There is an Android Q&A forum above this one so why are you not posting questions there, or better still in your device specific forum

[Q] Desire HD Gingerbread Push

I saw that the Desire HD is getting the 2.3 pushed in Europe. Is this going to change our wonderful rooted roms to a newer GB version or are they all off this current release?

There are a few ROMs that are already available to us based off of the official HTC Gingerbread release
Android Revolution
RCMiX
Inspired Ace
To name a few
In Coredroid's thread the latest change log says it's still using a leaked GB version, but it may be different on the DHD forum

I only repeat what I read in the chef's posts
From Revolution "About" section:
Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) - official HTC RUU 2.36.405.8
From RCMiX:
This rom is based on Official Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) - Ace S build 2.36.405.8
From Inspired Ace "Features":
-Based on the latest official unbranded Desire HD ROM - RUU 2.36.405.8 (Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread w/ Sense 2.1)
I'm running Revolution, and with the latest update came a custom kernel. Now Gingerbread is overclocked, too

From what i've seen .5 was released approximately April 29, .8 was released approximately May 2.
Check the Change Log in Revolution. When he originally released Revolution 5.0 it was with RUU 2.36.405.5, but his next release was 2.36.405.8

I know, I have ran both. But when the update was reported this morning, and on HTC's Desire HD website it says 2.36.405.5 is what is going out to phones.
I was wondering the same thing and haven't found anything concrete... I will add that in the DesireHD forum some were reporting the version after the update was in fact 2.36.405.8 so it could be what homeslice inferred...

I have the same question

No custom rom?

Why there is no custom rom for this phone? Its been 7 years since released date and this device just stuck in Android 7 and can't update to newer Android version by custom rom
HTC doesn't release kernel source code HTC 10 EVO through
