Anyone got their Infuse 4G yet?

I will be getting mine in a few hours. Any first impressions? Is it worth the wait? How do you feel about the phone? Does the netflix app work?

Well my local store doesn't open until 11am but they only have 7units so I will be there early inorder to make sure I get one. So another hour and 10 mins I should have mine.

GPS is is perfect and it locked in 4 seconds and its very stable. The phone itself is very vet nice, love the screen and feels like bigger samsung vibrant, I used the camera and its realty good very sharp and the videos are very high quality.

Got one today, not impressed really.I'm going to unroot it and take it back and order an sgs2 from clove.
No dev work on it yet, don't know why when there is already a thread for the htc sensation which has no release date yet.

I'm using a captivate with Speed N Style ROM Purplicious. Infuse looks mostly similar minus the processor and 1080p. Development may follow heavily, and pretty quickly, due to the similarities to i9000.

What did you guys pay for yours? Where's the best price off contract you've seen?

loving mine. 4.5 inch screen is great. especially when dash mounted. extremely snappy. can't wait for the ROMs, touchwiz 4 is better than 3.
Like a lot of others, i was torn about getting the infuse or waiting for AT&T's version of the SGS2. it sounds great and all, but who knows when that's coming out. Even when it does, i don't know if the dual core will be a huge difference, plus i think i would rather have the infuse's larger screen.

worst case, you wait a few months, love the SG2, and then just sell the Infuse.
at least that's my plan.

I've been doing the buy/sell/trade with phones since the Iphone 4 came out. I got my Infuse yesterday, and I can honestly say it is more than a phone. Its the first phone I have not been able to use comfortably with 1 hand. The delayed dedicated forum and GS2 will prolly kill this phone. I don't think the dualcore will really matter, but I think the smaller screen of the SG2 will make it more comfortable to use. Until then, I will use the Infuse that I got, as it is by far the best At&t device to date.

The only thing that was bugging me about the huge screen that I think is impossible to do with one hand is pull down the notifications tab. Installed LauncherPro, used the home button to pull down notifications problem solved. I'm loving the extra real estate and especially when it comes to typing.

i really like the note with its 1.4 dual core and all that but you gotta think its really unconfortable when you have you hold it by your face for more then 10 mins while talking,. the infuse is big enough . i played it before i got the infuse . get a tablrt its bigger, im not hating on anyone lol

I have a 10.1" tablet. I have GrooveIP on it.
Using wifi to make phone calls...lol..if you think a 5.3 is big, imagine a 10" android by the ears.

wow. Its hard to not retract my kind words. Good luck with the note. I went in to get that actually but I just can't go any bigger than the infuse or skyrocket. This device is actually really unbelievable.

I don't know about calling them retards, as that's a touchy word. However, ignorant and misguided, yes.
This phone is truly the future. It has so many capabilities. The S Pen may be seen as gimicky by some people, but I feel that they are just jealous or uninformed that it is more than a stylus. The big beautiful screen may seem unnecessary to some, but I guarantee that if they actually used it for a while, they would see that there are endless benefits to it. Unless you wear girl jeans or some serious nuthuggers, the Note is definitely pocketable. And if you're wearing those types of jeans, you should also be carrying a purse, which makes pocketability a non-issue. Also, using a device one handed is nice, but is it really necessary? When is a time that you should REALLY be using your phone where you can't use two hands? If your hands are full, I'm sure you can either set the stuff down to answer a call, otherwise I'm sure that text or email can wait.
People complaining about the pentile display are just stupid. Yes, on lower resolution devices, it was annoying. I could clearly see the pixels on my Cappy, but I dealt with it because it really isn't that bad. However, on the Note, the resolution is so good that from a normal using distance, you really can't see the pixels. Anybody who thinks this statement is ridiculous, go play with the thing and see for yourself before bashing pentile.
Also, for those who are self-conscious about holding the Note up to their head for a call...really? People are more likely gawking at how awesome of a phone you have, and curious as to what it is, not judging you for using such a large device. And since when does what a stranger thinks about you matter so much to people? You're likely to never talk to them, and I'm sure if you did, the Note would be a great conversation starter, rather than a point for them to criticize you on.

Front Facing Camera

Everyone was complaining that the iphone has a purple hue when the camera is pointed at bright lights. Well I just found out that the front facing camera on the galaxy s3 has the same problem. Has anyone noticed this before? I know why it happens but this is the first time I noticed it and I couldn't find anyone talking about it. I'm just happy we don't have this problem on the back camera.

I've never seen it.

I tried recreating the issue. It's not nearly as strong as yours, but it's there. I would guess that most users would find that under the right lighting conditions. It's something I wouldn't have even noticed had you not mentioned it. I don't often sit in front of a light source when using the FFC though.

I'm thinking that there are two reasons why its so strong. One reason is I replaced the light bulbs a few days ago with "twice as bright" bulbs. The second possibility might be the fact I have other light sources in the room. Could have been a perfect storm of them mixed.

All cameras will do that to some extent, though I wasn't able to get my GS3 to recreate anything close to what is in your screenshot.

I tried to make it happen on the back camera but I got zero purple.

Watching the live feed right now, and i'm impressed. My S3 can gladly be sold and i'll buy the S4

I really feel like its only necessary to upgrade with every other model. The gs3 is still going strong IMO but to each his own.

I'm liking alot of the features - but many seem software side and I'm sure the devs would be able to port it over pretty easy....

theyll be a s4 rom for s3 most likely.

I saw nothing that great over my S3, nothing worth an early upgrade anyway.
TouchWiz still looks the same which is disappointing.

I dont run touchwiz ROMS so upgrading seems pointless to me.

Keeping S3. Just want the software upgrades.

Only complaint i have cosmetically is those ugly black dots at the top of the phone minus the front camera. The two on the s3 don't bother me but more? I know there censors or something but I think they could have done a better job and making them not so visible. Just my 2 cents. I'll still upgrade, cause I've gotta have the latest and greatest!

S4 is not worth the upradeI would like to see if I can put the battery in the s3 though

Although it seems like a great device, I don't see that "wow" factor over the s3. I have like 5 upgrades that I could use and it still doesn't seem worth it. The software will eventually make its way over here. My hardware never seems underpowered and my battery life is great so my real world upgrade would be for a nicer screen.

I would go for a Sony phone, go check it out on their website. I know of a phone that has the "Ultra Zoom" feature, which can process 50MP photos. I forgot what was that phone and you'll have to find out for yourself. Or u could wait for the S5 to come out. The S5's camera has loads of features for different shooting conditions.
P.S. Rumors claim that the S5 would be cheaper than the S4. (Emphasis on rumor.)

I would say this guy is right.
Sony always had good quality camera's, not only on their smartphones but the compact camera's too.
My opinion on the lumia's is that the 41MP is fun to have, but after all you wana look at the lens.
Since MegaPixels only will tell you how much pixels there are in one photo.
You can just zoom in a lot on these Nokia photographs you took.
Since Sony can process 50MP photo's, the Nokia loses on this too.
And another thing, Nokia is no opinion for you since you want an Android.:laugh:

My opinion is that these phones are quite ugly with those big backsides. But that's just what I think about these 'zoom' series.
Plus it's still a rumour, he probably wants to buy a new phone as soon as possible.

They're also a nightmare to protect with a decent case.. Imagine sticking one of those in an Otterbox Defender... It would make my DSLR look small! :laugh:

agree with you two..

The best cameraphone right now is the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, it has a 20.7 Megapixel rear camera, which is pretty high for today's standards. Most high end phones only have 13MP or so.

It should be the s5 or the xperia z2 camera.

IMO, you should look for OIS if you are looking for a good camera phone
