FTW!!! lol
Before everyone asks the rom is only going to flyers00 for testing and one member of the exhilarate forum to see how much it works for them and that way i can modify the source accordingly when building cm9 for both phones ...saves me the hassle...other than that im not looking for testers sorry...just informing that when we get official tmobile source i have a kernel that will work for cm9 and it's variations . Plus to be honest having source is easier to update cm9 bug fixes they do and i will make it available for anyone who wants to help me out or that wants to build your own cm9 from my source i will give you step by step procedure ;D
So yesterday I was talking about it in #teamfah-q to dwitherell and 2vivid about a test kernel using the ics kernel source from i577
but use the rom of the s2 to test the kernel to see if it'll boot cm9 for us and after hours of hard work(most of it was to look for a place to download and play with the source lol) i got a rom made and thanks to the amazing flyers00(teammate and friend) he tested my rom and bam cm9 booted...with two issues the wifi wasn't working(my fault didn't include the module should work now though) and the camera because the s2 uses different drivers so...even though this cm9 is fully working except for camera i'm hesistant on releasing it because of the camera and would rather build it from source using the blaze proprietary things and have a working camera....
anywho here are some screenies of cm9 provided by mr flyers00 himself...
Btw anak1n is my computer name lol that's why it says that in my kernels
This is great. been waiting for something vanilla. Hope you post something. Great job!

no biggie on the cam
I know that with cm7 people were against using it cause of the camera (me being one of em)... but I don't care about the cam anymore... I want it I do however use wifi calling all of the time which is why I'm not using the currently released ics.
If you need a tester or anything I would like to help out.

it doesn't lol no cm9 roms from cm have it but with the new ims service we should be able to add it from source
Ha! Good luck there. The ims open-source stack is the biggest "went isn't anyone working on that" items in the whole of the T-Mobile cm universe

Bump ...
Because just built from source using i577 kernel and we got cm9 with camera working it's upside down but doesn't matter cus tomorrow we get our source and we'll have a full cm9 well assuming my wifi issue isn't a big one lol

Description:
I spent much time learning C to realize that.
Currently, only the UI works and the features needs to be reintegrated.
The goal is to get a bootmenu with an better and (in future) touch operated UI.
Everything is Android4-oriented and this fits the needs of a bootmenu really good!
Currently I have problems with the font which doesn't looks very well.
Maybe someone which has knowledge with bitmap-fonts can help me with this problem
Changelog:
Code:
[B]2012-06-18:[/B]
- initial release
Download:
You can Download touchbootmenu in combination with multiboot from here:

Lolzzzz Cant stop laughing !!!! sometimes its nice to laugh on these forums lol !!!!
m11kkaa!!
as long as it's bug free and it does what it does, I don't think anyone would complain about the fonts!
can you post the zips so we could test it?
As I already wrote in the OP it's not ready for usage yet.
It's just the UI which works. I'll keep you updated.
Definitely going in a very good direction..
Touch Recovery; touch bootmenu its amazing whats going on here!
Just want to let you know, that there's still much progress with this project
Touch is working and the future-plans are that this mod will replace multiboot completely.
Here is the github-repo: https://github.com/M1cha/android_external_bootmenu
Thanks for sharing. I assume the bootmenu can not be compiled without a cyanogen branch (e.g. Quarx's or Epsylon3's CM7/9 branch). Am I right?
That's right but maybe I can make a flashable zip which let's you start new bootmenu via 2nd-boot/2nd-system just for testing/preview-purposes.
But this would kill multiboot.
That will be perfect. I will gladly test it. Atm I don't have enough space to download and compile the entire cm repository.

WooHoo!!! I going to compile a build later with this after i finish trying to port gummy rom ..... M11kkaa Thanks for your work and making this possible luckily i don't use multiboot since i don't have enough memory on my SD card
So, here it is. A precompiled test-version of the new bootmenu.
It updates your bootmenu(to 1.8.8) and installs TouchBootmenu as 2nd-System.
The update-package is based on the one from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24573782&postcount=605
Happy testing!
PS: added new Screenshot to first post
ive the commit rights for bootmenu cyanogenmod branch, and only the defy officially use it in cm devices.... some others unofficially (moto devices only i think)
I will check your commits to see if i can merge them

AcidGummy
Unsupported by Team Acid Edition
I managed to get Gummy to build from source using the CM9 ICS tree. I wanted to prove I could do it, and here's the proof.
Again, I built this from source, so it's got the latest gummy/aosp/Team Acid code.
I'm going to hand this project off to Thomas.Raines once I figure out the best way of setting up the repo for him. It'll be easier for him since he can grab all the Team Acid fixes.
What I've tested and doesn't work:
Incoming phone calls
Home button
Superuser doesn't work with Titanium Backup
Other things I didn't feel like testing

You will not get support from me for this rom.
That is all. Enjoy.
Amazing work fb
First aokp and now this
Nice work fb...
However, I will not take any responsibility for this ROM. I busted my ass just to port it and when you suggested to build this from source and I agree, I thought I would build it with help from you. I had no idea you had plans to do it yourself and then try to hand it off to me.

Hop on IRC later. I'm gonna tell you how to get your source set up. I still need to commit all my changes and figure out which changes I don't actually need to get the source built. This rom still needs a lot of work but I think it'll be easier once you get the source for it. Like I said though, I'm not interesting in doing support for this rom.
Okay build #2 is up. This was built using the repo set up by acidify to verify that it works fine. I didn't feel like testing it so flash it if you dare. This is likely the last Gummy build you'll see from me.
This has all the latest Team Acid kernel and device tree changes that bhundven, m4xm4n, jt1134 and I have commited since the last build (July 7). You can check the github commits here:

Hey FB, I go thtis now... I'll be posting an update after I get finished testing very soon... Thanks for the repo and help!

Hello, guys. This is a MIUI port from HTC Desire that was published on 4PDA long ago, so I couldn't find its author.
I deodexed it, changed the kernel (from latest CM7 for Explorer), made some changes in build.prop. Also, I put some libs from CM7, so it works a bit more stable.
What's working:
3G
Market
Brightness
50/50 HW accel (sometimes interface is glitching)
Not working
Accelerometer
Bluetooth
Wi-Fi
Audio
GPS
etc
I know that Explorer devs are working mostly on CM branch (and probably didn't finish any of them), but I think that MIUI is also a good deal to port.
I'm not good at porting, just a beginner. So I created this thread to find devs that are really interested in porting MIUI. You're welcome, guys.
P.S. Sorry, no sreenshots.

Also, ported MIUI on CM9. It boots, but stucks on bootanimation. http://yadi.sk/d/uqKQVLHqLgEV
Good idea, I'm waiting for cm7/9 to be fully funcktional and then i'm gonna try this > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777999 .
But that's gonna happen only when, cm 7/9 is fine, before that, for me it's kind'a usless to make a rom.
I think that starting this from now will allow to finish it just in time with cm's.
Thanks for the link, found a lot of useful stuff (tried to build miui4 right that way, but was stuck on bootanim).
Try to fix the audio.. that's most important

You must port it from a hvga phone such as LG optimus one.
That would be very easy
And wait for cm7 to be ported then go on

That's seemly because you missed the hardware_samsung repo: Add this into your local_manifest
Code:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_hardware_samsung.git
I haven't attempted to use the cm11 specific trees for beanstalk, dao would know best about that since I had to make come CM specific modifications to the source code.
anw, if FB allows me, I will try building omni or trying create my own ROM (I planned w FB b4) asa I get my new gear set. Gonna have a new laptop soon as the current one is too old for stuffs . If it ever happen, I will post a tracking thread here and will try to support as many device as I can (of course starting from Galaxy S 4G) so I might need helps. There are many cool (but simple and very daily necessary that I find other ROMs haven't had yet) stuffs on the list that I will have to create my own so I will also need help.

Dao hit me up when you have your new laptop, I know I haven't been so active with posting new content on the forum, but I can hook you up with the patches I made to get OmniROM to build.
I'm locking this thread since I'm not supporting this project.
