I noticed today that when screen is locked with slide security you can still pull down status bar and unlock phone as well you can hit the menu button to unlock phone. If I put to face or pattern these options go away. Is there a way to lock status bar when in lockscreen? And more so lock menu button in lock screen so the phone doesn't open in my procket? I'm running Baked Bean ROM. Don't think its a ROM issue but correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance.

I have HTC Sense disabled on my Today screen so it looks like a basic today screen. When I lock the phone, it shows the sliding unlock icon. When I slide to unlock I need to enter my PIN to use the phone (forced due to work email security). Sometimes when I turn the phone back on after the screen has turned off due to inactivity, the screen is blank (the sliding unlock icon isn't visible). The only things I can see are the top row (clock, speaker icon, signal/data icon, battery remaining icon, QuickMenu icon, and Start button). None of the items in the top row respond except for QuickMenu, but nothing in there functions since it is still locked. I end up having to soft reset the phone. I am using the most current stock ROM WM6.5.
Anyone seen such a problem or know how to fix it? Is there a program like QuickMenu that has an "unlock" link in the menus? I wonder if that could be a workaround. Thanks.
Is there a way to bypass the swipe up lock screen after initially turning the screen on and going directly to the pattern lock screen? Annoying to have to unlock twice. Automatically did this when enabling pattern lock on my previous phone.
Any apps for this?

if you disable the sense lock screen you will have my problem... where there is still a 'slide to unlock' screen to which you cannot get rid of either... you can try a program 'antilock' and set it to skip the lock screen... but it kind of swipes the screen for you and you still see the screen then it dissappears

As above there isn't much you can do about it with the stock sense rom. Sense just isn't designed that way. Rejoicing the sense lock screen replaces it with the aosp one and also breaks the alarm clock.
On the other hand Cyanogenmod lets you disable the lock screen when pattern lock is enabled and many other lock screen customizations. If you aren't into rooting your phone its not really an answer though.

I too would like to remove lock screen so it can go straight to lock pattern. if you remove htclockscreen.apk you cant see who is calling you until you unlock screen. I think I read somewhere its because there no aosp roms out there for the sensation yet.

Look in the edit build promp thread in dev section set the associated press menu to unlock string to true ans reboot.. Then just press the menu button which will rid the slide to unlock page almost instantly thereby allowing for faster access... I find it the best work around for now

Hey guys I've been having aproblem with lockscreens lately, and was hoping someone would be able to help me out.
First off, using custom lockscreens are easily bypassed by pressing the home key. This is frustrating as.. well, it doesn't have any security.
Second, the stock lockscreen is bypassed by expanding the status bar and entering settings menu..
Anyway to fix this?
I know I can use a custom lockscreen that hides the status bar, but it'll probably get bypassed with the home key again..

the stock one only gets bypassed by notification bar IF you are using the slide option, when using pin or pattern, notification bar does not work (at least on my xperia E, single sim too)

i just got my opo few days bak. the custom lockscreen is great but when i enable pin lock or pattern lock it skips the custom lock screen and directly shows the pin screen. is there any way of getting the swipe screen before the pin is requested?
Im running Stock rom CM 11 XNPH44S rooted and unlocked.
tried gravity box (xposed) lockscreen tweak to have slider before the pin no success.

I've just updated to CM 13 and realized that my phone could be unlocked without any lock screen displaying. Previously, I had a pattern set for my OPO so I was surprised the OTA update removed it. Undeterred, I tried every type of lock option to no avail. It saves the pattern, PIN or password as it requests for it whenever I return to the options screen. However, pressing the power button or double tapping the status bar only blanks out the screen. Pressing the power button or double tapping the screen immediately unlocks my phone, thus bypassing any unlock mode that I've set. Any ideas or anyone facing this strange issue?
Am I the only one facing this problem?

Pull down the status bar until you see the quick toggles then do this:
1. "Edit tiles"
2. + (on the top right)
3. add the "Lock screen" tile
It should be grey now (inactive). Tap on it to enable the lockscreen again.
This tile disables the lockscreen, regardless of your security setting.
If this method does not help, I guess your only help will be a factory reset.

Great! Now the lock screen works as expected. Strange that the lock screen tile is auto selected after an OTA upgrade and no indication in the settings as well (until I toggled the tile off and back on again).
Offtopic: Gesture typing on android keyboard is not working anymore.

Can't tell you much as I use CM13 and won't switch to COS13.
Check the keyboard settings, there should be an option for gesture typing.

Yup, first thing I did was to head there and toggle gesture typing. No luck there and no idea how it got broken as it stopped working after the OTA update.
