Glad you're enjoying cm9, been a good week when ics dropped. I was on stock for an hour and then testing
Thanks for screenies

for the first time ever, there's a CM release that I cant find any bugs for other than the one listed. I havent tested phone calls in/out yet (at work) but so far, I must say, Bravo, good sir, broavo

tried to install teamviewer quick support and it told me wrong firmware. this works on stock (GB and ICS)
logcat here: http://pastebin.com/YJm1FueM
it says different firmware and gives a link to download an alternative version. download that one and it still does it. perhaps something in the kernel???
---edit----
i know this isnt a bug in CM9, per se, but this might cause issues with other apps down the road maybe?

Data Speeds
Just gave this a go.
It's running well for a first release.
I have noticed data speeds are about half of what they should be.
I'm sure you're aware of this.
Any who,
Thanks for sharing.

No offense man because I've talked to yyou before and you seem cool but I like the dev thread reserved for logs and bugs or maybe help with bugs othet than that comments or posts like these are better in Q&A

Yes as mentioned I've talked to him before...but I still like to keep the thread cleaned and this post included shouldn't be put here but rather belongs on PM and/or Q&A thread as it has nothing to do with the rom or any bugs for the rom.

In the Apollo music player the volume is always turned all the way up for me. Is it just me or a bug with the rom?

[ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] AOKP-JB Built from source **Beta

Ladies and gentlemen of the EVO 4g, after a marathon day of working on this yesterday, and with the help of qnhoang81, _jmz_, and many thanks to the above individuals named below, I give you AOKP JB from source!
Please bear in mind, these won't be quite the literal definition of nightly, but I'll update as often as I'm able.
Download Links
AOKP JB latest nightly
GApps as of 10/15/12
I've not had time to extensively test every feature, but I think you'll find it (hopefully) as functional as CM10 has been from _jmz_.
Works:
Code:
Calling
Texting
Data
Camera (Buggy at times, but stepping megapixels down from 8 to 6 will make it less so)
ROMControl (DPI does not, see instructions to do so below)
Wifi
Bluetooth
Quick Reply, thanks to Evervolv once again for updated kernel
Fix for DPI Changing (to make tablet mode more workable)
Download file explorer of choice
Mount system as rw (read-write)
Find this line with a text editor in the build.prop: ro.sf.lcd_density = 240
Change 240 to 160
Save
Remount as read only
Reboot
Viola!
This is temporary, I will be looking into a fix for this.
Known issues, in order of importance
Code:
Facebook does not work, looking into that right now.
Camcorder
Panorama
4g
FFC
I beg you, please report any bugs below.
And don't just tell me something's broke, give me a log too. If you don't know how to make a log, Google is your best friend.
Code:
#include std_disclaimer.h
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
Installation:
Wipe Data, Cache, and system (this will be the first question if you have FC's or random reboots).
Flash the ROM.
Flash GApps.
Reboot into the system.
Stable, or last known working
Code:
10/14/12 - Original upload
Major Milestones, or semi-stable builds, will be listed here.
Source is uploaded, follow directions in platform_manifest in my git. Implies you have a basic knowledge on how to work with Android trees already.
https://github.com/couga6442
Official Thanks List, now with links:
_jmz_: giving me a base device folder to start with.
qnhoang81: giving me inspiration to carry this out
Evervolv: their amazing work on keeping the supersonic updated with each new Android version release, and the kernel that powers this rom, available at their github.
The folks at #teamkang on FreeNode IRC network for being such an entertaining crowd
preludedrew more specifically from Evervolv, for putting up with listening to me complain, and helping me even though it wasn't his code
AOKP for all the features they've added, and the reason I ported this rom
last but not least, rukin5197, for showing me AOKP could be built after it was dropped.
Reserved, and may need a mod to move to Original Dev. It's been a while since I was on XDA last.

Are there more details on what these minor issues are?
I'm all for fixing stuff, but I'm really bad at figuring out what's broken.
Quick noob question. When I flash 4.1.2 gapps, wouldn't they override the features of 4.2 apps?

Is there any reason why I'd want to do a full wipe when switching between them? (Other than the normal reasons why I'd want to like glitches due to bad installs or something)
I didn't realize that you were putting the pdroid mod into this. That is the single biggest reason I'm switching tonight. That is pretty exciting stuff! That the CM caved to pressure from google to leave similar features out of the basic framework was weak on their part. Thank you for putting it back in!

11/16 preview build I'm getting a slight bug where when I turn my WiFi off it takes a while for data to pick up. Nothing major like the data bug but it takes as much as 3 mins to start working. When it does come on I get amazing signal though. I'll try to replicate it while I have alogcat running and see what I get but in the meanwhile maybe someone else can verify.
Edit:just noticed 11/19 up so no sense in reporting that bug until I flash the latest and check it out.

Instructions to flash;
1. Reboot to cwm( this can be done from gb or ics with cwm 5.0.2.8 or higher )
2. Wipe data(back it up before hand)
3. Format System
4. Flash CM10 build x + 4.1.2 Gapps
5. Reboot let it sit for 5 then enjoy jelly belly lol
Important for V2 since capacitive lights are fixed BLN got borked so go to Settings - Display and uncheck Notificaton Lights because you will get reboots if you don't and alarm will reboot you
How to help me:
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow.
The CyanogenMod team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

An Alpha version describes a development status that usually means the first complete version of a program or application, which is most likely unstable, but is useful to show what the product will do and is also called a preview version.
Erikmm I followed your directions to the T and I'm glad to report that my 3G is working just fine. I flashed the LB6 modem along with the ROM and it hasn't rebooted once randomly. Instead of using 2G networks only, I untoggle airplane mode and its working fine.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

CREDITS:
kyndig for testing
hechoen for testing
fbis251 for testing and fixing modem issue
teamacid for kernel base
jt1134 for making all the changes to make ICS run on GB kernel
erikmm for going beastMODE lol
Enjoy!

[ROM][4.3][UNOFFICIAL]CarbonRom

About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.
Features
Simply stated, we can't really list features here. There are too many and they change too frequently, and we now support a truly insane number of devices. Chances are, if you like a feature, we have it already. Seriously.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our G+ Community: http://community.carbon-rom.com This is where we spend the bulk of our time and the best way to reach us and other community members. We update and frequent this community far more than XDA, simply due to time constraints and the convenience of G+.
5) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

I did manage to get it to boot after a fresh install on system 3 but since wifi wasn't working, I rebooted the phone. Unfortunately, everytime I go to system 3, it's stuck at the black screen.
Haven't heard from any of the other guys who have installed it, so I'm not sure if that's just a problem with me or someone else is having it too.
Appreciate your help and concern. Back to MoKee for now.

Couple of additions that would make this ROM even better are - fixing the Halo ofcourse, pop-up installation and uninstallation windows (like in MoKee) and ofcourse kernel additions for OC and better support for 4.3. Great work so far!
