I uninstalled a few apps using Titanium Backup. I restarted and they're back! Can someone enlighten me?
Why bother uninstalling, just freeze them.

Hi all,
What is a good backup app to use that will back up and restore all apps and their data. I haven't had luck with Titanium, it would restore the apps but not the data.
Thanks,
Ho'okani

I use Titanium Backup Pro all the time, never had a problem with it not restoring any apps/data. You can give MyBackup Pro a go...
MyBackup Pro works better for me. With titanium after flashing a rom it doesn't seem to be able to find previous back ups.
I have had to run fix permissions after restoring with mybackup pro, but at least it does find backup's done on previous rom installations so I am able to restore everything.
I had the cwm boot into recovery problem. I've managed to get passed it and installed a rom from the internal sdcard. I copied my titanium backup directory from the micro sd card, but every time I start TB I get this error:
"your rom is rooted but the "su" binary has non-optimal access rights, which may cause problems.
Titanium backup pro can fix this problem automatically in many cases, do you want to proceed?"
I select "yes, do it" and reboot like instructed, but I get the error again every time.
Any one else haveing this issue? any help would be appreciated.
Also, I can't read my micro sdcard from recovery.
try clearing data for superuser and try again, if that don't work see if your su binary is up to date
tb problem
I apologies for my noobness, but I don't know how to do either.
Look in Settings>Apps>All>Superuser clear data
uinstalling titanium backup
Hi, I have a question about uninstalling titanium backup.
I have Samsung Galaxy S2 and I am rooted with CF-Root, with Gingerbread, and I have a lot of bloatware frozen with Titanium Backup. If I uninstall Titanium Backup, what will happen with the apps I have frozen? Will they get defrosted? Is there a risk involved?

Not sure...but if your phone's been running fine with those items frozen...then why not just uninstall them using TB...before you uninstall TB?
Also...maybe do a nandroid before proceeding. Otherwise, have your ROM handy so that you can flash it if something does not go right.
I flashed sensonic HD rom and when trying to restore apps through titanium backup, the screen gets stuck at "restoring app" and nothing happens..
what might be the problem??
Take a backup of titanium app and it's data (the backup of apps you've made)... clear app data of titanium and reinstall it and see whether it's working?
cleared data but that did not work
Aah well, Try not to restore all apps in a go, may be there's a problem while restoring a particular app??
It gets stuck even while your restoring individual apps??
yes even while restoring individually and tried many apps..
same problem...
even tried wiping cache and dalvic... still same problem..
and these are not system apps either...
Arrghh??
Did you take your backup while you were using ART and now restoring it with Dalvic selected.. Or vice versa??
I also had this issue a few times. I had to restore my user data little by little.
Do you have the latest SuperSU v1.93?
Maybe TB isn't stuck you just have to wait. How many apps do u want to restore? Some apps with big data?
Hello Everyone,
I flashed a few roms and I've been trying to back up apps and app data but restoring has not yet been successful. This is the first phone that is giving me problems using titanium back (phasing error )
And i have also tried using Mybackup but nothing is working any ideas ..
Or is there a way to back up apps another way ?
what app that u tried to restore ?
i have the same issues, but most likely a social media app , in my case it's LINE . tried to backing up using titanium backup and restore it but it doesn't work.
Titanium backup and that's called my backup .
Nothing backs up because of the phasing error in titanium ..
Apps just don't install in other ..
Is there a way in TWRP ?
Did anybody get Titanium Backup to work?
My NX616J is on V2.24 with root , TWRP, and open_gapps.
It works well, except that I cannot get Titanium Backup to work.
It always hangs, after I start a backup or a restore?
Backup worked for me

I reinstalled
Titanium Backup
Titanium Backup Add-on
Titanium Backup PRO
and gave all permissions explicitly.
Titanium Backup opens properly,
it sees all apps, but it crashes as soon
as a start a backup.
If I use a backup from another device,
it sees all data, but it cannot install anything
from the backup.
What am I overlooking, since you say it works for you?
