If you want to boot in Download mode just turn your phone off and then press simointanly POWER BUTTON+VOLUME DOWN+HOME and it will appear an working Andoid.

Hey,
I have to tell u that hotboot and downloading modes are different.
In most of the custom roms u can access the by long pressing the power button. Or press the volume button+power button+home button to enter downloading mode! Hope i helped you!

Pull the battery.
Is it going into recovery at every power on? I had that problem with jp3 running the stock captivate kernel. Solution was to get into download and reflash the phone.

Which rom do you have? Did you create a back up? Try holding vol down and power on. That has worked for me on all roms.

while in recovery, use adb...
adb reboot download
use the first link I posted to restore back to stock.
Please READ and your problems will be solved.
i used I9000XXJP3-REV03-PDA-mid-CL470734
and the holding vol down and power just keep turning back on to recovery

Download rom manager and hit boot into recovery or while phone is off hold volume up volume down and power when you see Samsung logo release power

i flashed a cwm recovery of my gt-p3110 with a cwm recovery of gt-p3100 and now im stuck on start-up and it keeps on restarting. i can't turn it off. i can't go to download mode nor recovery mode. anyone? help?

Guess you've tried to hold down the power button down for over 30 seconds & Tried doing the same with the volume down key to get in to download mode?

good luck, I try to help where i can.
So, after testing uninstalling CM13 I decided to restore nand_backup, everything went well. but now I can't boot into "recovery" by key combination(vol_up+power) it always stuck at "cyanogen_fastboot" screen, I'v tried fastboot method and from there I can access twrp but key combination don't work.
No key combination is working(maybe I don't know the key combination), anyone know any workaround?

By this process you can bypass cyanogen_fastboot screen & boot into twrp.

After you switch of your phone press volume up first then the power and keep perssing both until you see twrp, and you can also do that from the fastboot mode. It's still working in my phone buddy.

Power+volume down check this... It worked for me.... Msg if it works...
