I've been using Team EOS 1.0 and N75 and ironically both get the friggen Moto 4.0.4 OTA update notification.
Can someone point me to the right thread on how to get and install fotakill.apk? I searched the forum and using Google but no dice.
Thanks!

Why dont you just update? The jellybean ROMs are quite stable.

i have been reading horrible posts on how ICS screwed up many phones, even non-rooted ones. Many reports claiming it is still unstable.

thanks man! its working on nexus7! OTA is annoying when you are rooted
Just bought a used skyrocket only problem is the battery door got Lil scratches (already order new one on eBay for 5 bucks) but got it for a sweet 200! So people its already rooted (he said he used super one click) stock recovery and on 2.3.6 is it hard to install roms on here and any good ones?

All the roms are good and their not very hard to install. Make sure you do your fair share of reading. All the info you need are in these forums. Look at the sticky threads in each section. Good luck

Looking good!
im using skymod 5.1. uses Apex launcher and is fairly stable...thing is you never know with ROMs based on leaked code if it's the dev or just bugged ICS code.
ill i really want is an experience that's just pure Android, no UI BS...just pure. I miss my Nexus One for that exact reason.

Yes so many ICS roms yet they ain't stable for DD right? Also feel so dumb and totally forgot the the rocket has nfc. So far reading no ics rom has that working correct? I'm assuming that one we get a official release of ICS then nfc should work?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
1) nfc works
2) many people use it as a dd, no fcs or instabilities, just a few tiny bugs, that may or may not annoy (shutdown/reboot anyone?)

As well as the ROMS this "all in one location" helped me it links how to Root (different methods) one click works best for me, talks about kernals, ODIN return to stock, and much more.
As always READ READ READ. I read for about 2 months. Was rooted, downloaded an app that borked my modem. Knew exactly where to go to return to stock......
OK have to look at it ICS some more just loving alien#6 to much with faux kernel!
But anybody recommended a ICS that's pretty stable and has nfc working?

Started with NexusMod 4 and quickly went to NexusMod ICS Slim. This ROM blazes on the latest ICS leak and the developer is quick on updates and support. I personally use it as a Daily Driver with very few hiccups.

Nope. I had a fully functioning GPS. Was working great no matter where I was. Now if the map data wasnt present then I would just be flying through a garbled mess of nothingness on the map, but the actual GPS was working.

Very much settings, more than PAC and seems to have all cm10.1 bugs. Successfully flashed cm 10.1 swap file. Theming is only done because of my cm theme. But this rom seems to be a better PAC rom, as i said before in to daily use now and it seems to work flawlessy. Everybody should try this rom and maybe one of our developers can continue the work on it. I am using it with butter kernel 1.2 by Grarak.

Before, it use pacman's framework & settings for the mix rom thing as his mod rom base since JB 4.1, it was all right actually, but later on at JB 4.2 he erased pacman's commit histories in his forked source and claimed it to be his work, and some of the Pac member reported him for stealing someone else work, that is why he and his work were banned in xda.
I hope he is doing it right this time in his new release somewhere else.

Hey guys,
Soo... JB 4.3 is out, and seems quite interesting and worth upgrading to. So, I have a few questions:
1) Will it be worth for the devs to work on 4.3 for the P999?
2) Do you think there will be any roms for it?
3) If no, do you think that the development for the P999 is dead?
First, let me ask you a question. Do you know why we don't have a proper JB ROM yet, or even ICS ROM...?

I'm daily driving a hackfest, and I love it. I'm sure there's many others who can live with a hackfest too.
If there was a 4.3 ROM I'd think it'd be apolkosnik to release it but with a broken radio like the current 4.2.2 ROM out.
There isn't even a hackfest version of android 4.2. There is no complete source to any hackfest for this device anymore I believe. Development is dead unless Maz ends up getting something released if he's still working on anything outside his kernels in my opinion

hmm...closest app to a fully functioning recorder that i have tried so far but still not working correctly. The video freezes up every few seconds while recording and then continues to record again and then repeats the cycle in the playback. The SD and Internal SD are reversed, so if you have a larger SD it makes it seem like you have a large internal memory. Also the directory name for the "external" (now your 5gb internal) has changed to /mnt/emmc
