Issues:
After rooting (for those novice like me, the links I used for rooting are at the bottom),
did not get full Google Market.
Resolved Steps:
1. Titanium - for cleaning up the files
2. AndRootFile - for assigning permissions
3. Z4Root - mainly for rooting.
4. tntllite2.0.0.zip
5.android_winusb.zip
Here are the links I used:

[Q] Galaxy tab eBook app

Hi All,
I just bought Galaxy tab and I am loving tab eBook app, not just because of animations but because of few important features like dictionary which is not available in Readers Hub Kobo.
One quick question- How can I purchase and import books in Tab ebook App. There is no download/buy button.
I have downloaded few books in kobo but I would like to open them in Tab's eBook app. Please help how can I do that.
You can't, those are 2 differents apps. And could you be so kind to post the apk of the ebook reader? I lost mine while upgrading my firmare. And I really loved the old book theme
Should be in /system/app/Ebooks.apk
Thanks again, kind sir

Just use Calibre for your ebook needs... It can't get them for you, but it can organize it for you and convert from almost any format to almost any format.... Also it can download cover and meta data...
You just have to download a book, import it, ( edit meta data), convert it, send it to the device, and read.

Sorry, Could you guide me bit more. When I click download Epub from website, i got URLLink.acsm file which I can open in Adobe digital edition. I am not able to convert in to tab supported epub using Calibre.
If I remember it well (I currently haven't the ebook reader installed - looking for a deodexed version) you can import ebooks very easy by creating a folder on your sdcard called Digital Editions and place your epub books in there. Maybe you have to reboot before they show up.
(Could be that you first have to sign up for the online store)
Guys could you please just guide me how can i download epub format book.

Just download the acsm file, open it with Adobe digital editions. Go to My Documents/My Digital Editions and there you have your epub files.
(Hope you didn't found that out yourself while I'm writing this)

I always remove the drm protection from the eBooks I buy. Just to prevent this kind of problems. I use this method: http://www.dvdvideosoftware.org/guide/remove-drm-from-adobe-epub.html
Maybe there are some better ways nowadays. Just search for it.
BTW isn't it possible to set your adobe id in the eBook app?

I can not see /system folder. I am using inbuilt files application.
Which format are ebooks that have animation when flipping pages?
Sent from my GT-P1000M using XDA App
To get it back you have to change the product code back to something like CPW. This worked for me.
The code was something like *#232*IMEI#. Check the forum if thats not the one.
After that factory reset (you will loose everything!), youll be good to go
Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
The flipping pages animation isn't part of the ebook format (although most ebooks are ePub format) that's just something the ebook reader does or doesn't do. Laputa does it but when you flip backwards it's the same animation. The Nook software is the best for the US for accurate animation.

You'll need to use something like ASTRO File Manager
I have an additional question. Does anyone know where/how the ebook app stores it's book index? I would like to be able to sync the book and index between my Note and Tab.
why my ebook not working?
Wow i just realize that calibre is already developed for android

Soonr Scribble is out

Don't know about you guys and gals, but seeing the demonstration of Soonr Scribble on the Note kind of sealed my decision to get the phone. Well, it finally came out recently, and is available on the market for free: https://market.android.com/details?...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zb29ucnNjcmliYmxlIl0.
This is the video I saw long before the phone came out:
And here's a newer video:
Yes its available free for now and is working well.
It's a promising app for business users!!
Hello all,
Can someone provide the apk please ?
Thanks.
This app is incompatible with all of your devices.

I'm finding it very laggy, which is quite disappointing
This is the most important productivity apps for galaxy note! But I don't understand why all of document in whatever format always be transformed into pdf files after being scribbled?
This is makes soonr scribble almost useless. Because when we are editing docx files, we want the scribbled thing being transformed into image just inside the docx file, and not the whole file being transformed into pdf file!
I want to compare it with polaris office for htc flyer and htc jetstream. When I am scribbling in the docx files with that apps, all of my scribbled automatically transformed into image within docx files.
I hope soonr understand these problems and give the same format as the source file for the scribbled file.
Thank you very much.

Convert PDF to APK?

I am trying to convert a PDF to a APK. Out MDM solution can only push down APK apps to Android phones, and there is a PDF file we would like Android users to be able to reference.
Tried searching Google for "convert PDF to APK", but it hasn't been much help. Just a bunch of regular document converters.
Thanks for your help!

Its really not possible, you could make a app that can read and display the PDF or get your users to download a PDF viewer.
But there is no 'converter' the two formats have nothing to do with each other
Ya, that's basically what I need. An app that will display a PDF file.

Ok, well if you want someone to do this for you, Maybe we can talk in PM.
Or for some simple starting point have a look at this http://sourceforge.net/projects/andpdf/
Thanks for your assistance! Let me look a little bit more into creating an app.
I'll be in communication with you if I get stuck.

Buddy, check your PM.
This thread is pretty old but thought I'd alert you to the following...
Bookbake
IDR Solutions
Inam looking for a simple pc program that will create a standalone slideshow that can run on all/most Android devices.
upload jpgs > sort > push button > android apk (with my own personal extension)
Simple slideshow that can be swiped thru, back and forth. Not flicked like a book. If flicked like a book, with no page animations.
Thanks

The easiest would be to create an app that has a web view that points to your site. This would be the same as navigating to the site from a browser except you would have a icon in the app drawer.

Take a look at the link below. This is assuming you know how to create a basic Android app.

You can also use one of those websites that create a mobile app around a website. You might want to try those, for example:

I've bookmarked 2 links. But, I'm not allowed to share the links as I'm new here.
But, lemme help you out.
Google these two titles:
"Best Places to Turn Your Website Into an App for Android and iPhone" - All in one option
"Convert Your Website into iPhone and Android Mobile Apps Space-O" - Customized option
The first one is an article by Matt Mansfield and the second is a service page by Space-O Technologies.
Check which one suits your requirements.
