{V3.1}Links for STOCK/CM7/CM9/CM10 Kernels & Tweaks - T-Mobile LG G2x

Here is a collection of CM7, Gingerbread, ICS/CM9, JB/CM10 kernels.
Sometimes users encounter errors downloading, mainly when on their mobile device. If this happens, please use a PC to download your file. PM me if you ABSOLUTELY cannot download a file with an e-mail address, and I will send it to you as an attachment.
I've added in version numbers. This will be changed anytime a new kernel/tweak/script is shared. I believe this may be an easy way for members to know without having to load up the thread if there has been an addition.

Thank you. Will merge into the OP so it's not overlooked.

Please include the faux 048s under CM7 Kernels. It works well for some G2X devices, including mine.
Took me awhile to look for that kernel in another thread that is 400 pages long.
Thank you.

I knew there was a reason I keep all the old kernels and ROMs I have ever downloaded for my G2x. Links become dead or item is hard to find. I forgot about uploading 048. I actually used it longer than any other kernel.

Originally I created this thread to showcase the CM7 and GB kernel lines. The reason I choose this is that I personally have used every kernel i uploaded. And thats the other point, I uploaded/mirrored these specifically as most new members are first time flashing this phone, so most tend to flash CM7/GB ROMs for stability. Alot of this older ROM material is getting buried/harder to find or the links are dead, and the latest has been government seizure of hosting servers.
That being said, if people want this to be a thread containing a collection of all kernels old and current i can change it up. I will need your help as i am a full time college student and work full time as well. Any kernel that you would like listed in the OP, please link me, or if you have it on your PC, PM me and send it as an attachment via email. Any kernel i list i want to upload /mirror that way i know the links are valid, and if for some unseen reason the current service im using for hosting gets caught up in a government seizure, i will be able to move everything to a second site more easily.
As always, open to suggestions and appreciative of your help.

[Q] How to add BLN to latest ICS Kernel

Hello guys
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to edit the kernels from the ICS available roms and simply add the BLN notifications?
I do not want or need all the other tweaks.
I just want BLN added to this, nothing else.
Thank you
EDIT: IS the OTA ICS kernel source known yet?
No one?
Sent from my Htcclay's SuperICS Nexus S using XDA App
have you seen dev section and see thoes ICS kernel ?
Using NSTools you can simply enable or disable the tweaks you want. At least you can on the GB kernels. I'd assume this the case with the ICS kernels that are available, but I haven't tried out ICS honestly.

Yes but those kernel have way too much tweaking for me. I want something simple, as my experience with that sort of kernels has drained my battery more than with a stock kernel (with fresh installs and all the wipes)

Yes but I was looking to implement that on a stock ics kernel. Just BLN, nothing else.
So, there is no one here on the forum that has or knows how to implement BLN in a kernel?!
people only check the android development section...that is sad bud true.
As far as i know BLN does not work with stock kernel neither with NStools nor with any other app.
Stock kernel simply does not support BLN.
People aren't building kernels from thin air, they are using the released source files for the stock ones and tweaking them afterwards. I only want to add bln to those stock releases.

He built an almost stock kernel for GB with BLN, so i'm sure he's already working on it.
Well, technically you could insmod a kernel module in...
that's what I want, to simply add to the ICS kernel source the BLN, nothing else.
I'm just trying to find a way to do it because this is not my area of expertise...
is the source for the latest ICS kernel for nexus S known? for version 3.0.8-gb55e9ac [email protected] #1 ?
tks for all of your tips btw
rooted ICS, but bln ain't working.
the kernel mods aren't there, so as the liblights; the app is not enough.
we have to wait for a modded kernel to use with stock rom.
my problem is that when every kernel is build by some developer, it is released with several mods that I don't want. I simply wan't to pick up the latest ICS kernel source and add the bln libraries and necessary files for it to work. nothing else, nothing less, just that minor tweak.

however no one of these are working with stock OTA ICS 4.0.3 as far as now.
let's see what the future brings..
BLN has been added to the stock cm9 kernel

tks, so this means bln has been added to the latest kernel contained in OTA 4.0.3? or that it can now be added to the kernel? sorry man, I'm reading a lot about all of this, but if anything,I think I'm getting more confused...damn...

No, he was stating that Cyanogenmod has added BLN to their kernel. BLN will most likely never be added to stock android. You will have to download a compatible kernel.
---------- Post added at 08:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:11 PM ----------
I was bored so here is a kernel that should work for you.
Make sure you Nandroid before install as I'm not responsible for any screwups.
You may have to flash it twice if WiFi doesn't work the first time.
Only tested on i9020t.
I cherry-picked Ezekeel's BLN for this so he deserves credit.

Hello again
Flashed it last night and I believe it is working nicely my friend.thank you very much for helping.
Just for the record, although both, bln app and nstools work, it works better with bln app from the market as it alows enabling bln for missed calls also. With nstools everything was using bln except the missing calls.
Can/should I share your work?

You can but I don't really have any intentions of providing support, hence why I didn't post this in the dev section. It shouldn't need any as it's stock with only bln added so it shouldn't be a problem.

[Q] Best Kernel for ICS on G2x?

I've recently flashed to an ICS rom, and I am now trying to figure out what the best kernel is to run with it (I'd really like to see one that maximizes battery life.) If you are running ICS, would you mind please posting what ROM you are using and what Kernel you have along with it. Also, take a second to explain the pros and cons of that Kernel so we may all make more informed decisions as we prepare to potentially flash one...
Thank you kindly!

Mr. Apocalypse uses Harsh's kernel for Genesis. Owain uses Harsh's kernel for his ICS build. x0xhellx0x uses Faux's kernel for Hellfire Sandwich. I think you can use those as starting point. I like Morfic's Trinity kernel because you can OC to 1560.

For Faux's 014b2 kernel, which do you recommend when running Kwes' modified stock ROM (v21y)? I see pre-UV and stock voltage versions. I'm leaning towards stock voltage, but is there a major advantage for the pre-UV? (I'm not even really sure what is meant by pre-UV -- pre-under voltage?)
Thanks!
EDIT: pre-UV is pre-under volted. From a little more reading, I found that pre-UV means the kernel has a -50mv UV already. So if using UV/OC tools and apps, you need to take into account that -50mv already.

Sorry, but you all are way too early for this thread. 3 kernels out right now that were released in the past 1.5 months. Lightning Zap-injectable/BlastoffV2-cwmTWRP/Hefe-cwmTWRP. They are all doing their best to improve each one and eventually have an finished stock kernel. I'm having fun with Hefe so far at 1.2 OC. He is working on a lot of stuff including the setting of UV values. In my opinion, they equally will be beast kernels as development continues. Thank the Devs for their precious time as they work hard, so be patient.
You know blastoff is a bml kernel and will NOT work on the ICS Flavored roms right?
I agree tho some of us (including me) were quick to say oc/uv wasnt possible and then jeffsf stroll's in and drops hefe.

For example i cannot record 1080p !!! I want to use a stable rom and kernel. It has to be android 2.3.x or higher at least. By the way when I install harsh kernel my phone says your sd card and phone memory is damaged. I could not solve that problem.
Thank you

Stick with CM7 ROMS or Rooted Mod Stock ROMs.
My favorite is BuROM Modded Stock with Faux Kernel 14_b2
OR
CM7 Nightly 135.1 with Faux Kernel 52
CM 7.2 Official with Faux 52
CM 7.2 Nightlies and Faux v52 LG Stock stable
I believe we have a consensus starting, lol notice the trend?

lol cm7.2 + faux won the consensus congrats..
I personally have issues with Trinity kernels that I don't have with faux. I say faux based off personal experience.
If you need any of his older kernels that are not available anymore, I have several GB and CM7 kernels of his uploaded . So if you want an older version, pm me for links.

What's the difference between "P999-CM-Kernel-052-sv-lg-stable.zip" and "P999-CM-Kernel-052-sv-stable.zip" at http://faux.androidro.ms/?
And any idiots guides to installing rom/kernel? I want to install CM 7, currently using stock unrooted 2.3.4 and 21y.

"lg" means low grade, that one is for phones that can't handle the higher CPU clock speeds.

getting back on topic...
another vote for trinity..
either CM 7.2 nightly + trinity elp or HFP 2.3 + trinity elp
Morfic's kernels work much better on my phone (LG-P999DW) + 21y baseband...
21e baseband *never* worked quite right for my phone, even on stock.

the LG means stock LG voltages and is unable to control undervolting. the other is for if you plan to undervolt with an app like SetCPU.
