Anyone else not able to turn on bluetooth after OTA?

Yeah, no problem here. Had a connection to my PS3 SixAxis controller today...

Any idea why mine wont turn on? Or how I could possibly fix it?

A lot of people are reporting all sorts of idiosyncrasies after updating to JB that seem to get fixed if you perform a factory reset. If you're like me, however, with literally a ton of apps installed, this can be a PITA for you.
Do you have any BT apps as well? See if any of those may be interfering by uninstalling them

No BT apps. Already did a factory reset. Hmmm

Since you're already factory reset, might as well downgrade to 9.4.5.30 and root (if you want to be rooted) or else do a clean install of 10.4.4.16 (if you don't want to be rooted).
Just flash Scott's stock ROM and it's fixed, but thank you all for your input.

i just updated to 4.1.1 and restored root with OTA rootkeeper (which worked) and my music app, nor poweramp are working.
The music app never worked for me even on stock rooted.
Anyone else having these issues?
Is there a way to factory reset to default stock, not rooted?

If that doesn't work is there a way to complete set back to stock? Like sbf with moto or Odin with Samsung?

I updated my tf300 to JB and i used OTA Root keeper etc. And now my tablet keeps rebooting after 1 min i cant turn it off because that takes longer than 1 min! Can someone help me please?
I also tried restore on the settings menu and it takes also longer than 1 min.
Help please!
Can someone please help me?
Never mind i fixed it.
I did data swipe.
I almost got an hearth attack
And i think i have still root on my tablet.
I installed titanium backup and it didnt gave me an error this means i still got root right?

You may have lost part of it. Test with root checker.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
Checked it with a root app checker and it said that my tablet fully rooted.

The reboot was probably due to a root app not optimized for the new kernel. For example I found that ezoverclock causes boot loops, obviously it was created with previous kernel version in mind. So if you had ezoverclock don't reinstall until it gets updated.

If a basic overclocker like ez was causing this, you might want to avoid them for now, just an opinion.

Ok i tried an other one that is compaitable but you cant overclock to 1.5 it can only be 1.3.

I might be losing my mind, but I can't figure out what happened to the option in settings to check for an update. Can anyone confirm that they have it?

Oi, thanks for the reply. I figured it out. I froze DMClient and it just dawned on me what I had done. I got it back now.

Hi there! I have a stock TF300. I have had it since Feb. Lately its been running really slow and sluggish. I have tried turning it off when not using it and whatnot. Its to the point where I don't even want to use it because I can get things done faster on my phone.
I have rooted and rommed phones in the past, a Samsung gtab7, and a kindle fire.
My tablet literally has maybe 12 games for my 4 year old and maybe 10 apps that I have put on it. Pretty sad.
Is rooting the asus tf300 just as easy? I know that would help my situation, it sucks that we have to hack our devices just to get them to run the way we want.
I have read through some of the guides. Some seem pretty simple... I guess its just a matter of me doing it.
Thanks for the advice.

yes rooting is very easy, just use motochopper
Rooting is suuuuper easy. If you decide to put a custom recovery on it and ROM it, make sure you know exactly what your doing, which files and recoveries are correct, etc.

we need more info to help mate are you on stock? rooted? how many apps you got installed (just a rough number lol), if your on stock what version and if your using a custom rom which one?, then we will be able to make your tab fly
Its stock android 4.2.1 with 76 apps include asus apps and aps pre installed.
And not rooted.

Well rooting and getting rid of or freezing the bloatware would help mate but if your not bothered about your warrenty then custom Roms are the best way to really make this a great tablet

Ah thank you but i dont want to custom rom now about a year ithink.

you can use motochopper to get root access the use titanum backup to freeze all the bloat ware and then use things like greenify and rebooter apps to free up ram and thats helps me out a hell of a lot mate
Wrong post.
