[Q] Hi all I'm new here +question - HTC Sensation

Hi all,
My name is Naor and I'm new here.
I was in xperia x10 forums in the past.
I got now HTC sensation and it has broken screen, my electronic cigarette fell on it and it broke up lol .
In israel, i didn't find any store has it on stock for repair so I have decided to order it myself.
Any 1 know what kind of screen it is and where can i order it properly?
Another problem:
My battery runs out in 3 hours of everage use. should I get bigger mAh battery?
Thanks.

1. You can order a new digitizer from ebay/amazon.
2. Maybe something is wrong with your battery...i recommend to get an evo 3d stock battery(it fits perfectly in sensation).

Hi you can order the new screen online and on you tube they have a great installation video that takes you step by step for replacing it! Also about your battery, mine was exactly like yours with terrible battery drain. I finally found a solution . I bought a mugen 3800 battery. Now with heavy use I get two days out of my battery! No more worry. But if you're not a heavy user and just a moderate user then I recommend Anker battery. Both mugen and Anker are extended batteries. If you are heavy user like me you can't beat the mugen 3800mah battery. This big boy will last you two days without charge!
But if you use your device moderately then do try Anker! You can get Anker online off amazon.com for around ten dollars. The mugen should be purchased off the mugen site and it runs 95. Dollars.expensive but worth it if you use heavily.you won't be disappointed with either battery. I Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Thanks very much for the info!
The Mugen sounds so good but it's too expensive for me =\, its like x10 expensive, so I rather buy 2 or 3 of the Anker and carry it with me.
How long the Anker lasts? How many mAh is it?
Thanks very much again!

anker has 1900mAh.how it lasts it is only depends of the usage you are doing

I see man,
Thank you very much!

Anker won't disappoint it's a good battery. I just needed a bit more juice because of my heavy use . I used Anker for months ! It will make a good difference. You will see.! Worth buying for sure!

I will for sure

When you search for a new digitizer you might want to keep in mind that including the model might make a difference when searching for digitizers, there are several variations that have different sizes, and you will need to find the right one for your phone, eBay where I go look for things like this
Also, with larger batteries you might also want to be aware that your phone will produce more heat, and that this may reduce the lifetime of your phone if you allow it to become too hot

Oh, Thanks alot for the info.
I will look carefully.
about the battery and phone lifetime.
why is that? if the battery is bigger it only lasts longer, and not giving stronger output, right?
also, charging the phone often worms it up too, so it's kinda the same effect isnt it?

[Q]What's the best way to calibrate you're battery??

Im asking you guys whats the best way to calibrate you're battery cuss I bought a new battery and it still dies fast plus when I restart my phone the battery will be a different percent every time I can't stand it anymore
I tryed wiping battery status still nothing I also tryed a battery calibrate app still nothing
What's else can I do?
Hi, I just bought a mugen3500mah battery and mugen says charge it to 100% then run it way down but they say not to zero because the battery can go into a deep sleep mode and might not recover, they say after its ran way down put it on charge for 12 hours even if it says 100% and repeat this process 4-5 times and the battery is then calibrated. This is what mugen Advised. Hope this helps. Best wishes

Hi oh yes this battery is absolutely amazing! I just can't believe the battery life I get out of it! Two hours heavy use and still at 100%! 19 hours heavy use and still at 42%! If I would have known how great this battery is I would have got it a lot sooner! Before I got the mugen 3500mah I was using Anker . It was better than stock but I still did not have the battery life I wanted. Let me be honest with you. It all depends on the type of battery you get. Yes of course calibration gives you the maximum efficiency of the battery however if the battery is not a very good battery , even with calibration , you won't see the longevity your looking for. I had to save up to get this mugen because I'm not a rich person and 100 dollars is a lot to spend on a battery, but honestly it was worth every penny. I've had no trouble with the replacement back interfering with signal. I still get 4g as strong as ever, I get WiFi ,perfectly , my navigation works perfectly too .if you really want some good long battery life and its important to you, I suggest you get a mugen3500mah. Make sure it's the 3500 because I've tried the mugen 1900 because it was cheaper and still didn't get the battery life I wanted until I went with the 3500 mugen. It solved my battery issues completely! I can finally say I'm happy with my battery! So I highly recommend this battery. It takes about two weeks to arrive. But do only order it from mugen because of All the counterfeit batteries going around on other sites. They just put a sticker over the real battery making you think you purchased a extended life battery. I really hope this helps you. I know it solved my battery issues. Best wishes to you!

If you feel like you need more juice do give the mugen 3500mah a try, you will LOVE it! It's perfect for me because I'm a heavy user. If your not a heavy user, no need to go that big it just depends on your needs. Best wishes

deleting battery stats wont help you in the slightest.
Search google for "battery stats android myth" to find out what I'm talking about.

Man I'm sure it would last much longer but I've seen that battery + cover and it's monstrous. The cell is thick like a brick!

Naaaaw not a brick, but it is thicker. But to be honest I'm used to it already. Still fits in the pocket and feels good in the hand. It doesn't look too bad but really battery life is what I'm after and its not a beauty contest so the thicker phone doesn't bother me a bit. I no longer worry about battery life and my problems are solved so I'd say it's worth it! If your a heavy user like I am it's a God send! It is the solution to battery issues .

Terrible Battery drain. Help?

Hello,
I'm getting very terrible battery drain. It is fine when on standby. Ranges from about -3ma to about -20ma. But when in use it does sometimes like -500ma. I've just wiped battery stats and did a full discharge and recharge up to 100% without touching it. I'm using an Anker 1900mah battery. Kernel: Brick v1.4 Rom: Elegancia Sense 4 Hboot: 11.2

You can purchase a new extended battery.it SOLVED my problem with battery drain! Just make sure you get your battery from a reputable dealer. Too many counterfeits out their. I personally bought a mugen 3600 with new better signal back. Back includes antennas for good signal. I got mine from mugen, I can now use my battery ALL day and night without issue! I had tried EVERYTHING in the past to stop my battery drain, not much joy UNTIL, I got my new battery! I tried different kernels, settings , applications, but still had a issue UNTIL I finally replaced my battery! Now my problems are gone! The mugen is expensive but with this battery its really worth it! If you can't afford mugen try Anker. It's a whole lot less and still gives extended battery. It won't last as long as the mugen 3600mah but it sure will help with extended battery life!
The drain was my main issue!! After I changed batteries it was SOLVED! Don't buy off eBay , you can buy Anker off amazon, or mugen from mugen site. If you try all tips and tricks and still have your issue like I did. Changing batteries is the way to go. I can not stress enough how much it helped me! My battery drain was extensive! But now I'm using my device HEAVILY and can go well into my 20th hour with about 40% left at the end of 20 hours. That's a huge and significant difference for me. Before I could barely go three hours before charge! It's changed everything for the better for me! You really might consider investing in one for yourself! I don't regret it for a second! I really think it will help solve your issues. Once you get your settings correct, try all the power saving tricks. If still no joy, get one of these batteries! It will change everything for you! Especially the big boy, the mugen 3600! You won't worry about battery life again! And you won't regret your purchase! It will not disappoint! Best wishes to you and I really hope you consider my advice. I do really think it will help. I know it SOLVED my battery issue. Good luck! Remember to purchase from a reputable dealer to prevent counterfeit! If not the mugen, try the Anker. It will help. However if you can I highly recommend the mugen 3600 !its truly been amazing battery! They improved the back so no need to worry about signal! It's strong as ever with there new back. It does make your phone a bit thicker but for this battery life I'll take a thicker phone any day! You won't be disappointed!

Hey,
Thanks for the reply. But I bought the Anker from the seller on Ebay. That Anker have on their site. Plus I'm not willing to spend 100 dollars on a Mugen battery. It may make a difference but it makes the phone a lot thicker.
Thanks,
Lachy

Hi, I too get massive battery drain recently! I bought an Anker battery same as you from Amazon and contacted the seller, they are sending me a replacement so I will post back in this thread when I get it and do a few drains on it. I have had bad drain on CM10, AOKP M6, ViperS and CM9.
I'be been using Anker for more than a year and never had any problems with it. Imo there's a problem with yours, so yeah replacing it with new one should help, because Anker is a reaaalllyy nice battery

Had same problem, extensive battery drain for no visible reason whatsoever then i found a post on android central about Sensation and EVO 3D/4G having battery problem while switched to automatic network mode, both 2G and 3G, setting it manualy up to 3G only solved this issue for me, now Anker 1900 lasts about 2 and half day on standby. This did the job by me, so no guarantee that it will work by you, but its worth a try imho. Good luck
Alright.
Hey, thanks for the replies, what do I say If I want a replacement? I've gotten one before but only cause it was completely dead and not working/charging at all. So what do I say this time?
Thanks,
Lachy
Have you tried changing kernels? Or slightly under volting? It could help.

I basically said it was giving me false readings and it was impossible to know how much battery I had. I also said I used a bus app which used mobile tickets and before my battery lasted all day but now I have to turn it off to make sure I have enough battery to show my ticket. All of that is true btw, the seller I emailed on Amazon were pretty helpful, hope you have similar luck.

Alright. Will do. So if I say something like this. They should send me a replacement?
Hey,
I've recently been having a few problems with my anker battery, it's been losing a lot of charge while doing nothing. Just being on standby. It is also using a lot of charge while not even using it much. Most of the time it is only on about 45 percent by the end of the day with very light usage.
Is it possible I could get a replacement?
Thanks,
Lachy.
Something like that would work right? One quick question. When I get it I charge it up first then 4 discharge/recharge cycles right? Fastest way to do that?
Thanks,
Lachy
Yes and when you get your new battery you can drain it faster by watching video , playing games, pretty much any activity that's going to drain battery. Then charge to 100% without a break. Then do it
Again. Now that said, on my battery when I got it new it had calibration instructions, it said After discharge charge for full 12-14 hours even if it said full charge. This was part of the calibration technique.I'm pretty sure it would hold true for ALL batteries so after your discharge cycle you might want to charge uninterrupted for the 12-14 hour cycle then drain again and repeat 4-5 times. This was the instruction that came with my battery.(mugen) You might want to consider giving it a try and making sure the uninterrupted charge is At least 12 hours. Hope this helps and hope everything works out well for you. Best wishes.

Alright. I emailed them saying what I said in my previous post. Lets just hope I get a replacement. When I get my new battery I charge it to 100% then discharge or just start discharging?
Thanks,
Lachy
As I understand it, charge to 100 first then discharge, this is subjective. This was what the directions told me to do so I'm assuming it's correct procedure, although I've heard of others simply draining it from the start without charge. I would think the battery company knew what they are talking about so I'd go with charging to full first then discharge. I did this with my own battery and its worked out well. Best of luck to you! Enjoy your new battery!

You can also try a better extended battery. I was having same problem but got a better battery now my issue is solved. I got a extended 3800mah battery from mugen but if that's too big try Anker. Both are great batteries .I now get two days out of one charge . It's made a huge difference for me. You can find both batteries online. Anker is a whole lot less money and a thinner battery. But if you are a heavy user you might want to consider the bigger batteries. If you don't need that much juice go with Anker. Hope this helps.I know it solved my battery drain problem.best wishes!

use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1641605 and undervolt it to ~100mV or ~75mV
it makes a lot of differ in bricked kernel
thank me n the develeper if it helps u
I had the same issue on stock battery ( using vipers ). I had to charge it even two times a day. Could not watch a one hour video on YouTube (while brightness is set to max). Then bought anker 1900mah battery and my phone resurrected ! After whole day using battery still at 50&40 at midnight. I watch the whole episode of a tv serie on YouTube (almost two hours) and battery is still at 50&60 ! (ViperS 1.3.5) . When on standby battery drains one percent after almost three hours.
It's strange that you're having problems with anker.. maybe your battery have some problems..
Or you can change to ViperS just to experience if battery drain issue is still.

[Q] Opinion about baterry problem

Hi guys,

Have you tried using a extended battery?I was suffering with the same issue.I purchased a mugen 3600mah
and now with heavy use I can get two days out of my battery. I'd tried everything before to stop the drain but nothing was working. I tried settings, kernels, different roms. Still had the drain. This was really the solution for me! I'd tried other batteries but still was not satisfied until I got the big one. I can't stress enough what a difference it made!it did make my phone thicker but for' the battery life it is totally worth it! If the big battery is too much for you then try Anker it's a good extended battery. And it is not thick. A good battery makes all the difference ! Be careful when you buy because so many counterfeit ones are being sold. If you get a good battery, your not going to have to worry about drain .it solved my battery drain problem. You might want to try getting a Anker or mugen. Both Are excellent batteries.

Yep, totally agree with this, I can personally recommend the Anker battery. I now get 1/1 and a half days battery life with heavy use. The anker battery really isn't that much from amazon and is coming from a reputable source. I was also experiencing the same battery drains as you were before changing batteries.

i've got an anker battery, too, but my battery life is still not good.
i'm on fw 3.33 and i'm using arhd 6.7.2 with faux kernel underclocked to 918 mhz and undervolted -125.
what rom and kernel are you usin, to get good battery life?
Anker wasn't enough juice for me because I am a HEAVY user. This is why I went to mugen. I can confirm two days of use with heavy use out of the mugen 3800mah battery . I was more concerned about battery life than about my phone being a bit thicker so it did not bother me at all to go to the bigger battery. It solved my problems with battery drain and had proven to be a awesome solution ! I did have to save up for the battery because it is not cheap at 95 dollars. However honestly, for me, it's worth every penny. They have new backs now with better antenna and you don't have to worry about signal issues either. If your a HEAVY user I highly recommend this battery! If your a moderate user I recommend Anker. It's such a great feeling to finally not have to worry about battery life. Just beware of counterfeit and if you decide to order one get it directly from company because they're so many scam batteries going Around! They place a sticker over the fake battery making it look like its the real thing! With batteries you have to be really careful now. Order from the company when ever you order.

[Q] Battery Problem

Hello guys,
I am currently using CM10 RC with default kernel.
The problem i have is my battery doesn't charge properly. I'm using the default battery that came with the phone.
I plug in my phone to the USB cable(usually HTC default but i sometimes use blackberry's one).
My battery never reaches 100%. Everytime i plug it in for 3-4 hrs for charging, after that it just reads somewhere 60-90% but not more than that. If i reboot, it shows 100%. It takes from 20-30 mins for increasing 1% after reaching those levels, and gets stuck somewhere in between.
The problem is, sometimes my battery drains extremely fast, and sometimes drains normally but in both case using phone for same tasks.
Not sure if its battery problem or phone itself or ROM issues.
I am actually having the same problem in all the roms i try (sense, nonsense, sense4, aosp, miui sense or miui aosp.)
Any suggestions?
Hi there, yes it sounds like its time for a new battery. I was having terrible draining issues and I got a new battery it fixed my issues .I got a mugen 3800mah and now I get two days with heavy use out of my device! Most don't want that large of a battery but i'm a heavy user and its what I needed. If you don't need that much battery try Anker. It's a great extended life battery that also works very well ! Most people prefer the Anker. You can find both batteries online. The mugen is about 95 dollars where as the Anker is about 15 dollars. I do think you will see a significant difference with either battery. Both Are extended batteries. I personally wanted the big battery because I'm a heavy user but I had used Anker before I got the big battery and both are very good! I think this will help your situation. I wish you the best! Hope this helps. I know it helped me with my battery drain problem. Best of luck!

thanks buddy! I'm in india, and to be true, i dont trust the quality of goods u get here. thinking of buying Anker 1900 mah battery from their store.
BTW just asking, does that battery cover u got with mugen battery solve that infamous Wifi signal loss on holding senny on middle right side on the back?
Hi their, I do know that the back I got for my battery is the new back mugenbattery came out with for better signal. This contains antennas to help. I personally haven't experienced the death grip your speaking of but believe or not even with sensation stock back I never experiencedd the death grip.. .I've heard others speak of it but I must not be holding my device in a way to replacate the death grip. So I can not answer that question because I've never experienced the death grip with either cover. I can say the new covers provide a great signal for the device. Never had a signal problem with it. Everything works as it should. Navagation, wet Wi-Fi, 4g, it all works perfectly. If your interested in buying a mugenbattery, make sure that you get the new cover with the antennas and Not the old cover! Best wishes to

Battery is acting wierd..

So yeah as the title say i have some questions about my htc sensation stock battery which is acting extremely wierd. When I for example has 34% battery life (when going to bed) and when i wake up i have 96%? And also if i have maybe 40% and i restart the phone it can switch it to like 60%? Anyone know what this is because its pissing me off.!

I'm having similar behaviour out of my battery, it drains extremely quickly and I also get the level changes after a full reboot. I'd like to know if there's any way to fix it or if I have to get a new battery
You might want to try a new battery, my stock battery was draining so fast my phone was dead in 3 hours! I bought a extended battery and happily now my device with heavy use lasts around 26 hours! Most people prefer Anker battery, it's a reliable extended battery for under 20 dollars. Many people really love the Anker battery. I wanted the most juice I could get so I went for the mugen 3800mah. This battery has been great for me but it's not for everyone because it will make your phone thicker where as anker will not. It also is much more costly than anker. It just depends on your needs. But I suggest you start with anker. It is a great battery and won't disappoint. Hope this is helpful and best wishes.

Yeah I had a feeling that was it alright! I have been looking at the mugen 3800 and would love to get one, but as you said the only thing putting me off is the huge thickness with that battery installed. Might follow your advice and try the anker first. Btw thi question might be on the wrong thread but does anyone know if our sensations can be charged wirelessly?? It would make my life a whole lot easier, especially while I'm stuck with the faulty battery
Sometimes I charge my battery separately with a battery wall charge but I'm not sure about wireless. As for mugen battery, I have the mugen 3800mah and it really isn't so bad. The battery life really makes up for the thickness. It took about a week and I was used to it just depends on what your looking for.my mugen lasts with very heavy use at least 24 hours. It's really worth it to me. Best wishes
