I have compiled and signed a version of ConnectBot for the tf700, as well as updated it to sdk 15. I have tested it and it seems to be working correctly with the dock. Enjoy!

Awesome, I should have caught that.
Do you know if there is an easy way to make the backspace send a ctrl-h instead of ctrl-? I looked in the menus like three times before asking this time

Is there an app that will allow you to use the Xperia Play physical gamepad on other Android devices like a tablet?
I've seen a lot of remote control apps but they are only for controlling using buttons on the touchscreen.
It would be best if it didn't require root.
Check a post of that in this section

If you find one, please let me know. There's an app called something like droid mote server which I think allows you to do so but you need root which I don't have

It puts Xplay controls on the screen of the phone, so if your tablet has a game that supports Xperia Play you can use that. As of now it doesn't map the physical controller inputs.
Maybe trying with the game keyboard app and this one??

Doesn't droidmote server work? It needs root and isn't free but surely if it doesn't work you could get a quick refund? i don't have root and i'm still looking. Tablet remote seems to be the best so far. If only the developer updated it to make it work with the physical buttons...

There were some apps written for the Thinkpad Tablet that used it's pen. Has anyone tried anyof those apps?
Briefly tested Quill. Seems to work fine (including pen pressure). Some options are greyed out in settings.

I just turned my tablet on to read a book while on lunch and I got the prompt to update. I normally check 2x a day for system update so I was shocked to see it.
Hope it starts rolling out en mass soon!

Actually, the OTA usually is out before it's available for download, or atleast it's been like that for the last two updates.

There's an easier way to take a screenshot, go to Settings /Personalized Asus Settings and enable the screenshot option in there.

What changes do you notice with this build of Jelly Bean? Does the browser work as well as chrome on PC now? Can the infinity now run Crysis at high settings? Does Google Maps now display the location of the All Spark?

i just looked at my About, and i noticed that i have versions for GPS, Bluetooth and Wifi. You dont, why is that?
Where is your option for Asus Customized Settings?
Why doesnt the Touch Panel Version show up?
I have just checked, no updates here in Germany..

Given your number of posts you can expect a few more of these critical replies. I'll just pass on mine, but I have to concede I*am* a bit curious why you did not use the standard screenshot facility. Even if you have 'shopped the shot, it would have made it a lot easier to start with.
I'd love to have my tab do a few things in the morning, such as start up my Kindle app and sync it, so that when I leave my house all of my newspapers are fresh. Is there an easy way to do this? Is this something that I'd have to use Tasker for, if anyone is running that on their 700?
That's what I use, Tasker with sl4a to automate quite a few tasks.

I'll need to root to use tasker, correct?
Any free alternatives like taker?
Also does app like this drain battery because they have to run in the background all the time?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T
and.. Is it even possible to get tasker (or something else) to open a program then execute a command inside the program (like sync the Kindle app)?
I believe tasker can do just about anything, including push commands... But it is quite detailed and difficult to set up. Best bet is to ask a programmer.

It's not very difficult and there are many common "recipes" on the developer's website.
I can't recommend this app highly enough.

Yeah, I've already got it on my phone, and I use it for a few things, but I've never done something like opening an app, then having it execute a command inside that app. I'm not sure where to start. I'll check to see if there are any new recipes since I last looked. If not, I'll **** around with it and see what I can make happen. Thanks
