[Q] program that will listen to music discover the song and download it - General Questions and Answers

Is there a program that will listen to music discover the song and download it?
like shazam+gtunes, If the app would discover the song ask if you would like to download, if yes it would then go to a mp3 downloader punch the info in and download it to a specified folder (or have it built in)
I always am using shazam usually listening to music on the radio find the song, but then I will forget to download or won't because I don't want to die in a car crash.
Thanks,
Spencer

If im correct shazam does link you to amazon where you can buy the song.
If you asking how to download it for free than this is the wrong forum for you

more flexibility from shazam would be great, like if it added your song to a playlist trough a free radio player such as pandora or groove shark.
it would also be cool if you could download it via gtunes without entering info.
by the way is gtunes illegal? It wouldn't be on the app market if it was right?

Is there a way to transfer music from my PC/iTunes without losing all of the information such as album artwork and artist name? Just, when I transfer an album over at the moment, it puts some songs as individual albums instead of with the album their with. For example, I transferred over Some Nights by Fun (great album) and, whilst most of the tracks were fine, Carry On was listed under a separate album. Anyway to avoid this?
Any ideas?
Music Folder Player
Google Play: Music Folder Player
"If you regularly play music on your mobile Android device, then Music Folder Player may come in handy.
It can be annoying when playing ,music without tags for example of your ripped CD’s without downloading the ID3 tag. How about when you’ve added music in a ‘new music folder in your memory card without knowing exactly all the artists/albums? Well, the dev of the app, XDA forum member cyberniko says this is where his app can help.
Music Folder Player is available as a free version in the Market, and the dev is looking for feedback on tablets."

My friend ,
I'll try to explain what i've done with my mp3 library
It's all about the tag stored in the mp3 file itself
There's more than a version of this tag
One file can contain more than one version
That's make the conflict
I'm using a wonderful free software on my pc called mp3tag
There's nothing you can't do in the tag
Give it a try

Maybe you could give Mediamonkey a try instead of itunes... It also allows syncing with Note.

Ps. Not affiliated with this vendor, just sick of the bloated itunes and found a nice alternative.

I use this This is the greatest program I've used! I love iTunes for some reason, and this app syncs everything perfectly for me. I'd highly recommend it. It doesn't sync play count or stars, but that's OK. Playlists are all that I need and a fast easy interface.

Poweramp lets you choose the music folder you want, make playlists and control from headset, loads of options. Try it free for a while and see how you get on. Also sounds great too!

Never realised winamp pro was free!
Looking for that time ago. I'll try winamp
MixZing is also a nice music player with eq, playlists, lockscreen, sleep timer... Free version is enough to play music everyday
I prefer vanilla music. I think it's on the play store but I got it from
F-DROID.

JetAudio Basic (free) is still best (or buy regular what ever)... believe me

i use tubemate to download songs from youtube because its the only way to find greek songs to download because all apps are for english songs, anyway i download from tubemate but the players i have used cant recognise the songs probably because they arent real mp3s. do you know a music player that supports them? also if its possible i want the player to show the music controls in the lockscreen as well. now im using music folder player but it doesnt have shuffle/ repeat or show controls in the lockscreen. if you know any please tell me.

Try Poweramp, Might cost you a little bit though. and if tubemate gives you an option, choose to download the songs in .mp3 extension next time.
Tubemate download the music files as .mp4 files but it will rename it to .mp3, i havr hacked it to the full version, cannot tell how ive done it or else im breaking a silly rule again, i can tell you in a pm

radio station that doesn't use data?

I know it's a stupid question. But the idea I have in my head is something just like Pandora except when you're connected to WiFi it automatically downloads a preset number of songs to your phone so whenever you're connected to data you could just play the random downloaded songs right off of your phone. Is something like this around? If not someone should work on developing something like this for real.
i believe that some music apps will keep a cache of songs that you play over wifi or data available offline.
might want to investigate that route.
i think i usedthis a few times with google play music
I believe Slacker radio does this. Haven't used it for quite some time though.

Google Music does this, you can 'pin' songs, albums, or playlists and they will be downloaded to your phone so they're always available.
Oh ok. I'll check out slacker radio. & as far as Google music goes, I listen to a lot of jazz & classical & I like various types so I don't have them on my actual player. I use Poweramp for all my downloaded stuff. Will Google Music allow me to just create a jazz or classical station?
Check out Tune In radio. It may be a paid feature but you can download whole radio broadcasts from local and internet radio stations. I listen to jazz and classical as well and there are a bunch of different jazz and classical stations, all different genres, too.

[App] Best App for downloading music in 2021

Are you a music lover? Do you often listen to music? Do you want to use Youtube music or Spotify and you're struggling with the high cost of your subscription? Or is it always intermittent when you listen to music due to the quality of your network? Now, a new app can help you with these worries: Musictube.
You can simply use Musictube to enjoy youtube music, and save whatever song you like for later. Musictube can sync all your Youtube library data after you log in to your Youtube account so that you can use Musictube instead of the official YoutubeMusic App. And it's all for free!
You gotta try it! And share it with your friends!
Easy to use navigation and interface
Have the same library of songs as Youtube music
You can play songs when you turn off the screen
You can build your own song list
You can use Musictube just like you would with Youtube music
Download Link:https://musictube-hd-youtube-music-player-and-downloader.cn.uptodown.com/android
Thanks for the topic and for the link, I'll try it after work.
