I'm running OpenSensation and tried to listen to some music last night but noticed the album art that I've embedded in the file does not show up in Apollo. Instead it seems to download its own art with really crappy resolution too. I've tried creating separate folders and putting the JPG file in there instead but it didn't help. Is there an upper limit to how high the resolution can be? Most of the album art I've embedded is quite high resolution.
Poweramp reads the album art just fine but I like the simplicity of Apollo so if there's any way to solve this issue I'd prefer to use it instead.
EDIT: Just as I posted this I stumbled upon another thread about this here on xda and it seems it's not supported in Apollo.
EDIT 2: Found the apk for Google Music Player here on XDA (not available on Play Store here in Sweden) and I'm using it instead.

I love the Samsung Music Player. However, it is missing much of my album art. Now, I pride myself on how organized my iTunes is. I do not have any missing album artwork on my PC. Yet its not showing up on my phone. Can someone please give some advice on how to make it show up?
I find "Album Art Grabber" is a great app for grabbing missing album art.
It's free and works great. I highly recommend it.
Thak you so much. Exactly what i needed.

My guess is your files are AAC and not MP3 - most Android phones have problems with a AAC tags. If your MP3 files are missing album art you need to add the album art as tags and then phone will be happy. MP3tag is a great app for this.
yay for winamp on android
iTag is actually a better replacement for the Album Art Grabber.
Actually I much prefer using Windows Media Player and dragging and dropping what I want over. It takes all album art and even scrollable data and allows it to be played and show in the Captivates music player if the album actually has any . Nothing like having a full lossless wav file to listen to especially if you have some quality ear buds. My sons with their brand new I4 phones are jealous of how their Moms & mine look..and having the equalizer showing certainly adds to the wow factor..

I like to use Mediamonkey to embed album art into the mp3 file. It works well.

Yeah mp3tagger is what I use. Actually embeds album art into the mp3. The app also lets you edit the ID3 tags. Works great for me
All the songs That I have on my phone has the same background cover for every songs, how do I remove it ALL? I have sense 3.5 on my phone. RcMix v3.1
Most likely you have a picture saved in your music folder. And since your songs do not have an embedded album art for each song it is using that pic for everything. I myself do not use a hidden jpeg pic for album art. I embed each song's tag with an album art when I rip it. If I have to add an album art for each song after being ripped I use dBpoweramp(not free) or MP3Tag(free).
I use droID3Tagger. It's free in the market and will search for and embed album art into the song.

I will have to check that out fernandezhjr. That may come in real handy.
Edit: DroID3Tagger works well, but only works if the music files are MP3. I also gave another app called Audio Tagger a try and it works well also. Plus it does other formats besides MP3s. Both apps are top notch and will fix up your music library in no time.
Okay, so after painstakingly apply nice album art to my music I load it onto my phone only to find that the stock music player doesn't have large Album art displayed. Instead, they create a small, low res. thumbnail for you.
I came from the Samsung galaxy s phone's stock music player which I thought had a great UI. The only reason I'm wary of installing market players is because they ask for a ton of permissions like viewing my accounts, etc.
Landscape view only makes the album art a bit bigger.
Any suggestions for music players? or am I not using it correctly? And does anyone know if this is Stock Android or Motorola's player?
Doubletwist....by far the best I have used. Gives you great options when phone is locked still have music controls and thumbnail is as big as the screen. Its very nice on this phone.
Also gives u a paid option that scans your music and autoretreives the album art for you.
Title says it all. Does anyone have a good video player that has cover art (either built in (added w/ iTunes) or via folder.jpg files)?
I've been using mVideoPlayer, and it's a decent player, but the most recent update removed folder.jpg (and seemingly cover art completely from non-categorized video files) support for some unfathomable reason. There is still an old version on the market (mVideoPlayer old) that is not being updated, but still has the old features. I'd just prefer something that was updated at least semi-regularly.
A music player (like PlayerPro, or something if it has the support I want) would be fine too.
Can someone suggest a good player?

I've been using stock player always, it's the only one that put's cover art in my car on display and read any language in file names, so for example on my car display I get a proper album picture and Russian song name in Russian not some crazy symbols.

I don't need it for music. That's covered by any of the music players. I need cover art for video files (mp4 files, specifically).

Sorry long day, did not see video in title.
No worries. mVideoPlayer old is working for me, but I'm still looking to see if there's a better one, especially one that is still supported.
Hi. i am using viperS rom (i don't really think that this is a rom issue!) and noticed the album covers appear a little shady in built-in music player compared to the images i tag to them. most of other players like google play music or n7 or apollo does the same thing. actually the only app that i found that shows them correctly is poweramp. after some searching in sd card and root, i noticed an app called "mediaprovider" takes all album covers, resises all of theme to 320x320 resolutions and saves them in "sdcard/android/data/com.android.providers.media/albumthumbs" without extension and all music players use those files as covers.so i renamed an album cover (a 600x600 one) to the name of one of those files and removed the extension and put it in that directory and it worked and music app showed it correctly. so here is my question: can mediaprovider.apk be hacked to resize the covers to a larger resolution like 600x600? thanks!
