[Q] Q: How to install CyanogenMod on a MID7015 - General Questions and Answers

I've been reading this "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101094&page=183" post for a long time where they public a CyanogenMod that can be installed on certain models of tablets. I realize that there are two kinds of Coby Kyros MID 7015, One that comes with GB and other that don't.
I have the non-GB tablet, allready rooted and using a watery rom but i think that CyanogenMod will work a better, so...
In that forum they said that there's a rom for the non-GB tablet, but i was unable to find it. I would like if anyone could help me telling me where's the file or where to search.
If there's any procedure besides to install CWM on a rooted table, so please let me know.
Thanks for answering.

Coby 7015 Rom?? Anywhere??

Sorry if there is a post like this somewhere, but I have searched everywhere. I have already rooted my Coby 7015 now I just need a rom to use because the factory rom freezes and is kinda slow. I'm not a complete noob, but I also don't want to brick my tablet trying to install a rom that isn't intended for my tablet.
Please advise of a rom I can install. Thanks in advance.

This may be a late reply, but for future reference (hello people from the future!) you can load a version of CyanogenMod 6 on the Coby MID7015. See here:

is this worth going to? Does it improve much?

Compared to stock out-of-the box Coby tablet? Yes. But compared to a rooted w/ market stock ROM, not really.
I love CyanogenMod, and I've been running it on my Droid for quite some time now. But the CyanogenMod ROM for the Coby tablet doesn't really improve much, and it actually hurts functionality in a few areas. I believe it is slightly faster than the stock ROM, and you gain a few custom features, but you pretty much lose all video playback including Youtube.
I'd recommend just rooting it and adding the market as explained in the "Getting the most out of Eclair" thread.
Need Help with Coby 7015a
Can somebody help me ! I have the Coby 7015a model. I downloaded the update from Coby and I don't know if it was the old update or the new update ! I completed all the directions from newbie friendly guide for rooting and google market install on windows. I got to the part where the "su" is entered and the $ is suppose to change to #. Didn't happen ! I get the message about superuser, but the symbol is still $. If I type in the flash_image info, it comes back with flash_image: permission denied. I very frustrated and this is my first exprience with one of these so I am definitly a "newbie" ! My sister bought this for my 90 year old mom who loves to read but is starting to have trouble seeing. She can read with this but I haven't be able to download any books ! Any advice will be greatly appreciated !
What it boils down to is that Coby made it slightly more difficult to root this latest version. Your best bet is probably to go over to the Androidtablets.net forum and read through the sticky posts at the top of the Coby forum. Especially the post titled "New update.zip from Coby (build MID7015A 1.6a 1/26/11)". It should have all the details for you.

[Q] Motorola Xoom Wifi MZ604 Australian Model Custom Rom

Firstly I apologise if this question has been posted and answered before, I can't locate it on these forums.
I have an Australian release Motorola Xoom Wifi MZ604 with a stock ROM version 4.0.4 which has started running slowly and I want to update it to the latest Android. This is my first crack at messing around with Android operating systems, but I have plenty of experience with Windows. I found many tutorials on this forum about rooting and installing custom roms but most of these posts are from around 2012 and most of the important file links such as Xoom One Click and Xoom Universal Root no longer exist. If anyone is still using Xoom can you please repost the tools required and let me know which Custom ROM works best so I dont have to reinvent the wheel. Any step by step you can point me in the direction of would also be helpful. Thanks :good:
After a lot of XDA and Google searching I got the files and info needed and now have a Motorola Xoom MZ604 Wifi running KitKat 4.4.4. The folloiwing XDA sites were of assisstance http://forum.xda-developers.com/newreply.php?do=postreply&t=1477024 & http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2580256

Custom ROM for Nextbook NX007HD8G ?

Hi everyone
I got this nice tablet Efun Nextbook NX007HD8G that has Android 4.1.1 and I wanted to install a custom rom for it but I can't find anything here about this tablet, I have seen a very few threads about it and nothing about installing a custom rom into it.
I'm very beginner in these stuff so if you y'all can help me install a custom rom then I would really appreciate it.
I have this tablet (just got it yesterday. Have you had any feedback yet that hasn't been posted to this thread about the files you provided and the rooting process on this tablet? I'm hesitant to be the first one to try it. Is there a way to test this out prior to actually going through with it? Thank you.

Hey! sadly I'm still looking and still can't find any way to install a custom rom, I don't want to try anything so I won't break my tablet.
As for rooting, well I tried 360 Perm root which works on Samsung Galaxy J1 (2015) but it didn't work on this tablet however I found this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2564609
And I'm not sure if it works 100% or not because I haven' tried it yet.
