Does anyone know how to get the htc music player to rescan your mp3's to add new songs to the Library?
I recommend sdrescan, can be found on the market.

Extended Controls has a media rescan option. Other useful stuff there too.
Hi, I have a quick question about music playback, when I take a phone call it resets the track to the beginning, which is a bit of a pain when listening to DJ mixes, is they any setting I can change?

Ive been playing with ADWLauncher on my new Sensation XE with Beats Audio personalising the screens and making tabs etc....
But when i play music and plug the Beats Audio Headphones in I cant seem to get it to activate the Beats Audio. It works fine with the Stock HTC Sense but nothing on the ADW. Anyone got any ideas?

Ive managed to get the stock player working but there is no widget for it in ADWLauncher mode which is irritating as its quite handy.
If i use any other player with the ADWLauncher i can use the widgets but the Audio Beats doesnt activate.
So it looks like its either Audio Beats with stock player and no widget or non stock music player with no Audio Beats with working widget
Bummer!
If anyone has a solution it would be great

Best tow I ever used is mx player and mobo they got allote of features and trixes specially mx download the codac with it its in market. U should try it out

I use MX player.For me its the best one.
As far as media players go, MX Player is very good due to the various options available for decoders & the subtitle support.
If its a music player you're looking for & want to go for a free one, my choice is Winamp. I really like the interface & the whole directory of Shoutcast radio stations is available.
I did not see it mentioned but BS player lite is also very good, though lately I'm using mobo player, just for the interface.

I have a similar question. I need a player that supports bookmarking because I alternately listen to podcasts/audiobooks and music.
I need to be able to pause a podcast and come back to it at the same spot.
I have found some players that do this like bTunes and AstroPlayer but they are super buggy.
WinAmp works wonderfully well but doesn't support this one feature.
I'm looking at MX right now to see if it supports bookmarking but I don't see it.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I see now that MX is a video player. Interesting that it has specific installs for different ARM versions. Still looking for a media player...

For me 2
MX Player all the way,bs player is also ok but for movies with subs mx is better.
And for music i use tt pod,its simple and easy to use.

And more importantly, I want the option to pause or change songs through the notification bar.

Poweramp isnt such a bad choice,
You can also chceck out winamp and ubermusic(paid)

PowerAmp, the best so far...
DoubleTwist is my favourite music app, it's free too. There is a paid version which allows you to sync your music with your computer like iTunes and allows you to retrieve album art through the app.
Try jetaudio.pretty good interface
mort player is great
I like PlayerPro, but I'm currently using Apollo, which came with CM10
Power amp is best I've used
