Go for S3 then. Galaxy Nexus's camera is no better than the SL's camera (Video recording excluded). And the fact that HTC can't beat S3 with any phone in their current lineup makes S3 the clear winner.
I suggest to go for Galaxy Note 2. Because -
1. Faster than S3.
2. Comes with jellybean out of the box! S3 already recieved JB update and knowing samsung, they just care to update their phones to next 2 major android versions. So Note 2 has more major updates left than S3 (I think).
Good Luck
htc one x+ is now official http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_x_with_android_41_jelly_bean_is_now_official__-news-4884.php

That device is retarded, check the reviews.. slow as hell with their retarded software.. awesome hardware ugly/poor software.
Go with the S3 for performance and lovely simple look, HTX One X for (slightly worse, better than LG.. lol) Performance and a more mechanical (also lovely) look.
Now with the One X you'll lose, changing batteries, SD Cards and you are stuck with their back design.
With the S3 you get battery replacement, SD Cards and a plastic back, however you can change it to anything you like (metal/anything) because it's removable.
Man Listen...
Close Your Eyes..
Walk to a store
and blindly ask for a fukin piece of GALAXY S3 !!

Most newer phones having good cameras nowadays, 8MP being the standard. As for performance, I'd have to go with skyrocket or vivd but I'm biased.
there are many android phone in that range. they have similar features. it all boils down to your brand preference.
It depends on the carrier, but the Galaxy S II sounds right for you, it has excellent camera. There are various version depends on the carrier you go with, the best version performance wise is the international unlocked version which has faster cpu/gpu than the American carrier locked versions.
Right now brand new its more than $400, but used or with contract is cheaper.
Optimus 2X, HTC Sensation, SGS2. They have excellent performance thanks to dual-core processor.
If you really really care about camera, definitely go for SE Xperia Arc(S) or Droid RAZR.

My fiancee bought a white gnote yesterday and it's a beautiful phone. Great design, very very slim and surprisingly light. I haven't gotten much chance to play with it and I won't in the next month - the missus is more of a geek than I am sometimes, but it feels very smooth, very fast and responsive.
However, it is ridiculously large IMHO, and I have pretty big hands. It's uncomfortable to hold and I'd constantly be scared ****tles of dropping it. It feels more like a tablet than a phone. That is my only complaint and the reason I will get a gnexus (or some other nexus device, no larger than 4.7") when it's time to upgrade.
Galaxy S2
Galaxy Ace 2
If the size isnt a turn off for you... the Note is the way to go. Im hoping it comes to Sprint... then Ill gladly flip my white e4gt for it.

i think you should wait for the LG 4X HD
reason-
as with the transformer prime this also uses the tegra 3 chipset, sure it's quad-core CPU is good for games and apps that will utilize it...but when you are chilling to some music the 5th core kicks in and the power usage drops meaning more battery life...the so called companion core will handle everyday tasks so you need to worry about battery when idling...pardon my ignorance i don't know about how oneX utilize it's resources though HTC have switched cpu manufacturers and might have some complications hopefully nothing major...i'm just saying what i heard on a podcast
Samsung Galaxy Note + 1
Galaxy Note. *like*
Battery life On quad for phones is gonna be amazing because there more energy efficient than dual core phones, much more.
The stats on the Lg 4x and htc one x are identicle apart from the fact that the Lg will have a 10% longer battery life with its 2150mah battery .
I would go with lg 4x because i don't like the look of the HTC and also LG are gonna release kernel sources etc so unlocked BL ftw

Well according to the specs (pretty disappointing, but expected that from HTC), its just an ICS installed HTC Desire S...
Single core processor, well, is not future proof according to me... But if u want the HTC experience and prefer looks over specs, then it is for you at that price range...

Watch out the size of the mobile. It is just 2/3rd size of galaxy r. You need the bigger display to enjoy ics, surf, games etc. My friend recently bought in poorvika Chennai. They did not have the dummy piece and asked him to pay before they open the box and show the piece. I don't like the physical buttons and design. Those spaces could have been used for display.

It depends on expectations, it's clearly a successor of HTC legend, and it has its advantages and disadvantages. User interface is pretty nice, u cannot even compare ****ty tw style. HTC tries at least make some modification in their ui, not like sammy. I can bet that camera is not worse than ours. Unibody feels more sturdy and solid. And think that not everyone is an android freak that likes huge and fast devices. But even here devs interest will be most possibly much bigger than in case of sgr. If the price is good I think it's worth to consider.

price difference of sgr and one v
(in indian markets)
sgr ~21000 INR(~405 USD)

I thought about it too! I just don't trust HTC after my adventure with Incredible S and qualcom snapdragon is not the fastest cpu (1,5 ghz in SGS II Lte is not as fast as 1,2 hgz exynos in sgs II). If not exynos I would prefer Ti OMAP. So I'll wait till somebody test it.
Well, it is obviously not as good as the R going by specs. But mostly everybody has had some issue or the other with the R. HTC devices are the most reliable in my experience.
And the dev support would be awesome.

Wow...that's really hard to believe, but if it's true then I'm really impressed.
Well, I have never used any of the flagship devices by samsung for any extended periods of time.
But my experience with Galaxy R and Galaxy SL have NOT been amazing.
Reflashing firmwares. Wiping cache. Spending hours on google researching the problem you are having.
Never a samsung again for me.
My next device would be either a HTC or a Sony.
Mine experience is far away from being amazing but it's ok, everything has worked as it should. The only thing that bothers me is lack of both samsung's and devs' support for SGR.
I would never buy a "poorer brother" of a flagship model ever again. IT turned out to be an unwanted child. Next one will be a flagship - due to best support from each side, even the older one like SGS2....but most probably will be a Nexus.

Which one should i get?
Am I right that I would not be able to install an custom roms made now.
I know that i can overclock the canadian one s to 1.8 GHz with a custom kernel
you can install any custom ROM on the One S..
Its a no-brainer !! S3 @ 1.7ghz or S4 @ 1.8ghz ??
Obviously you should go for the S4 cause its newer and better. And can be overclocked.... However it is not needed as it performs excellently

and We can't install custom roms on at&t one x which are made for international version As it Has Snapdragon S4 Processor and the Internation version has tegra 3 quad core.
I am saying we can't install custom roms which are made for the s4 and we have to make it different roms for s3 version
Oh I see,
But if you get the S4 version then you can flash every rom that is available in these threads
I dont get why different regions modify the phone, It makes no sense.
Why should someone have a less powerful processor than the next person just because they live in different locations ?? Anyway, Go for the S4 version then, Much more supported i believe and everyone here has that one

Thanks and
According To Report, They Say that Their are Shortages of S4 Processor so The Have Used S3 and Overclocked it
The S4 is preferable. It has better manufacturing tech, and should deliver more cpu cycles (or MHz if you want) on the same amount of power consumed. Perhaps not that noticeable, but it should save some battery in theory
Also, unless you want to join us in the MAO-chipping thread, go for the gray/blue one, not the much cooler looking black one

Several people have now said keep the One X. Nobody here says take the Galaxy Nexus. So at least from this demographic, the opinion is pretty clear.
But also remember that this is not an objective place to ask this. For the most part, if we didn't like or love this phone, we wouldn't be hanging out in this forum.
Our One X pretty much smoked everything that came before it for CPU performance. So if performance is what you are looking at, getting the GN is probably a bad bet.
