Do any one have performance issue with Samsung Galaxy S duos s7562.
I am very much disappointed with my device as it will get stuck on screen. Huge Lag time. Will take time to go to application after clicking on icon. Cannot play HD videos. While receiving calls the screen will go black, You can hear the ring but cannot see anything on screen. Any help will be appreciated.
I don't have such issues with it at all!quite good, only problem is low internal memory..

I forgot something to tell u,there is something called Power Saving mode in the options, turn it off!if it's on it will cause a big lag and bad performance to save battery life, check it out..PEACE
I'm quite happy with its performance. No such thing happened to me.
Not only the awareness of the performance, but I have concern about its internal storage so I tried not to overload the phone by installing the big apps even I wish to.
By the way, anybody has recommendation of how to move the installed apps to External SD Card.
I need to install some more apps but don't want the internal memory to getting low while my External SD Card is almost unused.
My Link2SD and App2SD cannot move my apps by unknown reasons (maybe need additional steps and need to know how). Thanks.
I just received my S7562 today. And indeed there is a very noticible lag the moment you activate power savings.
I'm also having some problems;
1) the phone is still not showing up in the devices list on Google Play, but I can download apps from the device itself
2) It does not have an option for "National Data Roaming". My SIM with the data connection, is on a provider which is an MVNO with its own network ID. As such the network ID of the SIM and the network ID of the network don't match and the device thinks its in roaming mode and disables data. Obviously I can enable "Data roaming", but that also enables data roaming out of the country which can be very costly!
My wifes Sony Xperia does have this option, as does Cyanogenmod
3) I'm hoping this phone can get rooted. I would love to get rid of the "TouchWiz" rubish and get a clean Android image. If I did not need the dual-sim functionality, I would have gotten something like the Galaxy Nexus instead
*Edit*
Issue 1 is solved, it just took some time to show up on Google Play.
guyz some1 post hw to root this phone re plz
I did some more testing, and have some more issues as a result
1) storage. the internal 4GB storage seems to be split into 2. Of which 1.78GB is available as /mnt/sdcard
The actual sdcard instead gets mounted as /mnt/extSdCard and as an effect appears to be unusable for most apps.
If someone knows of a trick to mount the MicroSD card as /mnt/sdcard I would love to hear about it..
2) the real purpose of this phone, dual-SIM. I had understood that while most dual-SIM phones are only dual-standby, this phone is actually a Dual-Active model, such that you can have a call active, and still receive a call on the other SIM. But in my testing, the moment one SIM has an active call going, the second line is dead. This is not what I needed!
When I go into the SIM card manager -> Dual SIM always on and try to enable "Dual SIM always on enab...", it give me a dialog with "Updating Settings" and after a while I get a Failed dialog telling me
[SIM 1]
Call forwarding: Failed
Call waiting: Enabled
[SIM 2]
Call forwarding: Failed
Call waiting: Enabled
Hi robert__,
I got the phone at Monday and of course I was most interested in the Dual-Active feature so I made several tests.
As a result I must that it works for me. After enabling "Dual SIM always on enab..." it took some time to activate and it passed finally. So I dial one of my SIMs, receive call and keep it connected. Then I call from another phone to the second SIM, phone starts ringing and I was able to put previous call on hold and pick up this one. So the result was both calls to my two SIMs were connected - one of them active, one of them on hold. And I was able to switch between them.
I expect that the phone somehow cheats with the Call forwarding feature of the network and maybe that's why you did not succeed.
But I was so far not able to find out the mechanism cause in my call lists at both operators there are no forwarded calls recorded and also no fees for the forwarding were counted yet (and they should be according to pricelists if call is really forwarded to another operator).

Hi tristone,
I think I don't fully understand how the "Dual SIM always on enabled" is meant to work. I figured it would work truely almost as if they are separate phones. Not that it tries to forward calls from one network to another, which I don't want to have happen anyway as the two SIMs are from providers in different countries and could cause high fees.
My understanding was that forwarding calls to the other SIM is a practise used by dual-SIM phones that only support dual-standby.
I did some tests.
I booted the device with volume up, home and power key pressed. And when it started to vibrate I let go of the power key and I got a screen asking if I wanted to install a custom ROM. I started ODIN3 and it seems to recognize the device, but without a custom ROM I could not do much more.
I also was able to use adb to get a shell prompt, but without root access obviously.
I suspect a rooting similar to CF-Root for the S3 should be possible.
hi r0bert.
i have the same pr0blem with the dual sim function, 0ne 0f my sims (sim1) is a credit one that hasnt any credit in it, an the one (sim2) is m0nthly paid.

Hello good evening
I agree with some statements said above, this mobile phone becomes slow when it happened but rather have the battery saving mode active.
This process reduces the cpu usage of the mobile phone that just makes the mobile phone becomes much slower.
Apart from that I think this mobile phone very good, like everything in life is not perfect but does not disappoint at all levels.
Would you like to leave a question in this debate, someone of you know how to access the recovery of this mobile phone?
Already the My thanks
decent performance
I have been using Galaxy S duos for a few days now and I am happy with the phone! When compared to the existing dual SIM phones in the market, I feel, this is the best! I have used to HTC desire V too. It has a decent screen, hardware could have been better! The current market price for this mobile is around 16K and at that price point it is a good buy!
I have installed apps, configured atleast 8 email id's, angry birds, temple run, etc & I have not faced freezing or process hanging as of now! The main concern however is that of using the external memory! This phone does not have a real primary external storage. We can not move apps to a SD card!
Main camera is decent for ocasional photograaphy and can take good pictures in good lighting conditions. The LED flash is powerful enough however the processing capabilities of the sensor under flash is not that great!

I found there are ways to fix the extSdCard issue
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1888986
However, that first requires that the device is rooted.
battery saving mode
Yes the battery saving mode make phone lagging. That mode reduce CPU power and brightness, search for setting, it is possible to disable making CPU slower.

Right, but 'soon' for Samsung could be a year based on experience with my Galaxy Tab 10.1 for the upgrade to ICS.

The issue related to Call forwarding might be due to your mobile operator. Ther eare some operator will not allow call to other operator sim.

Hi there,
I have got my S Duos on 25th of September and after few days I discovered  the option which let you select power saving mode without slowing down the CPU Performance; i.e, it won't limits the CPU performance. Go to
SETTINGS -> Tap On Power Saving -> Untick the "CPU Power Saving" option!

To give you a little context, I came over to the T869 from the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, which is basically the WiFi-only sibling of the "Plus" T869 that T-Mobile now sells. Being a WiFi only device, it had the "phone" parts of the GUI disabled, like the Phone and Messaging apps won't show up or run and you can't sync BlueTooth headsets. The T869 has the MMS app enabled, but no phone, so the same mod I did on the P3113 is useful on this one.
Thankfully, even though it seems fairly arcane, Wes Foster made a nice utility to make this much easier (and more n00b friendly) to do.
To do this (and other framework mods), first you should pull the framework-res.apk file out of the ROM.zip file you're using. Open the zip and go into /system/framework. In there you'll find framework-res.apk, which you should extract.
Drop that file into the "place-framework-res-here" folder within the Mod tool, then run the tool and enter option 1.
This will unpack the files to the "files-to-edit" folder.
Inside there you'll need to go to \framework-res.apk\res\values\
You'll need to modify the file bools.xml. Find this line and change "false" to "true":
Code:
[B]<bool name="config_voice_capable">false</bool>[/B]
Once you make that change, you're all set to "enable" phone features. You can also make other changes as desired.
Here's a partial guide: http://www.igottadroid.com/ModMarket/Listings/Darkside Agent1621289.html
Once you're done modifying the file, save it, and then run through options 2, 3, and 4 on the mod tool.
Once its done, you'll have a flashable ZIP file named "update.zip" inside the final-zip-file folder.
For extra safety, I reccomend making a copy of the update.zip called revert_framework.zip.
Open this copy in 7-Zip, go into the /system/framework folder, and delete the framework-res.apk file there. Replace it with the unmodified one from your ROM, then close 7-Zip. Now you have a second "flashable" ZIP that will put the untouched framework back onto your tablet, which comes in handy if you managed to break something and cannot boot
I did not make the tool, and found it in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823701
I am simply reposting it over here since I found it very helpful
I stumbled across this thread when I was about to ask about the international version...is there any chance you could post a video of this in action? Not that I don't believe this works, but I remember following a thread for the T-Mobile Springboard where a few people said a certain update would allow for phone/SMS, but then others who actively tried were unable to do so because of how T-Mobile picks up the IMEI (and doesn't let you use a phone SIM with a tablet).
If this works (and if it also keeps T-Mobile 4G), then this would be a MUCH better solution than buying an international 7.0 Plus (which is not only ~$200 more expensive on average but would only work on 2G on T-Mobile US).
Well, the T869 has SMS enabled natively. I got a "data only" pay-as-you-go plan for a 4G / WiFi hotspot earlier this year, and recently got the T869 with a contact. Both of these came with a 10 digit phone number for administrative purposes, and even the hotspot had the ability to receive SMS.
This particular trick doesn't do anything to the back end services themselves, so its not like you magically get phone service just by doing this.
I use a combination of SIP and Google Voice to do phone-type stuff without a phone.
I prefer this hack because it enables the native dialer, and pretty much all the good softphone solutions allow you to "integrate" with the native call log & dialer setup, so you just go to the normal "People" app and click someone's phone # and are then given an option to call them.
Without this hack, you must go into whatever 3rd party app you're using and initiate phone calls from there.
Remember, I initially started doing this on my WiFi Only GT-P3113 (which is basically a T869 without 4G or vibration).
I was never able to get the "Native" messaging app to behave quite right. There's a Google Voice SMS Integration app, and it can sync your GV texting into the native SMS app's text history, but it can't (or couldn't) trigger native SMS notifications correctly.
I am kinda over texting in general, as I have it piped through GoogleTalk. I receive SMS at my GoogleVoice phone #, and they are automatically forwarded to GoogleTalk via a third party web service called GVMax, which is free. GV Max is basically a GoogleVoice to XMPP bridge. After federating in my other IM accounts, GoogleTalk is now my one-stop-shop for textual communications.
Just my $0.02.
Isn't the "International" version so-called because its got a quad band radio that works on like any carrier?
Also, I have heard (though this is not confirmed) that the "International" edition doesn't come with an IR blaster, whereas the T869 does. I dunno if that's true or something you'd care about, but food for thought

Well from what I remember, the reviews I read about the 7.0 Plus were regarding the international version and all of them mentioned an IR blaster - but regardless, that'd be one of my least-used features of the tablet. Kinda disappointed that it'd still only be calls over data - I think I'd pay the extra $200 and suffer 2G speeds (at least until T-Mobile 1900Mhz roll-out comes to Chicago) for GSM calls alone, as I'd rather not deal with a separate data plan or tethering data off my phone to get calls.

Yeah that's kindof a deal breaker. Out here in Portland OR we have 4G in most places, and I'm either at work (in an office) or at home 90% of the time, where I have a high speed WiFi hookup, AND I almost never talk on the phone, so the data-only setup is perfect for guys like me.
GSM only would pretty much make that a dealbreaker, since I suspect the audio quality would be pretty terrible.

While I do have a pretty stable 4G connection wherever I go (except for my brother's apartment, where ALL reception is horrible) or have access to my home's faster Wifi connection, and I don't talk much, I still get much better GSM service everywhere and can still get calls when I have to turn off data to save battery (since I use the data connection quite a bit when I'm away from a charger). And I haven't really had complaints with GSM audio or found voice over 4G/Wifi to be much clearer especially when the person on the other end is usually using GSM too..
I mean if you were doing some sorta data-only internet phone setup like SIP or GrooveIP or something. That's what I am using, and for it to sound alright you need decent bandwidth. Actually I ought to test out my stuff on a 2G connection and see how bad it is Should be interesting!
will this trick work on stock ICS build?
Galaxy t869
Does anyone know if this will allow making "regular" calls using my "regular" SIM CARD?
Thanks,

T869UVLG7 ICS phone call hack
Hey I'm one the noobs mentioned in your post. I'm living in the Bahamas and a proud owner of the T869.First I have no idea what the ROM.zip is and whether this is supposed to be done on a desktop or the tab itself.I am rooted but running UVLG7 ICS UPDATE.It'd be awesome if I could get this working .My sim card is data and 3g/4g ready.Could you please /anyone inform. Thanks to u guys with your mod skills they're mad skills. Thanks man
Thanks mate~~
I did this on the T869 originally locked to T-Mobile, and it worked without a problem~!!!!
PS: >>> Be sure to first wipe cache. I skipped that the first time and i almost created an atomic bomb
PPS: >>> Also, the backup revert.zip is a brilliant idea, it's what i used when i messed up the first time!
Hey mate!
thanks again for the tutorial!
I have followed it to completion.
I however, can only do simple things like loading airtime [our networks are prepaid] and check balance,
but I can't seem to be able to make calls
I have an unlocked T869

I though of posting this here for the benefit of other users who might face problems at a later date. One of my friend had the same issue in Samsung S4 and it was utter confusions, sometimes he can make call while sometimes it just does not dial. Sometimes he could receive call while other times he just cannot receive, he can see the phone ringing, but it will refuse to attend the call. He used to hang on to the power button for more than 10 seconds and the phone used to restart and then it used to work fine. I have seen this issue happening more of in lower RAM phones but S4 well i too was confused.

Hmm...your case is completely different. S4 hanged up as you told and became unresponsive at times. But when i faced this strange issue my phone responded well to other things. And it was not all because of ram. I have increased my ram and created a swap file of 300mb and is always having above 200mb ram free and that much is more than enough for attending any call. Moreover in s4 also i don't think it is simply because of ram.
Why i said one of the reason could be lower ram because i had someone else who used to face the same problem time and again on a 512 mb ram device.

Android system have got the tendency of removing the old calculations of executed commands from RAM storage especially for the important processes like receiving a phone call etc etc.....
it can be because of some corrupted modem.img in my case.
AND MOREOVER I HAVE INCREASED RAM FROM 512 MB TO 812 MB BY MAKING SWAP FILE IN CACHE PARTITION. But if someone have 512 mb RAM then also it is sufficient for calls. Ram what i think has no touch in this issue. Moreover S4 has got 2GB of RAM na!!
So my phone is no longer a 512 MB RAM phone.

Just simple Go to settings> network & internet > mobile networks > advanced > preferred network type > LTE/WCDMA/GSM
iam 100% sure it will work out
Hi,
I have a big problem, i bought a Inew V3 about 3 weeks ago, and evrything worked fine
After a week or so i downloaded mobileuncle tools and just checked around what settings there was. I apparently changed something as i cannot make any calls or take any calls anymore..
I can send and get text SMS though and i can go on the internet aswell
When i try to make a call it says. "Call Forwarding" "On Conditional" and hangs up
I tried to reset the phone, still the same problem
I have also tried to flash another rom, and another sim card, but i still cant make any calls
SIM card works fine in my galaxy s2 with im using right now till i get this phone fixed
Settings on Phone App > Settings > Voice Call Settings > Call Forwarding
Always forward: Disabled
Forward when busy: Disabled
Also posted on another forum but noone could help me
Anyone know what i might have changed?
Would appreciate any help

MAN thats really a lot of settings.
I don't own this phone. In the seetings you will face "CFU" (Call forwarding unconditioned) what means always forward calls. Screenshot shows "default" you can also choose always query OR always not query
Thats clearly RELATED to the call forwarding. May be try both setting.
BTW have you simply tried out the other simslot?

Next: Type/dial ##002# as it will deavtivate all conditional forwarding
That will help in most cases.
Just for your information: "conditional forwarding" settings are stored to your provider NOT to your sim // telephone. The phone will just read out the provider settings stored for BUT NOT actually to you simcard.

Tried the ##002# now and still dosent work.
So it must be something else than conditional forwarding
If i take out the sim and put it back in my old phone(galaxy s2) it works perfect
Anyone else that has an idea?
Thanks again for the reply

Just to be clear about it:
Have you performed getting phone fully back to stock? Not flashing a rom BUT using the manufactirers files? They should delete everything and set phone back to FULL stock as it seems the issue is "stored" in the phone and not to your sim
Hello everyone,
Let me submit here a problem that rots me life:I have a Xiaomi Mi4i and despite the updated 5.9.16, I have a problem with pop-up that appears every 30 seconds indicating the "Managed Roaming (Sub1) ....
sorry I'm not allowed to post a screenshot on this forum but you can see it folowing this link ( by replacing dashes by what is missing): h--p://w-w.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=168394Screenshot20150920200955.png
It is a message that tells you that your network operator you manually select from one of two sim cards is not captured and invites you to choose another manually or set to automatic mode.I'm forced to choose between cancel or ok to make disappear this message that highlights on the screen and causing interference on my running applications. Since I am in the border area, and that according to the side where I am of the border, there is always one of the two SIM cards no longer picks up the signal. I can not afford to let the sim cards in the automatic mode because roaming is too expensive and it's also the reason that made me choose this dual sim. Suddenly, the pop-up turns on the screen every 15 sercondes and it rots me, every time I pick up the phone I need to click cancel and it turns round. It annoys me so much that if I do not find a solution I'll have to buy another phone ... It's so stupid but I have no solution, I had the same problem with a MI2 2 years ago and I had to put it in a drawer ... I thought that since that time, problem had been resolved. But I can not be the one to meet this concern all the same! I tried everything without success.
I specify that I tried all possible versions miui and the problem is the same.
I think it is imperative that developers delete this message pop-up screen and simply leave the choice to seek a network from the notifications bar !!! I have a bottle thrown into the sea via the application "BUG" pending .. If someone has another solution waiting for the grace of an update includes a fix, I'd be eternally grateful to him ...
Please, can someone help me? I do not know what to do, this problem makes my phone unusable!
Yep, happens to me too. There are some weird bugs in MIUI.

Yes what a pity, I should have stayed on a standard model because Miui is for those who love having problems ....
This fuuccccck pop up....lost signal and then pop up simultaneous...how to delete forever this pop up
It's 2018 and the problem still here, but there's good news. I know it's an old thread, but this provides a possible solution. On Android 8, on the Available Networks screen, you can tap Choose Automatically and the problem stops, even if you are unable to connect to a network. Might also work for other android versions.
I have xiaomi a1 and still same problem.
If I put on automatic, phone will change to roaming network and I dont want that!
Im still on stock rom. If I take some custom rom will I have same problem.
Anybody know?????
Heyy Guys,
I'm creating this post after facing terrible issues and embarrassing situations because I can't send sms from my Poco X3. It's a new phone and barely a month old, and I've tried uninstalling updates for career services app, Google messages app rebooting the phone and what not!! Still rarely on some lucky day I can send sms and rest of the time I can't..!! It's really frustrating when you need to do online payment and need to send a verification text..!
Thankfully @Dandito from XDA forum replied to a thread for another poco phone and he said that
"The problem is existing only when the VOLTE service is enabled. Try to move on 3G only or just stop Volte under 4G and it will be ok. Unfortunately Xiaomi are using some specific technology for volte sms sending and the your network provider does not support it. The phone is trying to send SMS through SS7 instead of SIP protocol when VoLTE is enabled. I'm trying to find a hidden menu where I can eventually switch or choose a protocol but without success."
This fix worked for me miraculously therefore kudos to him for finding this..!! Respect+++++++ for this guy!!!
Now if anyone can find a fix for using volte and sending sms at the same time then please please do reply to this thread!! I'm trying my best to find a solution but your help would be great too!!
I did some tests and I have new findings..! Please hear me out!
I can't send sms from my sim in poco x3 when volte is on!!! And when it's off then also rarely it works... sometimes I can't receive any otp on this phone!!
Do note that this idea 4g sim works perfectly and can send and receive sms in my realme 1 with volte on !
Now other sim cards work perfectly in my poco x3!! I tried everyones sim in my house and it worked fine..!!
Now if I complain to idea people then they'll say that it works well on another phone so please complain to phone company..!
And if I go to poco then they'll say that change your simcard as other sim works fine!!!
I'm genuinely tired and frustrated and I get heavy embarrassed while making online payments and imp work stuff!! Sending and receiving SMS is fundamental and necessary and this is barely a month old device!!!
Guys any suggestions would be heavily appreciated
I use Volte on both my SIMS and send SMS normally. Jio and Vi (Vodafone Idea).

Regular stock ROM that came with my phone.
MIUI 12.0.8. Are you sure this is an actual problem that exists or something wrong particularly with your device. I haven't heard of anyone having this problem of being unable to send SMS while on VoLTE. I have multiple devices and multiple providers and they work fine on all of them too.

Well since your steps of troubleshooting have failed to reach a singular conclusion, I have a feeling that something got messed up during original pairing of your phone and that particular SIM card.
One test says your phone is fine because other SIMS do their job just fine.
Other test says your SIM is fine because if you put it in another phone and they do their job fine.
Which leads me to one conclusion. There is some kind of pairing glitch with that particular SIM and your phone.
I have only a few suggestions. And you might want to do them ANYWAY.
1: Go to Idea (now Vi) showroom, ask for a replacement SIM. You don't need to explain to them why you need it. Just say it doesn't work or it's scratched. Don't tell them about it working on other phones etc. New SIM costs around 30 - 100 depending if they follow official process or want money in their pockets. Activates within 4 hours with the same plan but OTP will not work for 24 hours.
2: In the meanwhile or if you can't get a replacement SIM use Isopropyl alcohol and clean the current SIM you have.
3: Factory reset your phone WITHOUT your SIM inside and set it up fully without the SIM. (Make sure you remove your Google Account before the Factory Reset.)
4: Last if all else fails. Take your phone to Mi Service Center and make up some stupid reason and ask them to flash your phone. Tell them you have already Factory Reset (3 times 4 times etc) and that it didn't work. By default they automatically will jump to Flashing it, no questions asked.
They will also flash a version of MIUI around 1 or 2 versions behind current version.
All the best and please update after trying these steps.

Dayyyyuuummmm...!! I'll definitely try that Man...!! Thanks a lot for those suggestions...!! Will surely update here in detail once the issue is resolved..!
For reference, I faced a similar issue with my Idea SIM after I got it replaced once. I could NOT absolutely make any calls on 3G.
Everyone's SIM in my phone the calls worked fine, my SIM in others phones ALSO worked fine for making calls on 3G. But there was something particularly wrong with this CURRENT SIM and my PHONE together.
I got a new SIM for 30/-
It got activated within 20 minutes.
Everything works fine now.
(No needed to Factory Reset)
It's some pairing miscommunication that occurs at the time of activation and that error somehow stays with the card and phone combined. I'm not an expert on this so I could be wrong.
Technology is weird.

Also one wierd little detail I'd like to share..! As we have Google apps in dialer and messages....and this is for messages app in particular..! Whenever I receivet these flash message or pop-ups of remaining balance or recharge expiry days left after every phone call or sms..... then in my current sim card it comes as a full page banner anything that's currently running will be interrupted unless I cancel that persistent flash message and then continue my work...like full opaque page no transparent or translucent or anything!! And if I put other sim cards then it'll literally show up in the bottom without any interruption!! Just a small place at the bottom of screen...!!! Such wierd stuff happens man! I still can't figure out the reason for that!! Both sim of same company and same recharge plans...still they have completely different behaviour and quality.... technology is genuinely wierd

Same issue with my new Vi SIM. (Didn't happen when it was iDea SIM on the same phone). I have tried every possible thing to block this behavior including contacting my service provider to let them know I don't need the messages cause I'm on Unlimited pack.
This is more to do an issue with the way Vi sends those messages as a priority/emergency and not as a regular USSD message.

Thanks a lot for all the help brother!! Cheers for life

I'm glad to be of help. I knew the issue was with that particular SIM pairing. Here's some bonus information for you.
Type *199# in VI
Then send 2
Then send 2
Then send 4
This will stop the Data Notification.
If I have genuinely helped you please give all the comments I've made that helped you a THUMBS UP.
That would really be appreciated on XDA
