Hey guys, when I install some roms ( sense 1.0.2 and coredroid, they seem to only give me the app drawer icon on the bottom right corner, no sense clock or widgets nothing, what am I.doing wrong?

Some roms are different but have you looked into the menu where the widgets should be? Are they not there? I'm not exactly familiar with that particular Rom so I can't really say but if you like widgets and customization you can try another sense Rom like viper . It's sense 4.1 and I can confirm it has many widgets and tons of customization! It's stable and I think you would really like it a lot! You ought to give it a try. I also can confirm that in vipers widgets is several different sense clocks you can choose from.I wish I could be of more help but like I said I'm unfamiliar with that particular Rom so I can't say weather the widgets are included or not. If you don't want to switch roms what you CAN
Do is post this question on that roms developer site where everyone on that site uses the same Rom and they can better answer this question weather or not these things Are included in the Rom and how to access them. I really Hope this helps and I wish you the best !

Ok thanks for your help, Im on viper atm, just wanted to try some out see if I like them, coredroid I used on my dhd that was wikked back then and there's no widgets in settings.at all

Probably have been asked before, although i haven't seen it anywhere, which is why i'll ask here..
Is it possible to change the HTC sense 3.6 dockbar, to say, stock ICS?
Thanks (using Android Revo 6.5, beats XE on my sensation 4G)
With a different Launcher, yes
Not in Sense though

I saw a theme that removes the glossy bar. If that helps but you can also try an alternative launcher like nova trebutchet or apex at the cost of HTC widgets .

If you want AOSP, Go for virtuous inquisition, its 99% AOSP. Very stable and smooth.

I switched from ARHD to OrDroid and I freakin love it. Sense 4.0 is awesome and runs smooth on the Sensation 4G. Just dump the Sense launcher and use something like Apex or LauncherPro instead.
Try them all and see which one you like best. They are all good. Try sense and senseless Roms. My personal favorite is Elegancia after trying many.

I love my Sensation XE now more than ever after I flashed ORDroid v5.0.2 + SoundBoost + Equalizer + faux kernel.
I don't know if its just me but the beats sounds way much better than when I was on ARHD v6.6.3. The only downside is I get a better battery life on my last installed rom.
As the previous poster mentioned above, use other launcher like Apex or Nova.

Same here. Although, I like the Sense launcher, to me 3rd party launchers with Sense feel really out of place.
On a side note, I hope LauncherPro gets updated someday. It was excellent on Gingerbread and Froyo on previous phones.
Really, another which Rom is best thread.
What's wrong with the countless other identical threads out there.

While I mostly agree, I need to correct some things....no offense.
Virtuous isn't AOSP, it's an AOSP "experience" based off sense base. True AOSP right now is Opensensation which is (CM9).....also as listed in your last suggestion cm9 (opensensation) isn't that customizable right now.
Also, while many suggest to try them for yourself......to someone who just rooted their new sensation, this can be a long process, with plenty of time consuming reading and configurations....
So I think it's best to offer the OP a starting point:
Pure stock like sense (3.6) - ARHD
Pure Stock like Sense (4.0) - Don't know if there is one, most I've tried are too laggy, and have too many bugs....but try any one to get the feel...maybe Coindroid
Pure AOSP - Opensensation (I don't even notice the bugs as listed)
Pure MIUI - There isn't one
- MIUI.us and MIUI android are based off sense base
- UltimiuIcs is based off AOSP, but developer is finishing exams
Given the above, they offer a starting point (with MIUI and sense 4.0 a starting point just to see what it's about) IMO, I'd wait for MIUI AOSP based if you like that, and wait for bug free sense 4.0 if you like that.
The rest of the roms, sense and AOSP are just variations on the starting points above.....with some being tiny, tiny visual variations (the rest under the hood), and others quite a few modifications.
As far as my onions:
- I find sense too laggy, I mean our phones can handle it....but of you want battery life, your gonna have lag.
- I recently moved to Opensensation, and can't even compare the speed....even underclocked, undervolted....while I do miss some sense features, they don't even compare to the speed.
- I recently tried "eyecandy" AOKP, based off AOSP....and there is a lot of tweakability and theming works as I'm sure more will be available.
As far as kernels.....if running sense, I'd use bricked, if running AOSP, use stock kernel with rom, or faux kernel.
Hope that helps for a starting point....and NANDROID...NANDROID!
That way you can easily revert back if you don't like one or get into trouble.
Cheers!

Hi there, I'm trying to get the RadioFM widget on a ROM that apparently has not this option.
I have the RadioFM App, but I don't have the Widget, so I thought I could pull it out from another ROM and install it separately, or push it to the right folder.
Is that widget included in the original HtcFMRadio.apk or should I look somewhere else?
Anybody has any suggestion?
I looked over the Market for a replacement app...but I only found app to listen to radio channels on streaming...whereas I'd like the FMRadio Tuner widget..!
Unless you're using a sense ROM, htc widgets will not work. They're embedded into framework-res and other system files. If you ARE using a sense ROM, you should have the widget anyway.

I'm using a Hybrid AOSP+SENSE...I do have the original HtcFMradio apk but not the widget....and from your answer I guess I never will till I keep this Rom...which btw I absolutely love a part from this detaik
I also tried with SpiritFM from the market which is a great tuner but comes with no widget :-/
Any ideas?!

Well the lack of any HTC widgets should have been a clue!
But I don't know of any other radio widgets. Would you consider moving to a full sense ROM? There are some good stable sense 4 ROMs out there

Actually, from your sig I can see we were on the same amazing Pkmn 5.1 this is my first non-full-sense rom and I changed it just a couple of days ago!
I didn't change my sig cause I'm plannig to get back to Pkmn as soon as the update will come...but I don't exclude I might stick to the Rom I'm trying these days: Smartdroid Berserk mode 1.5 Aosp+Sense 3.6+Sense 4
I do have SOME Sense widgets, like the ususal HTC clock/weather/calendar home widget...and so far it's the snappiest rom I EVER tried...!!
But this thing of the FMRadio widget missing is really annoying as I was used to have a particular config on my home functional to my needs and I'll have to change everything if I don't find one!
I found out a com.htc.FMRadioWidget.apk on System/app of ARHD ...but it didn't help me at all as it wouldn't install...and pushing it to the right folder + fixing permission didn't help either
Stick with PkMn ROM then. Update is imminent, an it has full sense, for your widget needs!

Hey guys,
I really want the sense 4.0 photo editing features, if answer is no can you suggest an application that can help me to do similar things like editing saturation, brightness, etc.
I guess that would not work. Sense 4 and 3.6 compatibility doesn't really work.
But there are enough sense 4 Roms like elegancia. You could gone them a try.
Just don't forget to backup first.

tried that also even i knew it wouldn't work. see how desperately i want that editing tools
I was waiting for a stable release of CM9 which came weeks back and i downloaded it on the same day itself.
I love love love the Sense UI, the lockscreen and way i get music, missed calls and messages over it which has been restraining me from rooting along with the new black notification bar !
Another thing holding me back is that after rooting and flashing CM9 I will most definitely lose the Beats Audio Integration right ?
So...suggestions ?
If you love Sense, dont switch to Cyanogen. Its nothing like Sense.
But you will still benefit from rooting. And if you want to upgrade your user experience try out some of the other Sense based roms that will let you keep Sense and Beats and give you more stability and options

You can always try sense 4 ROMs. In my opinion the UI is even better than sense 3.6 and you lose none of the great intuitive widgets or beats audio that HTC provide. Viper is quite popular when it comes to sense 4. Link to the thread is in my sig.

Yeah, Sense 4 is better, love the dialer especially Anyways, can i have the pure sense 4 look from the Viper ROM ?
I know and have read a lot that it is one of the best and stable ROM for sensations but i dont really like the blue-blue tinge to everything and the altered lock-screen. But, i know this only from the 3-5 screenshots i have seen of it....i am relying on you all to explain it to me (or you could post the thread which has more screenshots than the official thread)
Meanwhile i will YouTube it Thank for the help

Thank you for your compliment! always nice to hear my work is appreciated. But unfortunately, its only for the viperS (sensation) or viperX (one x) ROMs.
As for pure sense 4, viper has it. The screenshot you prob saw was the AOSP lockscreen you can switch to in the tweaks. It's the standard lockring from 3.6 otherwise. As for the blue tinge, I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. There's no blue tinge to anything I've seen while using the ROM. Just flash it to try it out. You won't be disappointed!!!
I think you have seen the blue then from jerrytans all in one theme, just flashing viper s alone gives you a really stock sense 4 feel by default
