the widget I'm desperately wanting is not there.
I found one link that someone posted of a .zip file with the widgets, but I'm unable to install it and unable to install the specific .apk for the widget I'm wanting.
I really don't know if this is even possible as I'm just trying to learn, but this widget is one of the ones I am badly wanting to have and would love to have any information on how to possibly be able to use it.
Thanks.
Hey!
Idk if this is what you were looking for, but under Android Widgets -> FaceBook. It should pull up a widget similar to that but its only for FaceBook
I havent tried it myself but I believe tweetdeck will do the same thing. Give it a try, never know

Is it possible that the apk you are looking for is in a zip for CWM 2.5, and not CWM 3.0 if that'd the case just unzip on your desk top and copy to your sd card then just install the apk in to the sys/app folder with root explorer or another root file manager. Give that a try.

I have seen many posts asking for things from the original oneclick that are taken out of ROMs, tomorrow I will pull EVERYTHING from the stock rom and put it up as an individual download for people who need stock apps/widgets/sounds/wallpapers

awesome.
sound good.
waiting ...
Go to this thread and download the stock Rom.
Extract the files from the zip.
You can then "borrow" whatever files you need.
Note: the above rom is deodexed. I am not 100% sure that all of the files will work. Check and see if you are on odexed rom.

Hi guys,
I saw that in the cm9/10 roms the fonts are more little and thinner then in the stock rom.
can I change the fonts like in the stock rom?
Yes you can, but you need root access to do it manually, but I don't know if there is an app to do it without root.
Do some search and you'll find some answers, I'm a little bit lazy now to do it for you

Hi, this is my first time posting a thread so I'm sorry if I put it in the wrong place.
My question is about live wallpaper support, I recently flashed a CyanogenMod 10 ROM to my Galaxy 5 GT-I5500 device. It works well however to keep the size of the rom small enough to fit on the device the developer removed live wallpapers. I would like to add live wallpaper support back into the rom myself. I have tried adding livewallpaperpicker.apk into the system apps folder with no joy. It copied in but did nothing after reboot. I was wondering if anyone has a flashable .zip file or something that I can use in Clockworkmod? Any help with this issue would be appriciated.
This will surely kill your device
As you know the RAM of CM10 is low and a live wallpaper uses so much RAM that you will expirience random reboots
Not a good idea.
Ypu could only extract a CM7 ROM and install the live wallpaper chooser.apk
