Ok, i know its been posted before but i couldnt find anything relevant in search (maybe im searching for the wrong thing?)
I know im not the only person with the "There is no update for your device" problem. I had an update available but like an idiot i forgot to unfreeze some apps and it failed. Now its not showing the update again.
Tried wiping the device, no luck
Tried manually updating to ..26 (was on .26) which would restore all frozen apps, then OTA to JB, no luck
Tried manually updating to .30 to see if it would OTA to JB from there, no luck
Tried downgrading to .26 and use the dlpkgfile method to upgrade to 30 from 26 and OTA from there to JB, still no luck.
Tried rebooting power + volume up and clearing cache, still no updates available.
Am i missing something? Most of the methods that people have said work are not working for me... What do i do next? How do i OTA to JB and maintain root?
Bootloader is still locked. I have root. Im currently on .30 but can downgrade if needed it only takes a few minutes.
Halp?

I just today checked via software update and my P6210 model had a firmware update so I installed it. I have yet to see any changes though.
I unrealisticly was hoping it was ICS, but hopefully it is at least a peroration for ICS.
yes, there is an update, something around 19 mb, device failed to update (tried twice)
any possible reason (may be root)?
it also failed when I tried it at first. Then I followed the instructions and connected it to my computer to have Kies manage the firmware update. Its currently updating and seems to be going fine. I'll report back if it fails.
EDIT: worked like a charm. wonder why it can't do it without kies.
Firmware update took away root, replaced my kernel. garys root still works though, so whatevs.
Ics should be coming soon this year.
I have been anxiously waiting for asus to post the jb firmware (us tf300t). I found it today, but now realize if i flash it manually i lose my root, backed up with voodoo and superSU or not. I then was reading about this dlpkgfile thing. Am i understanding this correctly?
It is the file that gets downloaded from asus when you check for an OTA, or when an OTA is pushed to your device
It then reboots, and uses the file to update the device.
It does not make u lose root?
So theoretically, I should be able to put it in /cache/directory and then`reboot my tab and it should start updating right? I know i need to make sure i get US version, backup root, etc. But will this work how I am thinking it will?
Oh and, I am not sure why my ota failed in the first place, i think i might have uninstalled a system app by accident without thinking. I am just plain rooted stock, NOT unlocked. I had also run the firmware for ics from asus website yesterday to get all the stock stuff back on my tab, then rerooted, and am waiting for JB update now
I have a notification that there's a firmware update but when it proceeds to install it gets stuck for hours with the message "checking the integrity of your firmware file"
I'm on stock JB 4.1.1, unrooted. I tried rebooting but same result. Any ideas?

Have you tried deleting the cached firmware update yet? You could use the manual update process referenced in the relevant sticky thread (you do not need to be rooted or unlocked, nor do you need to have a custom bootloader). Do you have a clue on which update it'd be? (I'm asking because you seem to be on the latest and "greatest", and it might be a small firmware for the camera, and therefore not immediately super-duper-significant).
Hey all, need some advice... I recently rooted my phone and found it wasn't for me (way too many apps stopped working). Because of this I tried to unroot the phone, but got stuck in a boot loop and had to recover from scratch.
Anyways, I'm running stock now and the system is back to being rooted. Problem is, I can't seem to update the phone. I'm not getting an error message either. Both Smart Switch and the phone simply say I'm up to date, but I'm on APB7 when I should be able to get APD3.
Is there anyway to fix this? Will I need to factory reset the phone? I'm not sure how to get the phone to recognize an update now.
Same here. I rooted my phone, installed TWRP but battery drain and apps not working properly made me go back to stock. Now I cant get any updates. I flashed APEQ fw yesterday dated June 8 but still dont get the June 17 updates.
I used Smart Switch to do an Emergency Reinstall of the firmware. Had to start over from scratch with my phone... It installed the lastest firmware though.
Been researching as much as I can online and it seems the consensus is simply unrooting the phone does nothing. You have to factory reboot. Tripping Knox won't stop you from getting updates but an unrooted phone that wasn't factory reset still won't get updates. Fun times. Last time I root my phone... Things aren't the same since I last rooted in Android 4.0. Now too many apps and updates etc. check for root and stop working if they detect it.

Did you use Odin to flash back to stock?

I used the Emergency Recovery function of Smart Switch which, from my understanding, is basically the same thing. I know how to use ODIN but it seemed a better idea to go with the official solution. Guess I'll find out if it worked once the June update is available in Canada.
Hello guys,
Last days my phone has not been playing very nicely with me.
I did a complete wipe (using flashtool and wiped everything).
Then I reflashed latest 32.3.A.2.33 firmware and custom kernel (sunkernel 376_Aigoo_1_6_7) as can be seen on my screenshot.
So right now I am on .33 firmware and everything is fine, except that I keep still getting a notification that a system update is available (which is the same .33 update).
So I downloaded it and tried to install it, but it fails and then again I keep getting notified with this update... while im already on the latest firmware.
Any idea's how I can fix it?
- I've already tried reflashing firmware again 2 times.
- I tried unrooting and installing the update but again it failed.
Sony Xperia Z5 Nougat 32.3.A.2.33 + sunkernel 376_Aigoo_1_6_7
Any suggestions would be appreciated, well accept for flash firmware again, as im tired of that at the moment
Thanks :good:
Delete with Root Explorer the Sony Software Update App in system.
Make first a backup with TT Backup.
Reboot.
Thats what I always do.
