Im sorry in advance if this question was asked i just couldnt find it
I have a Droid razr xt910 on rogers network and stock. The last few months ive noticed when i make a call just when its about to ring
it makes a hissing sound almost like a static sound. It doesnt always do it but id say 50% of the time. Today i was connected to my truck bluetooth and when i disconnected it had that hissing sound non stop and rebooted and it was fine. Is this a common problem with the razr?
Im not sure if its bluetooth related or maybe a firmware issue. It might of started when it went from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 and then ics it continued but this could just be coincidence. If anyone has any ideas i could try that would be much appreciated.

I have an ATT Fuze and there is no sound coming from my speaker. There is no sound at all on the phone. when i receive phone calls i cannot hear the person. I cannot hear any music also. i solved this the first time with a hard reset but after one day of usage, the same problem happened again.
Is there anyway to fix this or is this a problem with my phone only?
My Tilt did this occasionally while running custom ROM's, hasn't happened on my Fuze.
When it happened on the Tilt I noticed that the sound, both system and ringer, would randomly be turned all the way off. This made no sound come out of the device. Seemed to only do this after having the device paired to my Bluetooth car stereo. When I would turn off the car and get out, that's when it would do it.
I just kept flashing ROMs until it didn't do it anymore. Hope this helps a little
There is already a post on this matter on the forum ("Intermittent sound problems")
So far I sent it 3 times for repairs for this reason
This may be an hardware issue.
I've read that some people resolved this issue with a new replacement.
What radio and ROM do you have?
Anyone else experiencing this in Qik? Tried over wifi and 3G, downloaded all updates. The volume is very low. Does this happen to anyone else?
OMG yes! I thought I was the only one? It's too damn hard to hear who I'm talking to. The person even asked me why I would bring the phone up to my ear every time he spoke. I hope an update can fix this.
I experienced the same thing using Tango. Tried doing a test chat with my friend on his iphone. He kept asking me to repeat myself and said the volume was low. I could hear him fine.
So, just to see, I tried it with the headphones and mic... MUCH better, he could hear me fine.
At first I thought it was the case maybe getting in the way, but taking it off didn't help at all.
Not sure what to make of it... hopefully, it is just some software problem and nothing major.
This is my first post BTW... After leaving the iphone a couple of months ago I have tried 3 Samsung Captivates (Galaxy S), 2 G2's, and 2 MT4G's... I think I finally got a keeper. This thing is redonkulous!

same - tried over data and wifi. However... girlfriend used headphones and no headphones, and iphone head phones... could barely hear here. it would cut in and out sometimes too... she couldn't hear me half the time either... helllppppp this is why we bought this stupid phone!
i had the same problem today, i hope it's just a matter of an update, other than that this phone is awesome! i can't believe i got a MyTouch after having a g1, i thought i'd be a loyal vanilla user but this phone was too sweet to pass up
lol @2071. Yea I'm about to get it Tomorrow coming from a g1. I wish this was vanilla, or i can at least root
Double check that your call is going through the speakerphone. Is it possible that the video call audio is defaulting to the earpiece? I wonder because if it sounds normal using headphones then there's probably nothing wrong. Just a guess.
The other side they can hear me perfectly. Its just my ability to hear them. During the call, if I push the volume keys, the volume meter comes up on the phone as "media volume." Also, if I make a regular non-video call and put it on speaker, the speaker is LOUD. So its just confined to video calls..... Also, other media (music) is LOUD.
Ya I have also tried Tango and its the same low volume on The network or my wifi. I haven't tried headphones yet though.
from Snugs hTc ViSiON
I can confirm low volume as well. Seems to work way better with headphones in for both sides.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Alright, well make sure you all call in to tmo tech support so this becomes a known issue quickly!
im not experiencing low volume... what i am experiencing is when talking to my friend, I had to switch the mic on and off each time I wanted to talk and hear him.. kinda like a 2 way radio
I found this on phandroid to explain what I'm talking about, hopefully an update fixes this or I will have to send it back to Htc.http://androidforums.com/htc-sensation-4g/375199-white-noise-bluetooth-htc-sensation-4g.html
I have the issue as well.
This thread also describes a sort of similar or related problem.
Ok I see it's not just me.Hopefully it can be fixed with an update, hell I bought a new bluetooth because I thought it couldn't be the phone.

I also baught a new Bluetooth headset, a Plantronics M100 with dual mics!!, thinking it'll solve it. The noise is less, but is still there. My HD2 & Desire S when connected to the same Bluetooth headsets have no noise at all.
i have this very anoying same issue.
is there any way to fix it?
I'm using a Samsung and it works good with the sensation no background noise but if I move the phone or my head too fast I lose signal for a second
has anyone figured a fix for this , i too have the white noise when i use my bluetooth on my aftermarker stereo, i used to use this all the time with my vibrant and had no problems but ever since i got this sensation the caller on the other end complains that its horrible
bringing it back
I have this problem also. Still unresolved?
I have the exact same problem. Hoped an update to ICS would solve the problem, but it didn't.
My HD2 and DesireHD do not have this problem with my Volvo.
I thought it started after the first time I used my phone as MP3 player and putting the earplug in. That's the first time Beats Audio is activated I believe.
I'm guessing that's were the problem lies (but this was already back in November).
It might also be an app that I installed . . . can anyone trace something back to when it started being bad?
Hello Everyone,
I have been using HTC Sensation for a good 3 months and no problem at all so far. The phone is rooed and uisng Insertcoin 2.4.1 Rom. 3 days ago while in a call, the sound faded away and since then there is some times sound coming from the ear piece sometimes not. Even the call starts succesfully loud and suddenly sound disappears. I have tried everything i know, reflashing, trying another Rom, formatting the SD card and not installing any software etc...During the call, i can communicate if i turn the speaker on or plug in the earphones. I belive that there is a bug that commands the phone to shut the earpiece and divert the sound either to speaker or the earphones.
Anyone ever has/had this kind of problem?
Thanks in advance!
Gokhan
I have the same problem with my s2, any solution?

Im having the same Problem, but i observed that the sound doesn't come back randomly, the earpiece speaker seems to shutdown a while after the display gets turned off due to the proximity sensor. I tried different ROMs, and got the same result, i guess it's a hardware problem. Would you tell me, if you get the exact same Problem, meaning you check if sound disappears when you're having it close to the head?
Thank you
I'm wondering if anyone else experiences this & if there is a possible fix. I recently upgraded from an ATRIX to an ATRIX 2. When I am on a call on the new ATRIX 2 & another call comes in it is nearly impossible to hear the call waiting tone unless I happen to be in a very quiet room. It is so faint that I've missed many important phone calls b/c I was already on a call & did not know about the call waiting until I hung up & saw the missed call notification. I did not have the same problem with my original ATRIX. Has anyone else experienced this or is it possibly a problem with my phone? I also notice the speaker phone isn't as loud as the original ATRIX & although that is a bit annoying I can deal with that.
