Recently, I've removed /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db.
Actually, I cannot use Play Store. I see info: No conection and "retry" button below.
My device isn't available on play.google.com anymore. Changing Google account doesn't work either.
Tried to clear data of Play Store to fix it, but without results.

This problem is (hopefully) the very last problem that I have with this phone after I rooted it and deleted too many things without backing them up.
My first problem was exactly the same as the one I have now, with Google Play Store not working. Following the final step on this site...

I factory reset the phone. Unfortunately, I deleted some vital apps before this had happened, and had failed to back them up, among them was the home screen, which caused lgsetupwizard to keep shutting down and restarting. To solve that problem, I installed Nova Launcher using ADB.
My next problem was that all Google Play apps wouldn't start. With the store, it would start and immediately crash, with the others, such as books and newsstand, the loading circle would show and never go away. The solution to that was to download all of the Google Apps from an outside source and install them using ADB.
The next thing that happened was that Google+ kept starting on its own and crashing, forcing me to update using the Play Store which of course, wasn't working. The only solution that I could come up with was deleting it.
Now, I have some functionality of the other Google Play apps, with the exception of Google Play Store, which says "Check your connection and try again." which leaves me right back where I started from, except now I have Amazon App Store and F-Droid maintaining all of my non-Google apps.
Knowing that a factory reset is not an option, how do I proceed and get full functionality of the Google Play Store back?
Hi everyone, I've been having problems getting on to my Google Play store app and whenever I try to open it says, "Check your connection and Try Again." I'm connected on good WiFi and I've tried running it on data but it still doesn't work. It also does this with some other Google apps such as gmail, but youtube seems to still work. It does show up with my account when I swipe left but I can't do anything. I've logged out and back in, reset to factory google play store, downloaded the newest version of the apk and cleared the data to the app in Google Play services and the Store itself... Please help me out...
Woke up yesterday morning and I was unable to use any app google or gmail related. Every time I try to open the play store it instantly closes out. "Google" is no longer under the accounts tab in the settings. Can't log into any apps using google because they just crash when I try. Have tried EVERYTHING. Cleared cache and data and uninstalled updates for all google related apps hoping it would help. Nothing. ( yes I tried rebooting it). I have now factory restarted/wiped my phone 3 times and every time I get to the start up wizard I get "verizon location agent has failed" then I get "google play services has failed". Even without completing the startup wizard google and the play store still don't work. Called verizon. Then google. Then Motorola. They couldn't fix anything. Don't know what to do can't use a lot of my apps and I have no contacts just numbers.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Try going into settings, apps and find Google Play Store Click on it and uninstall updates.

Hello
Sometimes ( 1 or 2 times per day), my google app are buggy : I do have wifi or mobiledata connection, but google play or google map behave as there wasn't any : google play show a blank page with an infinite loading, google map show the preloaded map, but can't load anything more or can't make any search....
If I try swipe to see the left panel, my avatar isn't there and is replaced with google default avatar...
Of course if I access google map or play via the browser, everything work...
To fix this, I must manually "force stop" google play service, or reboot.
I am root but these occured before rooting, I have already tried wipe with no success

have you ever heard of a wonderful tool call google :
- Go to settings, click on the search box, type goog p, select Google play service in the search results, delete all data and cache in it.
- Go to settings, google, log in, it will spin for a while. And not login, let it run to the end
- Go to settings, app management, 3 dots button on the right,
select google basic service, turn it off,
- go back to google play service by typing google p in the search box of settings, delete all data, and delete all updates by pressing the three dots button on the right.
- Go back to turn on google basic service,
- go to enable google play store by typing goog p in the search box of settings, then select google play store, - enable
- go to settings - Google - login again
