OTA OEM Jelly Bean update - Android General

Just received the OTA Acer OEM Jelly Bean 4.0.3 update for my iconia A100. Updated from Honeycomb 3.2.1 in 5 separate updates. Runs very smooth & stable.

Cool story bro... Um okay. Gratz on the update, maybe post this stuff in your device's forum instead?

Yeah cool story. Too bad 4.0.3 is Ice Cream Sandwich and not Jelly Bean. You got a long way to go to catch up.

Will CM abandon ICS for Jelly Bean?

Think there's any chance that the Cyanogen team will abandon their dev work on ICS for the Sensation in favor of Jelly Bean (like they did with Gingerbread when ICS came along)?

do we get the 4.1 camera with the jelly bean update?

I see the amazing work being done on the camera (oneXed).. And it is huge. Look at the before and after videos especially.
Being I likely won't ever be able to run that apk myself, do we get it on the jelly bean update, whenever we get that..?
Please elaborate more....
I think you're a bit confused.
The 4.1 camera is SENSE 4.1 camera, not JELLY BEAN 4.1 camera..
Btw, is u have 4.1 sense rom, u can flash the file attached and have that camera on your phone

Elaboration:
I want this on my phone:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1765416&page=41
But I don't have root, so I cannot simply flash it to my phone.
they say jelly bean is coming to the one xl.
m.engadget.com/2012/07/20/htc-confirms-jelly-bean-for-one-x-one-xl-and-one-s/
Will I get this camera (oneXed) with the next ota update, being I won't be able to root? (2.20)
Metal head where are you? Respond please. Or gunny, or 18.
The answer to your question is how the heck should we know?
If we ever get a Jellybean ROM leak we'll know.

[APP] New Jelly Bean 4.2 Launcher!

Will this 4.2 madness never end... anyway..
Thanks to TheDarkDefender
I found this over here
Works as it should, looks no different from earlier standard Android launcher versions, but according to the original thread it has stability improvements and does seem quite snappy!

You seem to have forgotten the fact we have Jellybean roms for the rooted phones.
Not for all

AFAIK, it is possible to update from ICS itself.
CM10 is an unofficial JB release actually apart from the stock.
Coz we have some unofficial CM9 or CM10 release for some models which don't have official ICS or JB..
So it is really possible to update from ICS to CM10 (JB) if your mobile model really has a CM10 release
Hit thanks rather than typing it

What device are you using? yes you can flash CM (CyanogenMod) 10 or 10.1 to your device running with ICS (ice cream sandwich) my device is Xperia Mini st15i and i'm running CM10.1 JB 4.2.2 by mikeioannina
Sorry to bump an old thread admins but I DID try flashing but it failed. (Maybe its because i used titanium backup)

What did you do when you used titanium backup?it only restores apps and datas that could be compatible with your rom but may not affect installing roms..btw you said you tried flash it..you mean the cm10 or 10.1? When i flash those roms i didn't face failures unless the file is broken and redonwload it and followed what the dev instructs us to do and follow..if failure comes up you can ask questions in the thread.
