But i would like to find a easy method for only rooting my tf300.
something like a simple script maybe?
I don't know exactly which version i have, i included a screenshot of my system.
I think this is Jelly Bean ota.

Indeed it's JB by OTA.
And my answer at your question is : have you search and read before some posts that you will find in this specific forum ?

On first go in my index : [INDEX][27th SEPT 12] INDEX of ROMS/RECOVERY/ROOT/GUIDES/FIRMWARE/KERNEL/VIDEOS/etc..
Read and search a little
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
and you will find that if you haven't rooted your tf300 before the JB update, you cannot rooted actually your device in JB :crying:
So you must wait a process for rooting your tf300 on JB
yeah sorry man, is just that all these version numbers are quite confusing for me.

I am very new to all this. Is there a idiots guide to explain what things mean? I have a post about 3.1 to 3.2. I do not understand everything I am told to do and would like to before I start. This way if I have a question I can ask properly. Any help would be great.

sorry for posting such thread just noobie... i got this nexus s m200 variant and just updated it to jb 4.1 via OTA.. can someone give me instruction how to root my phone.. because im a little scared in doing so cause i havent seen my nexus variant on the list.. i know it is spoon feeding but pls pardon me ... pls teach me how to root it permanenly without installing custom roms... thank you.

so I've been trying almost everything i could possibly find for last 6 hours but almost all one click rooting services just fail and im just having a frustrating time... if anyone could send me to the proper thread or give me a little guide it would be very much appreciated!

Also if you want root i suggest you to directly flash a customized Xperia ROM with most of the features from Stock ROM included

i read it all over and i have model c6616 which i should have mentioned and a locked bootloader... so i still need help, that thread was for c6602. Sorry its my fault for not being exact enough "I'm new to editing my phone and even knowing the specs of it"

Hi there, i just got the tf300t pad and i want to install katkiss 6.0. Anyway i been looking for instruction to install the necesario recovery but there is different post and i don't know what instrucctions should i follow. If you want to install MM 6.0, you need Kang TWRP [email protected] That's mandatory!!!
So I would like to recommend to you to look at following thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/transformer-tf300t/development/recovery-twrp-t3046479. There is for any question you may have to find the correct answer. Good luck!

Thanks for the help, just a question , the thread has instruccions for an upgrade, but why if i didn't install any custom recovery, there is another steps that i should take, i was looking some threads that says i need to unlock my bootloader, so what should i do?

Sorry, I thought your boot loader is already unlocked. This is one the basic requirements before you may be able to install both any custom recovery and any custom rom. There is also the fact being on the latest ASUS stock rom "Jelly Been".
That means you have to do your home work first before you do anything what can brick your tablet. How to do? you will find easily in the forum.

There are many tutorial on the internet explaining this. While many of local android manufacturer have poor developer support, I guess something as simple as rooting is possible.
absolutely I just found many good way to do this from xda group in telegram, anyway there are a lot of good people right there. they're really² patiently teach me a little by little until finally I got what I needed. so ya this case have been solved
