Hey guys,
I tripped over a loose paving stone and dropped my O3D..
It's completely shattered and the touchscreen is not responding..
So what would be my next phone?
I was thinking about getting a LG Optimus 4X HD, cause it is not too expensive on contract (In The Netherlands), but the Samsung Galaxy Note (N7000) is also kinda cheap on contract so which one should i get? Is the SGS Note still worth buying after almost a year? What do you guys suggest..
cheers
ill say you what i WOULD NOT buy..... LG never again

Galaxy Nexus i9250 instead of Galaxy Note if you don't need a 8 mp camera and a >5'' screen.

if you got your inspire for the same reason i got mine , most bang for the buck, sure the Attrix was better but cost more.. No one regrets not getting the attrix.. Now comes the next deal. and at a penny for the refurb. The Vivid with ICS is now available for as 1cent 69, 99 depending on where you go, right now ATT website has the white for one penny. I have 2 other lines with upgrades available, So when the oneXL or better phone comes out i can up one of those lines.. but ICS is soo sweet i couldnt wait
Good deal for a dual1.2ghz, 1gb ram phone. I wish the inspire had those specs.
My Atrix destroys my Inspire when it comes to speed. That Nvidia Tegra 2 chip flys.

hell yeah and for like 15 bucks you can get the MHL micro usb to hdmi adapter, the one thing i wish they would have done for the inspire.. DLNA is not all that easy to deal with.
if a dev community is important to you I wouldn't get a Vivid, many of their devs have left recently. But if not its a great deal, the best HTC phone on AT&T next to the upcoming One series

I have 2 other lines on my account that can be upgraded anytime.. I just seen that 1 penny deal and had to jump.. that deal lasted less than 24 hours. I think a bloatware free phone would be enough for me. To bad the VIVID didnt get released earlier .. the specs are great.. the HDMI out is something i wished the Inspire had.. Im not totally sold on the ONE-X there are some other phones with quads, I'm waiting on 2 gigs of ram, Looking forward to Ubuntu app.. heard it runs great on the VIVID with just one gig.. I think would like to see a dual boot on a phone with windows8.. run desktop photoshop or illustrator, without remote desktop.. its heading that way..these phones are better than the PC I had years back that I ran CS2
Just got my Vivid (upgrade from Inspire)
My Inspire had gotten a little wonky with all the different ROMs I threw at it, etc. Had a hardware issue or two as well (random reboots, touchscreen sometimes mis-calibrated, etc). I loved that phone, but yesterday I picked up a Vivid.
It's pretty nice.
Wish there was a ROM from the Collective I could put on it, I hate Sense- overall though I can't complain about it in the slightest.
The screen is pretty awesome as well, very bright and easy to read. The internal speaker blows though.
How is this tablet for 11k INR guys?

If 15K is your budget I would say push 1k more and buy Auxus CoreX4 that is one hell of a config that you can get for 16K
check the comparison on ebay India it beats Ipad 2 and Note 10.1 in some aspects only drawback is camera and one doesn't buy a tablet for camera
CoreX4 doesn't have good resolution. 1024 x 768 would look pathetic on 10.1'' screen.

Just to update you its 9.6" and if you are misinformed then you might need to check the resolution on Ipad 2
The iPad 2 features an Apple A5 SoC, which comprises both the CPU, 512MB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX543MP2.[1][37] Other features include front and rear cameras, a three-axis gyroscope, headset controls, proximity and ambient light sensors, microphone, magnetometer, accelerometer and a 9.7 inch multi-touch screen with a maximum resolution of 1024×768 hence resulting in 132ppi.
help me i got corex2 3g and its stuttering in every game
Problems in iberry corex2
I strongly recommend don't buy this tablet. I bought used it for one week, faced various problems. Listed the problems and raised a ticket, after continuously calling customer care finally they agreed to take it for service. They collected it, kept it with them for 10days and returned without fixing a single issue.
I'm going to write a detailed review on the problems with this tablet on my blogs and post a link link soon.
Hello, so i am thinking of buying OnePlus One in May or June.
Do you think that the price will fall down then, and this is my device history:
- Few Crappy Nokia Phones - Died because i broke them...
- A Crappy SONY Phone w/o touch screen - Broke it too... -- It didn't live 1 week....
- Nokia C7-00 - Water Damage -- It lived for 1 year...
- E400 (LG Optimus L3) - Broke the screen.... -- It had a good run since 2012....
- Another C7-00 - It lives....
- Marvel (HTC Wildfire S) - Touch doesn't work because i broke the screen 1 day before new year.....
So do you think that i should buy OnePlus One, and will it survive 2 years in my hands, or should i buy Nokia 3310?
Thanks for answering!!!

Usually I'm very careful with my smartphone, but the Oneplus fell down two times on the asphalt.. and it still work flawless. Apart from some scratch on the shell. So definitely YES!
if durability is your concern .. you can buy moto x force..
It's a great phone, but i think better go for the new version Oneplus 2 or X.
Tecleado desde mi 1+1.

Oneplus One is still a great phone and with CM support its fantastic. I say yes definitely buy it. If you opt to go for Oneplus 2 or X you will be stuck with a closed source OS for the most part and getting official CM support may take a long time or it may never happen

I love my OPO. if you're concerned about drops, get yourself a TPU case. I've also put a tempered glass on it. Been using SultanXDA marshmallow ROM for about six weeks. I don't think prices will come down more as they've already reduced the price once. There is a chance they will run out of stock by May. Good luck with your decision.

I have just in December bought a OPO as a replacement phone after I broke my previous handset. I have to say I went for the OPO as I got it cheap on eBay second hand and I absolutely love it! Although it was originally released in 2014 it is still a great phone with high specs and with the Cyanogen OS it's fantastic! I am really glad I bought this and would highly recommend the OPO based on my own recent experience.

What's your budget out of curiosity and your preference on new or used? Stateside or elsewhere? Oneplus one is a great phone nonetheless

Looks like there's new stories and a lawsuit over S7e's exploding from battery issues. Maybe a recall will be coming.

I don't know if that's really what happen. These phones been out 6 months with not one exploding battery. All until the Note 7 battery recall and now somebody claims that their s7 edge blew up. My gut tells me that guy was just trying to cash out.

These kinds of threads keep popping up.

The Note 7 has a large amount of devices catching fire/exploding (~90 in just the US alone) over a very short period of time, and they found a clear, traceable defect in batteries coming from one supplier. The situation with the S7E is nothing like that after several months on the market and millions more sold. Seriously, there is nothing noteworthy here.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/...-may-have-galaxy-7-edge-problem-too/90375218/
Oh, I think something is noteworthy here. My GF's friend is getting a new S7e from Sammy for a battery recall.
Maybe they will learn that it's a good idea to have a removable battery.

Judging by the amount of S7 devices and iphones being sold, I'm pretty sure nobody cares about a removable battery.

When those are the two best phones on the market (The third being the Nexus/Pixel line)...there really isn't a choice.
I wouldn't say that no one cares about the removable battery, I'd say the manufacturers have made it so that we just don't have the option and have to make our decisions based on other factors.

You're right...I was thinking the same thing...people are doing some janky **** to get refund
Not even two months after i received my S7 edge, my screen developed a green line on the right side of the screen. And the battery was heating up, and the phone was getting really hot. I took it to a Samsung service center, and they replaced the screen, and battery.

I bought Galaxy Tab S7 FE from a third-party seller on Amazon. A week after using it, it got remotely locked. I contacted Samsung and it turns out that the original seller did not complete their trade-in deal and so my device is considered stolen goods. They also wouldn't allow me to pay for the rest of the device to get it unlocked. I managed to get a full refund from Amazon, however, I'm left with a bricked device. Any help?

I just ordered one and will be completing the trade in but have read horror stories about this issue. Apparently they'll do this if your trade in isn't eligible also. Absolutely insane. Will be watching this thread for updates.
