I purchased The Avengers in HD and SD using the free offer on my S3. It's available on up to 5 devices, so I tried to get it on my Tab 2 10.1 stock. How come it's only available in SD on the 10.1? And the same for lots of other movies too.
I think you need to contact the retailer
May be because the tab2 is certified as 720p divx only not 1080p device
Try changing build prop file via es file explorer to s3 or so or copy from other device and replace may be will work (but make a nandroid backup first)

As in, to output to the TV? Not to my knowledge. But I don't know everything either :silly:
No not for the 7" variety sorry

It just makes me wonder why they wasted the dock connectors on the 7 inch if you can't use them. Should have just put a micro USB on the bottom like most phones.
You could still use DLNA but you will require a tv that supports dlna.

Not sure that will work for netflix and youtube. It does work with video files, picture files and music files.
They have a new DLNA app called Allshare cast. But it only works on these so far. (Galaxy S III, Note II and Note 10.1)

General != Q/A
I have a Note 10.1, a Tab 2 7.0 and the original Note. Through Samsung Link I can pay videos on the phones sdcard on the Tab without any problem, but any time I try doing that on the Note 10.1 I get a "Sorry, video can't play".
Can the rest of you play videos without problems?

After a short (yet cheap) disappointment with the Google Chromecast, I'm looking to get a nice piece of hardware to place next to my TV in the living room.
Wanted features:
HD Video playing capabilities with wide variety of formats.
Play downloaded files.
Play from distance (inside the house). Video could be either streamed OTA or transferred to a locally attached storage unit through a LAN connection (either wireless or not, the router is gonna be right next to it anyhow... :laugh: )
Affordability is always a pro...
Raspberry Pi with raspbmc or openelec?

Does that little thing play HD videos without any glitches?

The gbox midnight mx2 is an awesome device. Its essentially a rooted android computer that uses your TV as a monitor. You can get info on it from matricom.net
You would need a wireless keyboard/remote device to control it. There is a Logitech one recommended on the amazon page.
You can also use a 32gb micro SD card for additional storage too

Its 25 dollar for raspberri or 100 for the other one. Does it really worth the extra buck?

Yes it plays them very well.
I yet have to find a file which doesn't play well.
It's not an out of the box experience, but the price and after all results are worth the hassle.
You can use your android as a remote and there are a lot of plugins (online streaming etc.)
Just found an article that Samsung released a music streaming app it's free with no ads for a limited time.

And get it running on any non samsung device:
You're going to need a capable file manager with root support. Total Commander is good, as is Root Explorer. First, find and back up your build.prop file in the /system directory (it can be restored later). Now open the build.prop and find the product, brand, and manufacturer lines. If you are using a Nexus 5, for example, those lines read 'Nexus 5' and 'Google.' It will be different for every phone. Edit the lines to read as follows.
ro.product.model=Galaxy S4
ro.product.brand=Samsung
ro.product.manufacturer=Samsung
Samsung isn't plugging into any deep, dark services in its devices to make Milk work – it just checks the build.prop. Go ahead and grab the APK mirrored below and install it, then reboot. You'll be able to stream music just fine, but not log into a Samsung account for syncing stations. Because this is US only, you'll need a US VPN if using Milk in another country.

I accidentally the whole skip limit...
I linked up my Galaxy S5 to my Galaxy note pro 12.2 using SideSync 3.0 and it works great being able to use everything on my tablet from my phone. But I cant transfer pics or files using a drag and drop like the instructions explain. Any advice?
Use Dropbox or another cloud tool... Dropbox and Google+ canautomatically upload pictures, i.e. backup your stuff too... I hate tools that limit themselves to specific Samsung (or other) devices...
Just my opinion ?
