Does anyone know how to help me on this one? When I set up the device configuration tree, it says "No matches for product spec "full_pyramid" Stop."

it is probably is giving you that message because you need to add product_specs for the pyramid. If you can give me a link to what setup guide you are using i might be able to help you but I have may not have enough free storage to help fully.

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Boot_to_Gecko/Porting
This is the documentation that I used to set up the system.

And in what step you are now? Do you compile kernel?

I couldn't find the init.rc in etc folder of cm9, so I couldn't build the kernel.

You will have to decompile a kernel to get the init.rc file. I use dixda's Android Kitchen to do this.

I rebuilt the kernel from cm9 kernel's init.rc, but I still get the error.

I got all the tools and stuff installed and went through all the other stuff in the Porting guide you posted a link to. But when I run the command, ANDROIDFS_DIR=my_device_backup ./config.sh <device_id> default.xml" I got the following error.
Code:
Get tmp_manifest_repo
error: revision master in manifests not found
Repo sync failed
It is 7:07 in the morning and I have not been to sleep yet so I am going to go to bed and try to figure out what the issue is with the manifest this evening.

Ok the problem is I do not have a tmp_manifest_repo folder in G2B so now I got to figure out Wu I do not have one. Do you have this folder in your build folder?
Also if you need me to I can give you detailed instructions on what I did about the init.rc file.

Usually, that folder is automatically generated, and default.xml is placed in there.

Yeah that is what I said when I understood hat the error was. The first thing is suppose to do is generate tmp_manifest_repo Folder and its contents. Maybe it was just a fluke and it will correct itself when I try again in a little bit. I only tried it once this morning and I was to tired to try again after setting up long enough to find the cause of the issue.

Has it built yet?

Vendor setup for Thunderbolt

I would like to know if anyone knows where I might find the vendor setup folder for the Thunderbolt to use for building Gingerbread.
I have Slayher's vendor setup folder but that's for CM 7.
Thank you
Follow the guide on the CyanogenMod Wiki for compiling from source. The Thunderbolt files have been merged into the repo.
Follow the same exact steps as the wiki explains and you'll be fine. Just remember to change the device name from whatever it is to mecha.

ARG!! how OCD can I possibly be

So, I'm loving CoreDroid, but it bothers me that it says DesireHD in the Phone info screen. I found the instructions to change it (and made the change in my coredroid zip file), but do I really want to set my phone up for a second time today just to change one entry?
In reflection, I think I will just check this particular entry in all future ROMS
Since it is the same rom and version, you should be able to flash right over top of it with out a full wipe.

Don't quote me, but it should work just fine actually what you could do is just delete everything and reflash the files you want to replace, this is how a theme is flashed.
So put the .xml file I need replaced in a zip in the proper folder structure, delete the file from the phone, boot into recovery and flash my zip?
I'll def be making a nandroid first, but thank you so much!
Speaking of nandroid. Does a nandroid capture EVERYTHING (apps, app data, call logs, etc) or just system state?
well what I would do (like you said) place the xml in the correct file structure, and then just delete anything else inside the zip that doesn't need to be flashed.
you shouldn't even have to delete it from the phone.
yes everything on the rom partition.

It also replaced my coredroid boot animation.
And it didn't fix the Model number in phone identity.

I did read elsewhere that this has to be fixed before the initial flash.
Oh well, next time I flash a Rom I'll make sure to change it.

Yeah. I just looked at the default.xml file and it was flashed properly.
Like i said in my edit, I did read that this has to be changed prior to the first flash to take.
Also, I'm kind of digging the Leedroid boot animation, and it fits nicely with the CoreDroid theme.

i will do you a favor. give me your com.htc.framework.jar located in /system/framework/
i will take care of it for you.
if you want to learn how to decompile apks, let me point you to this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695701
more specifically to decompile jar files:
http://mastergenius.net/wordpress/2...le-apk-and-jar-files-for-android-smartphones/
in order to do the non-paginated app drawer, you need to decompile that jar file and edit some smali.... i have the exact lines that need to be modified, and a link to the original thread on it, but i dont think they want it posted here.
Okay. I'll do it tomorrow.

Just remove it. The APK should be in /system /app

Just remove the apk, editing the xml is only if you don't want "Software Updates" coming up in settings. Also editing the xml will require a full wipe for any changes to be made so its easier just to remove the apk.

(Question) How to install blindice on s-on devices?

Hey community?
I have been following this wonderful community for more than a year and had a question regarding how to install Blindice v12 on my desire s with s-on.
I have had cm7 and miui on my device before. It means you can't straight flash through recovery( you have to flash kernel through fastboot). So when I open bindicev12.zip, I see a kernel folder and four different folders named : default, sio, smartass and sweeptowake which have their individual boot.img . So which one should I flash? The default one? Help is really appreciated.
Check the updater script to find hints and identify which boot.img you should flash.
There should be, somewhat close, to "if" clauses.
I haven't installed blindice yet so really just trying to help out, out from common sense.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda app-developers app
Thanks I think the sweeptowake, sio etc are just governers. The default one is cm9. Is is safe though?

You'll never know unless you try. Based on experience, if the rom is on a wrong kernel, it just not boot up. You may end with a boot loop or boot directly to recovery. Those are the signs that your are not on the correct kernel(boot.img).

Cheers. Changed my mind. I am gonna install different ics from vampire36 as blindice is no longer under development.
