Hey guys,
I have a problem that has always been on my phone throughout all CM10 ROMs that I have had. Whenever I would take a screenshot and would want to send it via MMS, it would turn really blurry when it is sent. But I can access it in the gallery app and it is not blurry at all. I think it gets compressed as it is sending, I am not sure.
Anyone else have this problem and/or knows how to fix it?
Thanks

Nah man. No one replied and then I got sad and then I forgot about it lol . I just email the pictures now if they are important. Unfortunately I have not found anymore info on this besides them being compressed while being sent.

Are you using a third party messenger I'm using go sms. I figured it out. You just have to go into settings and mess with the size that it sends.

Come on man I realize that. I was just hoping there was a way to remove the play button from a picture. I could understand it being there on a video but not a pic.

This problem plagues tons of android 2.2.x devices...captivate and atrix included. They located the problem and patched it in CM7 for SGS. When we get it ported, the problem will go away.

Does anyone have problems receiving MMS pictures from iPhone users?? I tend to get a long message saying "one or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your terminal."
I used to get a similar message on the Atrix. Why the hell does this happen??
Not an Android issue, it's AT&T wanting to give you a "multimedia experience" which annoys the hell out of me. Once the ROMs come out, it'll be gone. It was the same with the HTC Aria, Samsung Captivate, and HTC Inspire 4G... With my last phone, Inspire 4G, any rom applied broke the play-button thing, so photos just showed up like on normal phones.
Why must AT&T try to get their hands all over everything? It's so annoying.
First thing I did when I got my phone was delete the stock samsung mms app and replace it with the stock aosp mms app
I use SUFBS but root explorer does the same....

Hi All,
First, I wanna say that you guys are so freakin awesome! I've been an xda lurker for a while, but figured it's time for me to join and interact with my fellow HTC Sensation-ers.
It'd be a good chance for me to contribute to these forums, as well as getting some help for my Sensation problems. Glad to be a part of you guys now
Question: Why doesn't Facebook for Android push notifications work on my Sensation 4G?
Background Info: Private Messages in Facebook get pushed, but regular notifications (e.g. wall posts, comments, likes) do not get pushed to my device.
Went into facebook settings, and everything it's at its default values (never touched a thing). Notifications are on.
Other information pertaining to situation: Background data is ON. Always-On mobile data has been tried on and off. Same results both ways.
Can you help a brotha out?
Thanks, guys! I look forward to being a part of your community.
I read that if you sign in on a blackberry it fixes that for android due to a permission that Facebook for bb gives. I don't know if its true but worth a try I guess

Hi fr0zenblood75,
Thanks for the response.
I also have read that before. I actually went far enough to borrow my friends Bold 9780 without him knowing
Alas, it did not work
Does every Sensation user have this issue? Or am I in the minority with this?
Also, I've restarted my phone, factory reset, uninstall and reinstall app....nothing works.
Facebook kinda sucks. You try another app like friendcaster?

It sucks that the Facebook app is garbage
I guess the developer has no incentive to get the app working properly for everybody, seeing that it's not ad-supported.
I've always had this problem since froyo. Even with the resolution down it tells me the video is too large to send. Seems to be the only thing I missed on iPhone. Any ideas?

will do.
The problem is when your SMS app send your message to the radio to be sent out. It is not devided properly. Its actually a complex problem. I personally believe the problem is kernel based. As the kernel is the communication link between software and hardware. There are developers working on it.
Edit: Try sending long messages as mms. Will fix your problem temporally

Thx for the explanation i understand better the problem now and makes sense. :good:
I can not respond to group text messages. This is pretty annoying when everyone else seems to be able to. I am using the stock sms client, is this the case, or am I missing something?
If there is nothing else I can do short of downloading a new app, anyone have any recommendations?
