Sprint has a Jelly Bean TouchWiz leak - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1910947
I think this is the first CDMA JB leak for the S3. I hope we get one for Verizon and finally a stable JB rom, but knowing VZW it probably will take a long time.

You're late to the party.
Sent from my Cocaine White S3.

thanks for trying to help the devs!
but they had it a few days ago

Ha, I knew I was late Still, I wanted to know any news about a VZW version.

I wish Verizon would just realize that their bloatware is just pointless...redundant.

I've been using codenameandroid for the past 5 days, nothing like AOSP JB
And that relates to this thread because its all the jellybean goodness you could possibly want, without any crapware

well not really because we are waiting for touchwiz jellybean leak and im assuming that since everyone is probably rooted and unlocked if we wanted asop jb we could of had it by now.........

I was more or less saying that if somebody wanted to try out jelly bean there's the AOSP route and also the Jellywiz rom which is basically flawless except for a few minor things. But i understand that waiting for the verizon leak is agonizing, believe me i'm waiting for it to drop as well.

That's kind of a stupid statement,***mod edited***... The ICS releases that are out now are just like stock AT&T ota ics... Do you think they're going to change the rom completely or give us aosp ota??? The releases that we have are as close to stock as they are gonna get, only thing they're doing now is getting bugs out or adding apps from the carriers that they want... Have you tried all of the ICS roms out there? I've been running seanz ucle2 ics release rom and I've had absolutely no problems... As long as you read/follow the instructions completely everything should be fine... And thinking about this, the skyrocket is from AT&T not from google so we're never going to get stock ICS ota... OTA releases are not gonna be like aosp, aokp or cm9...
No no no I'm not a dev guys OK I ported the rom and the last release I only helped a bit I been busy on a few projects for the skyrocket community lol but to say the hard work and dedication that actual devs have put in is beneath you is a statement that I can not condone and actually is an insult to this site the roms in the dev section are far beyond what anything Samsung will ever do (/rant)

it only works on jellywiz and tasteofbeans...im sure somebody willing to put in the time can make it work on touchwiz ics, but i see no point really since we should be on official jelly bean next month.

You think the ota will happen in October? I would love that but have little faith in verizon. The nexus still does not have jelly bean.... Which is completely ridiculous.

Just switched from ios to droid

Hey everybody I just switched to DROID from using ios the past 4 years and I'm really happy with my choice. The iPhone 5 was the last straw for me so instead I picked up a feature packed galaxy siii. I want to thank you guys for the tutorials you guys have posted as it really helped in understanding how to flash the custom roms. I have my siii set just how I want. I just have one question if someone doesn't mind answering. When the official jellybean update comes out will I need to revert back to stock rom to update or can I update ota on a custom rom? Please excuse me if I didn't post this in the right section. This is my first post. Thanks for all your hard work.
I believe you would have to revert to stock and then do the ota.

Just wait for one of the Devs to do their magic on Jelly bean when it comes out. I'm sure it wont take them to long to do.
Congrats! Btw, if you're already running a custom rom, then you should probably just wait until the developer updates it, or install a new JellyBean rom when you're ready.

Take it easy on me lol
It kinda depends on how long you are willing to wait for the update. You definitely won't be able to accept the OTA update if you are running a custom rom, but devs will have a flashable version on XDA available almost immediately after the official is released. A couple of days later custom roms will start appearing.
Another reason to wait is there is always the possibility that the update will in some way disable root. This has happened before with several VRZ phones. So I would wait(a couple of hrs) till XDA gets their hands on the update before making any moves.

wait for a dev to release the official TouchWiz JB, then wipe data from cwm recovery and flash away. Fyi there currently is a TouchWiz JB leak by Incubus in the dev section, but its has bugs...If your looking for stability; Touchwiz ICS>AOSP(paranoidandroid,aokp,cm10)>Touchwiz JB Leak
And to help you, Synergy is a very stable ICS touchwiz ROM. Paranoid is a very great ROM but it might be a bit confusing for you since you're new with the tablet mod n tweaking APKs and such. CM10 is good but I like AOKP better for the customization

Nitro dont release builds based on a leaks...so until we get a official Touchwiz JB rom from VZW I doubt he will release anything!
Welcome to the Android community!
There are lots of good ROM choices and Jelly bean is available as a teaser if you'd like to check it out
My favorite ICS ROM is Synergy
My favorite JB ROM is Jellywiz
Enjoy and happy flashing !!!
You can make a nandroid backup of your current setup which saves everything, all your data/games. and try one of the current JB roms. I am currently on ICS cleanrom, and been thinking about waiting for a 100% working one to come around. The nandroid backup is so you can easily go back to your old setup if you don't like the newer rom.

He's working on an aosp JB build, has a working alpha right now, but until he gets his device this week, he can't work out the bugs quickly. You will see eclipse...I'm guessing pretty quickly after he gets his phone
He will have a TW Rom out...but I'm sure he will wait for the official JB build for that.

I second that!! Cleanrom is a GREAT first rom and it gives you a chance to mess with overclocking a lil too... Just go in SMALL steps... Although mine is a champ at 1.99ghz & stable as hell! You will finally feel the freedom that you get with Android! OPEN SOURCE baby!! No more damn itunes and buying stuff that isn't really yours..? Have a GREAT time surfing the threads but just take some time to read the rules as well cause they are quick to break you off some! (mods) LOL

Jelly bean

Dis anybody think we will get 4.2 jb since we were told we would get jb and technically it's still jb?
If your rooted yes for sure.
Like stated above rooted yes from VzW or Samsung I'm not counting on it. I want the sphere photo option though!

Since its still jelly bean probably not very long. Just gotta wait for source to be released
Either way I'm pretty excited. Since I got my s3 I actually enjoy touchwiz (hated it before) and try to stick to tw roms. I would definitely be ok with an AOKP or cm rom for 4.2 though!

Will there ever be a Touch Wiz 5.0 rom?

I was just wondering will there every be a rom based solely on samsung's UI. Like for instance, a rom build on the sg3 build. I like the roms that are out but like all of the have some sort of cm9 (or 10) or AOKP intergration. I would like to see a rom with just samsung's UI (mainly TW 5.0) that is tweaked and just pure awesome.
Embryo is a TW-Only ROM.
If you mean a TouchWiz JellyBean ROM, probably not until we get an official JB release or a JB leak for our phone.

Ya, closest thing you'll get to JB TW is Sky JellyBean. Lot of TW elements with CM10 as the base.
I was just about to ask this. I know we have SkyJB With touchwiz added on top of JB
and Embryo. Both are great roms. But nothing like that stock 4.0 on the sgs3 I was playing around with that bad boy and "i was like if we could get this on our skyrockets there wouldn't be a need to get another phone"
