Sorry if there is already a thread, the thing that tells you if there is already one seems to not be working, but I was just wondering how to port AOKP because I can port cm9,paranoid,cm10,cm7 etc.. and all kinds of os's such as mokeeos or joyos, but I'm having troubles with AOKP. I know there is an extra step when you try to port it like CM9.
How I port CM9:
Delete App, Framework, Fonts & Media Base
Take App, Framework, Fonts & Media Out The Rom Your Trying To Port & Put It In Base
Take Android_Runtime.so Out The Lib Folder Of The Rom Your Trying To Port & Put It In Your Base Lib Folder
Thanks and again sorry if there is already a thread! Thanks and have a great day!

I'm not the one to ask...
but Isn't there anyone who wants to help?
I really want it to happen.
I'm not entirely sure on this but if you can pull the launcher.apk from the CM7 ROM that you want and go from there... may require developing skill, may not depends on what your system is based off of
How Can I create an android 3.2.1 HONEYCOMB ROM for the transformer...
Thanks in advance
First, the HC source is not available, so you can't compile one from scratch like you can for gingerbread. ICS will be open source, so when that is released next month, you will be able to compile your own rom from source.
So in the meantime, at this point you have a few options remaining:
1) use the ASUS roms as a starting point and mod and theme them to your liking. There are several *prime* examples of this in the dev forum.
2) port a rom from another device, such as the xoom. I'm not 100% sure if this is possible, but since they share the same CPU, it will at least be a fun challenge.
I mean I want to add themes, apps, launchers and create custom ui and settings...
I wrote some things in this thread that might be helpful to you

Good luck!
OK..
How Can I edit a custom rom...
Thanks in advance...
hi,
i want to cook for me an cyanogemod ROM .i would create an Theme with the UOT Kitchen for this ROM.
which APK´s can i upload? This ROM has an Themechooser, but i would this new theme as default at first start.
I hope anyone can help me!
Thanks Happy Feet
This is the wrong section for this question, but anyways
If you don't want to use the theme chooser method, you have to upload the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk in the kitchen, CM has no resources.apk (only present in Sense Roms).
So, Since the Cyanogenmod source is so big (I heard that it has 19GB), people like us who have gay as slow internet have no chance of even trying to cook a ROM for our unsupported devices.
Since I can't download the whole CM source and I see awesome ROM's out there, I Ported one ROM called Cyanfox (which was made for Samsung S2 i9100) to Samsung Infuse 4G using Beanstalk ROM as a base. I followed a guide which asks me to replace some folders and edit some files. It was walking fine. Then came an update to both the ROMs, Thinking that cince it is a update, it will have the updated apps and source, I tried porting them again but this time Beanstalk updated ROM as a base cause a bootloop while the Beanstalk old ROM works fine as a Base ROM.
Now what I don't get is, why is Beanstalk new ROM not working as a base? (Since the new Beanstalk ROM will have updated Source, I want to use that ROM as my base.)
And the second question is, what files does actually matter when you are Porting or cooking an Android ROM? (I mean like windows works on all kind of PC's all it needs is the drivers right? The drivers actually matter on windows)
And the 3rd question is can I update the source files somehow without downloading the whole 19GB CM source and if possible how?
The 4rth is, I heard from somewhere that boot.img is the file which separates the phones? Then why can't we just port ROM's by replacing boot.img since these two phone's are from the same vendor and it has likely specs. (Which is not possible I think)
I am really really a newbie to this thingies, I just wanted to clear out these things. Sorry for my noobness.
Thanks!
Hi dudes I new in XDA I want to know if someone can help me, my situation is this
I have a problem with all Roms i have port Does not recognize the internal storage after a while researching I found the way to fix it which it is to decompile the services.jar and replace all mount service.smali from stock to port but it only works in some Roms like lollifox and others but in others like Mediamod v5 or aliv os, after startup get force close app system ui has stopped media storage has stoped etc
My question is this ¿Why it works in some ROM but in others fail?
Thanks in advance.
