This is a port of this mod for the Epic 4g, and should get rid of that phantom voicemail notification permanently.
Thanks to danipoak for making this mod known to me.
It is always a good idea to create a nandroid before flashing just in case something goes wrong.
This zip simply replaces the Phone.apk with the modded version.
160 DPI Support for AOKP Milestone 5.2 with Phantom VM Fix
Phantom VM Fix for AOKP Build 31
Just flash in CWM/TWRP
A few issues with 160 dpi:
The long-hold home recents will break, so I recommend installing Search to Recents for MS5.2 I quickly threw together: Search to Recents for Milestone 5.2
(thanks to bodi524 and MrLuje)
An alternate fix is to go to Settings > Rom Control > General UI > Long press home action > Show recents and then reboot.
The recents thumbnail is cut off
The power menu breaks - you'll be presented with "Your phone will shut down" instead of options to reboot and so on.. I haven't found a solution for this yet.
For CM9 Beta 1, 2, and AOKP Build 32 there is now a setting to disable the voicemail notification in the Phone app settings as explained here.
If the toggle does not seem to be taking effect try this.
Phantom VM Fix Archive (for outdated versions of ICS)
Thanks and finally first!

Nope, it should be completely gone.
Doesn't seem to be working for me. Flashed it twice now. The only thing I can think that would be affecting it is that I installed that VVM app from the other thread.

Gonna try that. It was the VVM ported from the NS4G I think. Forget which thread it was from.
Edit: Nope, didn't work after clearing cache and dalvik. Weird. Gonna flash Beta 0 again and try anew.
Edit2: Seems to be working fine now.

None. The phone.apk is completely different, so why would any of these work with MIUI v4?
But speaking of which, OP you should do this for the phone.apk in MIUI v4 as well.
Thanks a mint for releasing the AOKP mod. Made my day.
Hi,
I was using SwitchPro Widget for ages, I even paid for it.
But since I moved to ICS (4.0.4) ROM with Sense 3.6 the GPS toggle stopped working for me.
So my question is, does anyone know another widget on the market with similar functionality as SwitchPro but working GPS toggle on ICS Sense 3.6 (Sense 3.6 is important because I know foe sure that on Fallout Sense 4 the SwitchPro GPS toggle still works)?
Thanks in advance!

Hey glad you like it the Beta 2 is up, which allows google play store as well, may add one more free app through popular demand. pro version will focus on true customisation. by the first final release i will know exactly what level of stuff will be in free/pro. Halo support ill add for future features - what exactly do you need in terms of integrationf with halo? are you saying that if you use the gesture to launch google now in the halo window so its floating? that sounds logical

Hi, I´ve made this thread so that we don´t bother in the Devs section.
Last night I´ve flashed CM10.1 by Team Canjica - Nightly 10th September.
It´s an awesome rom!
I´m facing some minor bugs.
1- Ringtones, Alarms and Notifications sounds.
I´ve replaced my Audio folder inside /system/media as I always did. Checked the permissions are set to rw-r-r but I can´t either select those audio files from the audio settings and also, can´t play them. If I put those same files inside the sd, I can play them, but I can´t select them.
2- NDrive
I can´t use nDrive 11. It feezes at start image. Anyone else faced this problem?
3- YouTube
Sometimes freezes, specially when trying to go to other part of a movie with the progress bar.
4- Shortcut / Notification screen
Is it possible to permanently hide the shortcut page that appears before turning on to the notification screen?
5- Governors
Which governor you can recommend for a basic use, phone, whatsapp, some camera, wifi and bluetooth.
6- Sd-Card
Should I format my card or repartion it in any special way to make it work better with CM10?
I´ve been using the same sd since my i9003, using gingerbread, then CM, and afterwards I changed it to my Advance, JellyBean and now CM.
Thanks indeed.
I'm facing troubles with instagram's advanced camera option. That doesn't work, I got black screen. It is solved by disabling HW overlays, but when I reboot the phone the bug returns.

If you're having problems with your ext-sd you need a file manager like "root browser" or "astro file manager"

Mediaserver Killer
Hi guys,
probably you know, that the "Mediaserver battery draining bug" still exists (Just google it...).
I´ve seen, there are already some ways to kill Mediaserver with scripts, flash, copy to...but no app, that does that.
So here it is, a free app for the comfortable user
What this app does:
# Kill Mediaserver whenever you want/need
1.) When default lockscreen unlocked
2.) Certain time interval/schedule
What you need:
# Root required
Download Mediaserver Killer from Playstore
# You just need to give Mediaserver Killer Superuser access (remember choice forever) and disable Superuser notification toast or statusbar.
That´s all.
# I may implement other options if needed

Just a noob question, I need to add some especial apps(like phone or sms, camera.. app) to "ignore list"? I mean, is there any app that if, you don't add it, may cause any problem with the phone behavior. I don't add any app yet.

Actually, you do not need to add any apps...if you, for example, listen to some music, kill Mediaserver......you will notice the killing.

Add the phone app (& you can add sms app too) to ignore list. That happens maybe cause the ringtones are scaned by MS & add your music player to the list too.
