[Q] Another bricked one s

Hi all, im looking for a bit of help in recovering my orange uk one s. I had unlocked the bootloader, rooted and installed cwm mod recovery without any problems.
I decided i wanted to do the ota 4.04 update which is where my problems started. I read that you needed to restore stock recovery and relock the bootloader to do this, which i did and now the phone wont boot
I can access the bootloader and recovery ok and can unlock and relock the bootloader ok. I still have the original cwm back up i made when i first rooted the phone, have tried to restore this without any joy.
There doesent seem to be a an orange uk ruu out there which would be the easiest way to recover the phone and im presuming i need the phone up and running properly to change to super cid to install a general ruu.
Does anyone out there have any ideas or suggestions to help me restore my phone ?
I know this has been posted before but i have spent the last two days going round in circles trying to fix this, any help greatly appreciated

boot into bootloader
unlock bootloader if you haven't alredy unlocked it
install twrp recovery (because its better than CWM with S-ON)
change your CID to Super CID or a Generic one like "HTC_001"
install stock recovery
relock bootloader
Install European RUU.
It's not bricked if you can get into the bootloader or if the screen turns on.
A brick is what it says, the screen doesn't turn on, nothing works, not the bootloader, not recovery, nothing.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I got sorted this afternoon (I posted this in another thread) using that method. for some reason i couldnt get into adb shell before installing twrp. Wverything all up and running again.

[Completed] Need help finding a signed ruu for htc one m8 verizion

Hi guys from xda i would like to ask for some help. I need help finding a signed ruu 5.0.1 lolipop so i don't have to go back and downgrade the phones firmware again and re root and s off and unlocking the boot loader again. i'm looking for one because it still has supersu install on the stock firm where i have now and it acts like its a stock system app. So if any one can help it be great help.
First off, if you are S-Off there is never a reason to go back to S-On or relock your bootloader to update or downgrade firmware. You can leave it S-Off and unlocked.
Go to this thread for the Verizon RUU you are looking for.

have you tried downloand the TWRP version 3.0.0.2 https://twrp.me/devices/htconea9.html format the data and than do a RUU. the firmware will say modified if the bootloader is unlocked or if some sort of rooting or modding was involved. you can change it back to official with some simple adb commands. All the RUU and zips for any version of the A9 is in the general forum threads.

htc a9 sprint stock recovery

Can anyone be so kind to upload the stock recovery for htc a9 sprint. Thank you so much in advance :good:
Anyone? Please?
If you flash the stock sprint RUU for your device, you will get the stock sprint recovery
Im from the philippines and i bought this as a 2nd hand phone. When i bought it it already has twrp,s-off and cid 11111111 and sim unlocked. Im afraid that it would simlock my phone if i flash stock sprint ruu. That is why i badly need stock recovery for sprint so i can install ota. Im still on android 6.0
To take ota you need to be relocked unrooted s-on and have stock recovery

Yes sir. That is why im asking if someone has a back up or copy of stock recovery. But i believe u can still get ota even if ur s-off. Nothing was modified from my system folder, so all i need now is stock recovery. Thank you sk much for the advice
Some of us are on OSX and can not reflash via RUU. So would be nice to have a copy of the recovery to be able to flash via fastboot.

Does flashing back stock HTC recovery enable re-lock bootloader ?

Hi all,
Does any of you have the answer for the above mentioned ?
Please advice
Nope, you have to relock manually after flashing the RUU. Do not relock ever unless you RUU first.
I thought flashing a fresh firmware will lock back the bootloader automatically.
What a waste, in this case HTC service centre people will know we have modified the software via unlocking bootloader
