This is the first time, I used rom ICS. I will have alot of question, pls answer me. Tks

Which gapps did you use?
Try fixing permissions in cwm.
What rom did you flash?
cm10 and paranoid android both have optional oc kernels linked in the OP, if you desire to overclock.

4.1.1 is not ICS, 4.1.1 is jellybean
Also, please follow the forum rules (search before asking) before asking any questions...I can safely say 99% of any questions you ask have already been asked and answered at least once if not multiple times...
If after searching your question has not been answered, then you may ask...but when you do ask...please ask correctly...what I mean by ask correctly is give us info...help us help you
Any time you ask a question we need the following info:
What ROM are you running?
Are you using a different kernel?
Have you applied any tweaks or mods that were not included in the ROM be default?
...etc, basically the more info you give the better and easier we will be able to help

i try to go from GB to JB and bricked my phone....

i have no idea what to do......
is it boot looping or stuck at the samsung screen?
You can not flash directly from GB to JB, you need to flash an ICS ROM after GB.
I suggest looking through the Dev section and finding an odin package with root and CWM and starting from there.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613523
youre gonna wanna do either option C or D, then, i would flash remics UX, bradman has some solid instructions in his thread, then from there you flash JB. GB to JB will always cause boot loops
You gotta help us help you.....sorry to say but this is a terrible thread at thread/op at the moment....sorry if that is harsh or offensive....but if you want help we need to know
-what is the current problem...not turning on, boot looping, stuck on Samsung logo...etc
-what you've done so far...anything you've flashed, modded etc
-as much info as possible!
I try to go from GB to jb, I have no idea what to do is a TERRIBLE way to ask for help...
Not to mention a simple search will find you the answer...we have a very nice guide by Andros on how to properly get to jb...I suggest using the search feature to find it...that is part of the forum rules after all...to search before asking

After browsing some fourms, websites i did flashing (although this was my first time)and i was able to flash it.
(i am not sure whether i did it in correct manner or not) but phone reboot within a while,so i was wondering if

what do you mean by "phone reboot within awhile"? Is it that the phone keep rebooting itself?
well.. I am a newbie too but I have flashed my phone more than 100 times I guess, keep trying on XDA developers' custom ROM (because they are way better than SAMSUNG stock rom)
I think there is no such ROM as most stable or appropriate here, every ROM has its own feature(some might be laggy or buggy though) so the best way to find out which 1 most suit your needs is to test them out. You can read through the threads in Development forum, there are many ROMs there from XDA developers. See some review and comments to find the ROM best suits your needs, and follow exactly the installation guide then you should be able to flash your phone without worry
Im currently using [4.1.2] JellyBam ☄ v3.1.0 [AOKP.CM10.PARANOID] by Lolation, very smooth and kinda good battery life too
good luck flashing~ =)

HOW TO SOLVE THIS. please help

ive had issues with my mic on samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 after installing cm 10.1 nightly. the person im calling cant hear me using the mic of the headphone. Someone found a solution but did not elaborate enough on the steps. im new to android. maybe you guys could help me. heres what she said----- "I've fixed the problem with flashing the baseband\modem from the latest firmware matching exactly to my device and region from sammobile.com.
You can flash the complete stock firmware image via odin and than reflash your favorit custom rom via cwm,, or you just extract the modem out of the firmware and only flash this by keeping your actual rom." ----
i dont get what she means, maybe someone could help. here's the link to the solution. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40218465#post40218465
PLEASE HELP. thank you.
this has been the closest for me in solving this issue. i hope someone can help. any tutorial and download links will be helpful, i dont know what to look for in google since i dont know what i should be doing. thank you.
help
Dude, i'll try to help but i'm having my tea right now so bear with me!
1. don't bump your own thread - XDA rules states you can't bump a thread for 24 hours! Learn the rules!
2. Go to 'about tab' take a screen shot and upload it here so i can see what version of the tab, modem, build you're using etc,
3. you ever thought of reverting back to stock ? 4.2.x Roms are no where near stable enough (in my opinion) for daily drivers!
i cant find a tutorial online on how to go back to 4.1.x from 4.2.x. my stock rom was 4.0.4 and i dont like the UI of ICS. its very lousy. there arent that many tutorials about android. and most of the tutorial arent step by step.

[Q] Switching from Mazel II to GB or any other STABLE ROM. Kindly advice

HI everyone
Have been using Mazel II ROM for a bit. Have been facing a peculiar problem. while in stand by state I have noticed that calls sometimes (very random) do get through. Person calling gets all the normal rings but I do not receive the calls. Also games stutter after switching over from GB
Really irritating. I was planning to switch over to stock GB ROM. Kindly suggest which ROM should I go in for ??
Also what should be the ideal method to so. I read in the FAQ's that I should flash a stock GB/ICS ROM according to me requirements through ODIN but an user was facing an issue with the same mentioned in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884872&highlight=downgrade. This has left me confused & therefore had to create this thread.
Thanks
P.S. Kindly do suggest a STABLE ROM. Nothing else as such is a priority apart from it.
Bump !!!
Bumping a thread more than once in 24 hours is against XDA rules.
Now go and search or read the stickies, because this question has been answered like 300 times.

I have searched around quite a bit and could not find a single straightforward reply. Most of them end with the device ending in bootloops. I suppose this topic i.e. How to switch over from ICS to GB safely must made sticky as well & that would help a lot of users here.
Hope that solves the issue. Any help would be appreciated though

UCLB3_Unbrick_root_1.1. zip file not Available
Hello!
I have an Infuse 4G which is running Android 2.3.6 (Stock), never been rooted before. I made a decision that I want to upgrade it to jellybean, the instructions were easy, but the problem is that The UCLB3 (ODIN ROOT 1.1) file isn't available anywhere thus I can't download it. Can you guys please provide me with the File? As I really wanted to install Jellybean on my device ASAP!
