Hey guys. Hope you guys can help. I have a rooted zoom and everytime I play any video say from YouTube or dice player or any other player I get a force close and no video will play after that till I reboot the device then videos will start playing till I get the force close in which case I will need to reboot the device to play a video.
Somebody said it has to do with the media server?
Any ideas on how to fix this problem??

Hi i was watching a video in the Mxplayer. After some time i removed the video while the player was still in the background. When i opened the player again it was showing an error message "This video cannot be played" with an OK button. When i close the error message the player instead of going back to the videos list, still trying to play the same file and the same error message is shown repeatedly. I have to force quit the app to stop the error message.

Looks like you are launching again from recent apps.
It may happen when you start play the video from external app. In that case mx player will be called by the activity. If you open again from recent app, it will call the particular activity rather than the main app activity. So, mx player will try to open the same file.
Just try to open mx player from launcher. Just play a video & close it. Now delete the file & open from recent file. It will open the main activity.
Bug on "auto rotate" if video will be started from external app, then it is not doing auto rotation.
If video started via internal mx player gui, then it works
Also using paid PRO version.
This is really a pain

Hi,
Immediately after reproducing the issue, kindly collect the bug report from help menu & share here
We will check your logs & revert back to you again.
i did that several times, still no answer ....
well, maybe you can't solve it
i installed another rotation tool to fix that ... it is dirty but better as waiting or uninstalling mx player
Hi,
S7 on Android 7.
How do I stop the video player automatically resuming from when it was last played?
i really want to just stick with this player as opposed to another app if poss. I see only a setting for autoplay
I want my video clips to play from the beginning every time I start the clip.
any ideas guys ?
thx for help
It should ask you when you try to play an already partially watched video, maybe you hit the check box to never ask again
Clear the video players data from settings > apps > video player
i tried this but it's the same result, nothing asked to me
any other idea please ?
up please the only thing it's showing me when i clear video player datas is the "how to use gesture tutorial"
if i first use a video already started just after clearing data, it will start from where i have left it then i think this part of "memory" is not stocked in the app datas
i contacted the support team of the app and they told me that actually there is no switch to turn this option off, it's by default that the player resume videos, they will consider the need
