Underclock Cm10 - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Is there any underclocking option available in cm10 revolution kernel ?? Can i underclock to 120mhz instead of 300 mhz like in cm9 ??
I want vurrut to make a kernel for cm10 . Please??
Reply guys

Lets wait for further releases of kernels for cm10. As of now, what is there is only what is available. Sorry. Maybe sooner or later. First things first, pray for our kernel 3.x

Recommended kernel for CM9

I'm running the latest CM9 nightly and noticed that the kernel does not give great battery and only runs at 1.2Ghz...
Was wondering if anyone could recommend me a kernel that goes up to at least 1.5Ghz and preferably has a GPU overclock too, that will work with CM9.
Thanks!
You can try Faux´s AOSP Kernel. But i think it´s Faux´s kernel they are using as stock.

Bricked doesn´t have one yet. Dunno about Sebastian..
I tried CM9 and the battery sucks to me as well. After all its at Nightly stages so i just let it be for Beta testers and wait for the Official release.

Looking for a kernel that can oc the gpu and work with a aosp rom

I decided to go with CM9 for the rom and I have to have a aosp rom in order for the sixaxis application to work I want to oc the gpu a little bit but I have not been able to find a kernel that works with an aosp rom and lets you oc the gpu for the sensation any help?

please tell me ASAP... The ROM is ****ingly aweosome!
PATIENCE!
Our phone runs at 667MHz and the kernel in MIUI V4 runs at 1.2 GHz because it is overclocked kernel. If you don't want to mess up your phone by overclocking, flash this rom anyways, but then flash NON-OC kernel. I think G3MOD 2.5 NON-OC should work with it.
If you don't want to overclock your phone, you will notice some (big) lag probably with MIUI.
Kk......

[Q] Marmite Kernel Vs Devil's Kernel

Flashed my Nexus S with CarbonRom(Unofficial) , Now which Kernel is better and why? and can somebody also gimme the links!
Try them all. Different chips, different reactions to custom kernels (no 2 chips are exactly the same).
Here are the kernels. Download and flash the CM version because that is what works for Carbon.
Marmite: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AntDDKv-lS6IdEt6NWVkX01vNmpfbEh4MHo4eDRCbXc#gid=0
-Fastest on stock voltages and stock frequency. Overclocking needs increased voltages.
Devil: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AntDDKv-lS6IdEt6NWVkX01vNmpfbEh4MHo4eDRCbXc#gid=0
-No BLN (Backlight Notification)
Matrix: http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/matr1x/NexusSandNexusS4G/25.0
-Stable when overclocking and stock freq. Needs OC for good 4.2.2 performance.
Air kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21935053&postcount=1
-Incredibly feature rich. May make your device fast or laggy - depends on your kernel settings.
The following kernels are AOSP based. So you flash this first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245651
vta2 kernel: http://www.mediafire.com/?fd2tczcqtguk58f
-Makes your device faster because it's overclocked, but there are bugs. I cannot pin-point the exact bugs i encountered.
Der Kernel: http://goo.gl/QlIoh
-Alpha Build. May or may not be stable.
Between the kernels that I have tried, I really like the devil kernel because it seems to make my Nexus S run a lot better. For overclocking however, I use the AIR kernel.

..hmm.. To each their own, but Devil is my favorite to overclock.. but overvolting is necessary for my phone for better stability.. Devil oc's nicely to 1512mhz..
I could only overclock mine to 1400mhz when i used it and it seemed to make my phone somewhat slower. Maybe i should check the Devil kernel out one more time.
Devil is the best for me aswell, to bad it isn´t supported / improved in the last time .. but hopefully DerTeufel will find some time for that in the future !
Which version (date) of devil are you using? I use novoodoo version from 5.3.13

Same/ with voodoo.. Use devil tools to live oc the kernel to 108% and you'll get the 1512 capability..
Marmite also has MTP support.
Matr1x has it too, but Matr1x for Nexus S isn't developed anymore.

Currently using Devil and BLN actually works fine for me.
To clarify, I am using the 3.0.62 version. No problems at all so far.
I'm running CM10.2 Nightlies, should I change the stock kernel to get better battery life, or should I just stick to it?

My phone handles this frequency with devil's kernel and max voltage (1500mV) but it died unexpectedly after 4 months or so.. So you should go a bit down..

For marmite, devil, matr1x, and air kernels, you don't have to. They have corresponding kernel versions (CM/AOSP) ready for downloading.
Vta2 and Der kernels are AOSP based so you can flash them right away
do not use bigmem kernel on 4.1.2 ..go with 396 - 407mb ram

[Q] CM9 (9.2.2) Overclock [P500]

Why the last version of ics can't be overclocked?I mean,it can with another kernel, but why all devs who release a cm9.2.2 version use default kernel which can't be overclocked (max value) [IcySnap 2.0,NFE 6.0,maybe HardLight 4.0,etc] ? Is the phone actually working better at 600 mhz than 710 + for example? Any answer will be appreciated and please stick to the topic !
Ps* Sorry for wrong section!
As I know they can especially with 3.0.8 kernel
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
The phone actually works better at 600mhz. You can try overclocking with sweetnsour kernel, but you will notice that after overclocking phone runs bit laggy and benchmarks scores also decrease. Maybe its limitation of ICS + 3.0.x kernels.
Overclocking works fine with cm10.1 which has 3.0.8 kernel.
But for games for example, won t them run better with oc?Or I guess you can t have both: a little games performance & smooth ui?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
It was disabled in stock CM9.2.2 kernel by hephappy. You can use custom kernel by sweatnsour or DJNoXD (look at Original Android Development forum) and then you can OC your phone. In my opinion, beta 5 by DJNoXD (also 3.0.x based kernel) is the best.
