Hey so I've been using CM10 lately on my HTC One S from FIDO, currently running cm-10-20121001-EXPERIMENTAL-ville and it's running great. I've been constantly updating from nightly to nightly and haven't found any problems, so koodos to all the developers.
One thing I'd like to figure out is how/if I can get 4G working on my phone again. Is there a radio.zip that I should flash to my phone that could possibly enable this?
Tried looking up some other posts but none really had to do with the fido/rogers network.
Any advice?
Did you get any anwser? or figured it out?

I'd like to know if you figured it out. I even tried taking the radio files from the latest OTA rogers RUU I found on the forum. No dice. Still just stays EDGE only... I'm wondering if Fido put some kinda lockout on the phone once they see I unlocked the CID?

rumors were they were going to push it out end of december 2010, anything yet?
samsungmobileca twitter says the OS is currently being tested for rogers, but no word on any actual release date.
You wont get it.

Captivates don't have any sd card issues, just the bell vibrant. Rogers did say in the first half of 2011 you'll get the update, were just 4 days in though so keep waiting.

The problems were with their ****ty Kies app. I built Assonance on top of that firmware and not a single person had an SD-card blowup in the thread.
Will it be made into an Odin when it comes out?

Can we flash it back to stock ROM though? I remember there was talk here about the stock ROM and how we can't flash it back to stock or something, but that was a couple months ago... and I've started to lose track of things here.
Edit: Hmm... Looks like I found a thread on how to get back to the Rogers ROM.

They also said Froyo was to be released in mid-December of 2010. Phone release was also massively delayed.

i believe it was infact the kernel that caused the issues, did you build the kernel from bell sources?
DG pulled perception 9 which was not even i9000m based but i think the kernel he built was. perception 9 was rereleased as 9.5 with a different kernel. there were users on that thread reporting sd card problems but very few, still risky. that said the telus rom didnt cause any problems and neither did the i9000 international so i think the captivate is safe. as the software is ready you guys might even beat att to the punch this time! if you get hsupa enabled this time ill definitely flash a rogers rom.
Ignore this message because of a double posting.

I was able to get mine to stock Rogers ROM but I dont know if its able to get EXACTLY like how rogers has. Mine looks like the rogers one but I think it was made off the AT&T one because it has their logo on the bootup and its not JF6 (mine says JI2 unless thats how it is on a stock Rogers I didnt check before I did flashing), I was able to get rid of the AT&T logo but that still bugs me unless someone can confirm this for me.
Yeah. You can get the Rogers stock files somewhere on the forums and just flash it all using Heimdall. Thats what I did after Odin bricked my phone twice ;D. Also, no Froyo yet. Don't expect it any time soon - this IS Rogers we're dealing with.

It isn't Kies that was the issue. This was happening to people well before the 2.2 update and at random times. My girlfriend's Vibrant has gone twice now. Once just randomly force closing everything and then dying while on 2.1, the second one which came from Samsung with 2.2 on it also did the same thing. She is now waiting for phone #3. Hardware has to be a factor.
speaking of which.. rogers/samsung has started pushing froyo 2.2 lol.. finally.. you'll need a kies update http://www.samsungapps.com/about/onPc.as

Really? That's weird, I've got the latest Kies but "Update Firmware" is still grayed out.
I'm running the latest Cyanogen and cannot get 4g to save my life. I tried the *#*#info#*#* settings but nothing. I don't have the cdma+lte option like she does tho. I changed my ROM and wiped but nothing. My wifes stock TV gets 4g fine but i'm stuck in 3g
Any help?
sometimes on cm and aosp roms, instead of lte, it would be listed as other. usually a soft reset would get 4g back though. Might want to try the stock rom, rooted and see if you are still having troubles. Your sim might be on the fritz.

Thanks guys. I'm downloading a stock ROM now, but how do I tell the radio? I believe its MR 2.5 but I forget. 4g worked before, but doesn't now. Not sure what I did. Under info I don't have other, but I've unknown. Still doesn't work with that.
Eh, bad stock ROM I came across, but I installed liquid now I've 4g. So could it be just a cm problem?
Double post.
Hi everyone.
I've bought my Motorola Xoom 3G 32GB from the internet and it came with the "international" firmware.
3G used to work all fine with any carrier I try until I flashed Tiamat ROM for all the advantages it supplies.
It just can't find a carrier (which is probably US Verizon).
Is there any way I can regain my 3G back?
Well its been a couple days. Has the 3g kicked in yet by itself?
I went ahead and unlocked my zoom yesterday and when it booted back up I didn't have 4g service kinda like you.
I tried finding some APN settings but the xoom wont let me edit them anyways. By the end of the night I went back to try and fix it again and I noticed it had connected again by itself.
I would try calling the carrier you prefer and get them to reset the APN. Moto might do it if you leave out the rooting part.
If its like phones it might be a case of flashing the multiCSC. Because on my old captivate the multicsc was the international unlock you described.

Well, I'm in this state for moths and still didn't regain my 3G back.
And, is there any way I can re-flash the files which determine the carrier alone?
Or alternatively, isn't there a way to manually compile Tiamat ROM with the international build files for universal support?
well you could go back to stock and that should work to get 3g-
I really like this ROM and don't want to go back to original.
That's why I'm asking for solutions '{: (

Look in the Development Section. TeamEos ICS Nightly is now available for 3G/4G...not sure if it supports international 3G yet, but they're working on it. The ICS rom, while still in alpha/beta stage (missing binaries for cameras) is stable and smooth and has tons of functionality.
Thanks okantomi!
I hope this ends my dilemma (fingers crossed).

Hey everyone! I'm having a little trouble.. My phone, no matter what always reverts back to GSM/WCDMA auto mode even after changing to the LTE APN and switching modes. any help is appreciated. 1.85 radio
Try pulling sim out, start phone change it to what you want, and replace sim.

thanks.. will try
well, I tried it and I tried flashing the stock radio as well, but nothing worked. earlier today I was getting aldi almost everywhere and now I'm not
I thought changing that setting doesn't work for our phones? If it did we wouldn't need an lte toggle.

Have you Tryed removing all apns except the lte one?
I flashed a Rom and had the same issue flashed to a new Rom based off stock and that was the only apn listed and voila it worked so I wonder if that is why?

So I have upgraded my Nexus S i9020a (AT&T) with ROM from the google dev site....
(I cannot post links yet)
developers.google.com -> android/nexus/images
I installed the JRO03E base OS from the T-Mobile / Global version (sojujro03e)
and just the radio from (sojuajro03e)
For the most part things are working fine but it does seem to crash on me while on calls a couple times a day (which is like and 1/4 of the time) so far.
I guessing this crashing is due to my mixing of roms but I figured I would ask if
1) Has anyone else tried this and what is their experience?
2) Is anyone seeing crashing with the sojuajro03e or sojujro03e as is?

You installed the T-Mobile/9023 version for AT&T? Maybe that's your problem. You need to flash sojua for AT&T as far as I know.
I have a 9020 on AT&T and I installed it a week or so ago... been running great.
Thanks for the info

Thanks for the info yes I can go back to that to a the pure AT&T rom. I am just saying there may or may not be some benefits to having a rom that does not call back to AT&T so they can double charge you for the same data you already pay them for.
4.1.1 performance on I9020a?

Just curious here.....what are you talking about?!?!? If you have the 9020A then you need the 9020A ROM. Plain and simple. Double data? Do explain....
